Heze had been busy, though she was pleased to finally be training to be a protector, she was finding it strange to see her father in her grandfathers role. Though she was worried about her grandfather, so she tried to spend time with him too. But right at this moment she was relaxing, though after resting for a little hile she was going to find out her hiding place and gather her treasures in the bag she had for her things ready for travel. Laying by the lake, looking at the woven threads that Eden's mouse had helped make.
Haki had got much better at running on this terrain, and after spending some time with Sonnet and Heze in 'training' he had started to become more familiar with their ways and customs and their strategic positions.... but it was a slow process. He was on down time, the hairs on his neck standing on egde as a wind blew through.... the dessert was far warmer than here, still his wings ruffled and he pulled them closer for extra warmth. He wasn't sure where he was going.... ok, that was only half true, his eyes often looked for Heze during his down time.... but still.... it wasn't until he saw her laying next to the lake that he realised his destination. Her side. He couldn't see what she was doing but it seemed she was looking at something. Haki approached, getting closer and closer as his hooves ate up the ground between them, looking down at her he found his breath stolen once more; a reaction he was getting used to around Heze. Still he smiled, despite the strange shape of it due to his 'beak'. "What you have there? Heze." He asked, looking at the introcate woven thing before her.
Heze looked up and smiled at Haki, her worried mood lightening at the sight of him, having been with him nearly all day every day since that nightmare day when he had been brought here nearly dead. "This?..." Looking at the bag that had been in front of her nose. "Its a bag.... The two leggids use them for carrying many things at once. Eden pulled one of her great grandfathers apart to see how it was made... I don't know if its the same substance the two leggids use but she made several of these with the help of Mossup. Since we decided to move she made some more and some bigger ones so we can carry important things with us. No one complained as it meant that she was resting... Especially as she was designing other things before she was set to making bags.... I think shes getting annoyed that people keep interrupting her inventing because shes pregnant.... I was just thinking ovr what of my treasures I would take with me when we leave..." Not having many treasures. but some were bery special.
Haki nodded and listened. "Treasures?" He asked, his interest instantly perked at the idea. With more charm than he had intended lacing his voice he practically purred, "What treasures would a treasure such as you have?" With a blush and a shake of his head he was tempted to take back his words, he hadn't meant to sound so forward, or at least that was how his mind was taking it in that moment....

Heze blushed deeply and stood, slipping her neck through the loop of the bag so that it slid down her neck. Looking at Haki, still blushing. "I'll show you, I was going to go there anyway." Gesturing with her nose which direction sh was going to go, starting to walk along with him to where she hid her treasures.
Haki didn't say anything more, fearing what might spill forth from his lips. What he did do was nod and follow her without question. It was strange to him just how close he felt to Heze. They may never have touched, may never have shared anything more intimate.... but Haki did indeed feel close to her. Her strength and beauty, her delicate voice and build, the sway of her hips, the strength of her wings.... yes, in Haki's eyes she was perfect. More than perfect. Had he ever stopped and took te imeto imagine his perfect mare his mind would not have conjured up Heze.... his imagination not good enough to do so.
He looked around, he was sure he recognised this place. "You hide them? These treasures?"
Nodding as she looked around, getting her bearings and finally moving towards one of the trees, carefully moving the rock that his her treasures. "Precious things should be guarded.... even if most of them are silly things that a little foal snuck away." Blushing again and carefully fishing out the contents of her hidy hole, some feathers, another bell she had kept as a reminder of Auva, a dry moon flower her grandfather had given her, some beads, a crystal, some shells, some bits of coloured cloth that had been part of twolegger items, some pretty autumn leaves. Silly things mostly, the kind of thing a foal would gather as treasure, the bracelet he had made her was also there having moved it to her treasures when she started doing so much training. Setting the bag down next to the collection.

Haki looked down with bright eyes at her treasures, he chuckled a little but not in a way that would be taken as him mocking her. No, it was simple pure joy... and she had shared it with him. Of course, his eyes fell upon the braclet he had made and he blushed once more... she had kept it? That strangely surprised him, after it disappeared from her hoof he had assumed she was simply finished with it.
"They are beautiful." He said softly, pulling his eyes to the other treasures. "Why not.... keep the things you can not replace. I shall aid you in collecting more things...." He cleared his throat. "....if you like."

"I was very young when I started collecting things." Picking up the bracelet and putting it in the bag of things she was going to keep. "Besides now its time to save treasures that are important, things that come with a story." Placing the bell in the bag as well, looking at the crystal and sighing. "I always wished I could make something pretty from that, when I found it it looked like there was a rainbow hidden in it."
Haki reached forward, careful not to touch Heze as he did so, and picked up the crystal in his claw. "What kind of thing?" He moved it around so the light caught within it and bounced off sending rainbows scattering across the ground. He was still getting use to words like necklace and dreamcatcher in her language, they weren't things either of them used regular, but he did ask; "A chime..... eh... that is right I think.... maybe something that everyone can see.... a constant no matter were we travel too?"
Heze shrugs, watching him make rainbows with the crystal, that not having been what she meant but it made her smile to see the rainbows bounce over the grass and dance around. "If you look into the middle theres a rainbow too.... As for what... I don't know I've never been much of a maker...."
