Since it opened, Club Youkai remained open for all. Well, it was open, warm armed welcome was far from what most received.
The secretive bartender, who went by no particular name for the humans, never spent more than the time it was worth to serve a drink and then move away from the client. The drunks who had grown to frequent the bar were usually the kind who wanted to gloom on their own, with no interruption, or rather share a quiet drink with their friends. Now and again a drunk decides to get rowdy, but they never last long, the owner is quite intolerable of it.
The woman throw them out the door before they manage to disrupt anyone other than the previously mentioned woman.
Today was yet anotheer of those days, dull drunks, little work. So, the bartender moved to the piano. Not many noticed it, but it was clean and tuned; it appeared to be in use often. The bartender took a seat, and opening the case over the keys begun to play.
She seemed to enjoy playing... a little joy seemed to make it to her blue eyes....

Byakuren walked inside the bar. She was not planning on having a drink herself, but hoping to see a friend. She looked at the counter, but didn't see her. She said she was the bar owner, right? Oh, she didn't remember. A lot had happened since they last got to talk proper. It was then that she heard the piano playing. It was a nice piece, not one you'd expect in a bar, really... well... Byakuren looked to its source and saw the oni she had wished to see. She smiled warmly and made her way over to the oni's back and stood behind her, arms crossed over her stomach as she listened to the piano playing Ibara.
Ibara played it beautifully. Byakuren leaned forward, holding her head over Ibara's shoulder. "What lovely playing, Ibara." She said, with a smile on her face. She hoped that she wouldn't startle Ibara.

The voice, Ibara did not recognize at first, so she sullenly responded with a small growl,"What have I told ye drunks about creeping up on m--?!" But as she turned around, playing a hand on the deeper notes of her piano, the oni turned a small shade of red,"Ah! Byakuren-!"
She turned around, "I am sorry, I didn't think it-it'd be you!"
"T-thanks..." The oni rubbed the back of her head, quickly readjusting her hat,"I haven't seen you in a long time..."

Byakuren smiled as Ibara recognized her. "Oh, I'm sorry, Ibara. I didn't mean to startle you. That was really nice playing." Byakuren said.
When Ibara said it had been a long time since that had last seen each other, Byakuren wrapped her arms around her and said, "Yes, it has." She told her. She released her from her hug and asked her, "How have you been since I last saw you?"

Ibara returned the hug. "Me?... Eh...." The oni looked sideways (a sweatdrop moment would be apt here) with a sheepish smile, thinking back of her training with Yuuka and of the incident Yochi had caused not long ago,"Been a little bit of everything...."
"Where are my manners?" Ibara stood,"Let me offer you a drink, I am sure I have something none alcoholic 'round here." The bartender moved around the counter and ducked down as she looked for something Byakuren could enjoy, she figured the two-color haired monk would find a seat infront of her.
"Hai. I got some ... What's it called..? Mh, looks like somethin' called pinapple juice... Care to try?" Ibara said once more as you stood up with the bottle of juice.
Around, many of the drunks where staring long and hard at the demon-woman and the monk. Ibara had made herself a reputation at the bar, and seeing her act like a normal woman was a bit disturbing to them... Of course, a glare from her made them all turn to their drinks again.
"How have you mean, Byakuren? And Selkie?"

As Hanalli flew across Gensokyo, her eyes gazed at a sight she had yet to see. A few blinks later and she decided to slowly drift on down. The decor and signs did intrigue the happy one as it made her think of good times. Almost attracted by the building itself like a moth to a flame, she slowly opened the door. "Hello? I hope i am not intruding on anything." she called out. Hanalli's attire of the infamous orange and yellow monk attire was bright indeed to match her smile. Her eyes gazed around the place. She noticed the two in the back. The bartender she did not know, but she knew the other. "Miss Hijiri!" she cried out like a small child. Almost ready to tackle her with a hug. To Hanalli, Byakuren was like an older sister. Despite Hanalli being much older.

