I know the name of the priestess of Byakko was Suzono Ohsugi, but I saw her name as something else somewhere, and I wanted to know if maybe she had a different name in the anime, or something else like that.
(Oh, and you can see the priestess of Byakko at 8 yrs. old in Genbu Kaiden vol. 1. I think she's so adorable!! whee And I was able to tell, even before I remembered that the priestess' name was Suzono, that it was her because of the way she had her hair (she apparently kept it the same way since she was 8 years old xd )

crying I've heard that they're not going to come out with the Byakko version of the story because they revealed alot of it in the anime of Fushigi Yuugi Mysterious Play... depressing!! crying

Watase-sama said it was one of her dreams to write all the stories of the Priestesses... but then again, she also screamed at herself for being a bad writer in the earlier FY parts where she gave away spoilers for the Genbu and Byakko series without thinking, and now she has to conform to those spoilers. (Her thoughts, not mine! Just parroting, here.)
I pray to every god in every universe in existence that I get to learn of all the stories of the Priestesses!!! crying

Shadow_girl148 she'll probably end up writing the byakko story out, shes come to far to stop with just the other three stories. but the only reason she's doing the Genbu story is because it left so many people from the OVA wanting to know more about her- but for Suzuno it told us just about everything about her- plus we already know the characters... and then there are the flashbacks and whatnot..... and the only thing we really know about the Priestess of Genbu is that her father supposedly killed her and then himself and also that two of her Benbu seven stayed in that mountain to protect the 'Hoji'?

I hope Suzuno's story gets told. Yeah, we know that she loved Tatara and Byakko wouldn't let them be together. And of course we know about Tokaki and Subaru. But there's still so much more than can be done with this. It's a love story about two people seperated into two seperate worlds and they keep that love going until they die, only to be reunited by death (at least in the anime, not sure of the manga). It's a story that needs to be told.
When I first heard that Watase-sensei was writing the story of another priestess, I hoped it was Suzuno. She had the strength not to be devoured and the strength to lose but continue to love. She sounds like an interesting character to me.

Not only that, but it'd be the only FY story with more than one main pair (Suzuno/Tatara and Tokaki/Subaru), and Suzuno seems like the perfect miko--from what we know, she was strong enough to beat the beast god, and to keep loving Tatara (and vice-versa) even though she knew she couldn't be with him (like you said, Sadara-san). I really think that it would be an enjoyable series to read (and possibly watch, if we were to get lucky ^_^). 3nodding
