This thread's a no-brainer. Seems pretty weird that we don't have one of these, but whatever - recommend your favorite anime (or manga) of all time.

I definitely recommend D. Gray-Man to anyone that has never seen it! It takes place in a Fictional 19th Century, it's kind of a religion based anime that centers around a war between exorcists and a man named The Millennium Earl and his army of Akuma (not technically demons, but a machine named Akuma) which have planed to destroy the world since the times of Noah's Ark. In fact The Millennium Earl caused the great flood. It's has a decent amount of bloodshed and frighteningly graphic imagery in the anime (more so in the manga) including a scene were a man has an Akuma skeleton (Level 0) climb into his body through his face. (in the anime you only see the shadow of it happening in the manga you actually witness it.)
I really like D. Gray-Man emotion_awesome

D.Gray-Man is definitely a good one! I'm not too happy with the way the manga has been going, though, but that's just me. Not because it's bad, but because it's depressing me. ^^U
Normally I'd be recommending Soul Eater, but since we all should know that already I'll have to go to another favorite biggrin
I would recommend Baccano. It's one of the most well written series out there, with a very interesting way of telling its story. It's basically set in the early 20th century, the times of the Mafia, and has three different story lines that are connected by two things: Immortals, and a lovable pair of thieves named Isaac and Miria. It's a story with a lot of plot and definitely is for those who do not mind actually thinking when they're watching it. The first run through is confusing, especially the first episode- but when you see it all come together you'll be like "Oh, I get it now!" and things become clearer.
I would recommend seeing it in English, too, because it's a nearly perfect dub by Funimation. Why? Because they do it right, with accents and everything.

Surprise - mine is Umineko. It's the most simultaneously sweet, smart, bitter, loving, and unique series I've experienced. I shall always recommend. That is all.

Ao no Exorcist!!! (Blue Exorcist) It's about a boy raised in a monastery and finds out that he's actually the son of Satan, who kills his foster father- whom he considers his true father. Then he vows to "kick Satan's a**" (lol) and enrolls at a school for training future Exorcists. =3