Byakuren smiled at Ibara. She followed Ibara and sat at the bar as Ibara found a non-alcoholic drink for her. "Oh, you really don't need to do this, but I guess since you offered, I shouldn't refuse it." She said, with a chuckle at the end. Ibara stood up from behind the counter holding a bottle of the pineapple juice she had mentioned.
Ibara asked how she had been, and Selkie too. "Oh, I've been quite fine; tending to those who come tot he temple and watching over the numerous bunnies that have come." Byakuren leaned in closer to Ibara, lifted up her hand to whisper and said, "Did you know that they really like the warmth of my body? They always sneak into my bed at night. Selkie said that that's never happened to her before." Byakuren leaned back away from Ibara and gave a laugh as she thought back to the bunnies. She still had a smile on her face, but not as bright as before when she spoke this time. "Selkie misses you, Ibara. She does get by with a smile on her face all day, but she hasn't made that many new friends here in Gensokyo yet." Byakuren said to Ibara.
Before Byakuren could say anything else, she heard a voice yell 'Miss Hijiri!'. Byakuren turned in her seat to see Hanalli, a youkai of joy. "Oh my, hello Hanalli." She said the youkai of joy.

Hanalli walked up to Byakuren. "What a strange way to meet. I was attracted here by the sensation of some kind of joy that emanated from the building. Though it seemed faint. What is this place anyways?" Hanalli asked. Her height was much smaller than Byakuren of course. That grin and attitude was all but a joy filled being was like. Soon, she picked up the scent of alcohol when she got closer to the bar. "Hmm... By chance, do you have a drink made from Honey or Amber? It's been so long since I had anything the humans made that came close to my Joy Buns. Oh! How rude of me." Hanalli's attention went towards the people she never knew yet as she pulled out a Joy Bun for each of them. "I am Hanalli, one of the three Youkai of Emotion. I am of Joy, and these are Joy Buns. Try them! They will taste like your favorite food or whatever you are craving!" her token of greeting new faces and her easy way of spreading joy. Her attention would turn to Byakuren for but a moment to comment. "I still promise to show you my brother one day. However, it seems he avoids your presence more often than naught. I do not know why." it was about Nahumar, the Youkai of Fear.

As Ibara served Byakuren's drink, she nodded. "Those bunnies are soft, I am sure they just like being close to someone's warmth. ... They must make nice pets," Ibara smiled a bit as she passed the drink to the Buddhist monk,"I should visit more often... It'd be nice to see Selkie..." Ibara wondered if the rabbit was scared of her after what happened a while back while Yuuka was trying to train her. The monster had been scary, now she just thought she herself was scary.
The new face earned no more than the usual blank state from Ibara and a nodded to the newcomer. What joy could she have found in this bar? Ibara had the quieter drunks, having but scared away the loud and rambunctious ones. Most of the ones in the bar where like her owner; sulking souls who had no motive to smile if for a little while. There was still the ones who where there for the quiet drink, but for the most part they could do without the reminder of joy.
Ibara, though, complied moving away to get Hanalli her amber drink, she listened to the two talk eyes under the brim of her paperboy cap as she readied the drink and put if in front of Hanalli.
It seemed Byakuren and the other woman knew each other. The bartender moved a bit back, sitting on one of her stools behind the bar to wait for anyone to come and ask for a drink or the like. Listening to the two talk.

Byakuren smiled at Hanalli. "This is a bar, Hanalli. People come here to drink alcohol and converse. I myself came to visit my friend, Ibara, who I had not seen fro a while." Byakuren told Hanalli. Byakuren shook her head, but with a smile still on her face. "Well, he may me me when he wants to, there's no hurry." She told Hanalli.
Byakuren picked up her cup and took a small sip of the juice. "My, this is quite good, Ibara." She told the oni as she took another small sip of her drink. As she took her sip, something moved under her cape and fell to the floor silently. It then darted out the door of the bar and bolted out of the human village. Byakuren looked behind her as she felt her cape adjust slightly, but shrugged it off. "I'm sure Selkie will enjoy you company, Ibara." She told Ibara with a smile as she took a third sip of her drink.

A bar. Hanalli never heard of them before. Still, she loved to know much more about how humans are growing. "This place does have the hint of ale and spirits. To think humans made a place like this solely on an accidental drink." Hanalli chuckled at the thought of the bar being built with more purpose than that. When her drink came, she could not help but take a sip. Then preceded to drink the whole thing in one go! "Still as warm as the sun! Thank you!" she smiled brightly as ever. Is she really immune to alcohol? Hanalli dug through her small pockets for some coins, pulling out a dandelion among them. When she noticed it was among the change for the drink, she swiped the dandelion and placed it in her pocket. As if no one was suppose to see it. "So how is everything going back at your temple, Miss Hijiri?" "Hanalli? Crazy seeing you here." It was Sorina. The tall woman in the blue and dark blue kimono is the Youkai of Sorrow. Her aura was gone due to her suppression rule. The men knew she was a Youkai without a face as she hates humans trying to 'hit' on her. Hanalli jumped forward and hugged her side. "Sorina! You come to this place like Miss Hijiri?" she asked. Sorina looked up at the monk, a bit clueless as to who it was. She did not mind it though. "I-i guess. I pass a few places here and there. It keeps me out of the cave. Plus, Nintai's food is low. I swear your Aura can be seen from the very dark void above." Hanalli then snapped to reality. "That's right! This is Miss Hijiri. She runs a shrine with other Youkai And she is a Human with magical powers!" saying it in a cute manner to make it sound less serious. Sorina bowed slowly to her. "It is nice to meet a human housing some of the beings of the land instead of shunning them. I may have to visit-" "Speaking of Visiting, bring Nahumar here! He has been avoiding her so much! Tell him you will-hic." There it is. The alcohol took effect now. "Hanalli. Don't drink so much. Remember last time? You shifted into your real self and blinded all the humans in the area." from how they sounded, they were not siblings but more of a family. "But it's so good!"

Ibara leaned on the counter,"Glad you like it Byakuren." The bartender gave an appreciative nod, but with the prescence of the two new faces talking with her friend, the hornless oni seemed to cringe away with a stoic and unmoving face.
The bartender took her pay, slipping in behind the counter and hiding her eyes under the brim of her cap, not responding to Hanalli's compliment. Though she was a bot surprised to see the dandelion, she simply dismissed it and took her pay.
The second Youkai appeared, making Ibara further withdraw into herself, and simply lean onto the counter with hidden eyes and her ever characteristic frown. She did listen to them talk. Once Sorina mentioned blinding humans, the deep and unamused voice interrupted their chat.
"Don't do stupid stuff; if you do anything to cause an uproar in here, I will gladly drag you out of my establishment without another thought. I won't beat you, because you are obviously a friend of Byakuren, but It still won't be pleasant. That I can swear upon."
She spoke with moving or anything, still keeping her eyes in the shade of her hat, and her arms crossed and leaned on the bar's counter.

Sorina looked over at the woman who yelled. Some sense of anger was in her. Unlike other Youkai, her power can sometimes backfire. "I-i'm sorry. I was just reminding her." she bowed, showing her sorrow. The small showing of hate made Hanalli look towards the woman. "A human whom is not smiling today? Are you sure you are human?" Hanalli started to get more serious. She hated humans who showed any sign of hate. "You show any more Negative Emotions and you might not smile ever again. Don't be consumed by the very thing that Anera wants you to become..." Hanalli's tone was cold. The mention of the name made Sorina back off and continue with her day. Obviously not wanting to hear it. "Now cheer up. If i buy another cup, will you smile? Hanalli smiled to the bartender. She wanted to change the mood now.

Ibara's glanced sharpened. "Like hell I am not human, as any of the humans here, I am a demon. I smile, when the situation is apt."
The bartender stood, her long raven hair falling past her shoulder with a flick of her wrist. "I have plenty to frown about, don't tell me how to feel. I have not been consumed by myself, why would I let someone else consume me?"
There was a hint of both mockery, and some of annoyance at the comment the hornless oni had taken like an insult. "I don't need the charity of a drink, I have always been successful out of hard work, not smiling like a damn idiot."
Ibara was only somewhat ashamed Byakuren had to see her like this; but that Youkai, that was but a beam of sunshine angered her much.

Hanalli sighed. "I have met demons and oni who at least cracked a smile at me. It's obvious you fell too far from the warmth of the sun and decided to let the cold shadow consume what little joy you have left." She turned to Byakuren. "I'm gonna continue to fly around, Miss Hijiri. I could use the time to find more people to make smile." she hopped off the chair, obviously acting more mature than she walked in before. She just hated it when a person she met does not even show her a bit of kindness or joy. For joy is spread and not made.
