So I finally got around to see this movie, only to leave the theater after watching it and wondering wtf happened to what Anderson had going from the fourth movie....

This movie is by far, the worst movie in the entire movie series, even more so than RE: Afterlife. It actually makes RE: Afterlife look fcking professional in comparison. My review of this movie won't be nearly as detailed as Afterlife, simply due to the fact that there was so much random ridiculous detail that I didn't really pay much attention to it. That and right now I'm reaaaaaaally freaking tired.

Yeah...I was kinda bored. At least Afterlife was entertaining, plenty of funny, and Wesker was pretty bad a**. But this time around?........... talk2hand Please...just stop Anderson....dear god. The movie made me laugh no doubt, but not as satisfying. Left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I'm going to make this review really quick and really simple. I think the best way to describe Retribution is as a complete act of randomly added details and characters without much explanation. It's like Anderson has lost complete touch with what he was previously doing from the other movies. I thought he was going to take it more in a direction that RE 5 game went, but noooooooo boy was I wrong.

Let's see....to skip pointless details, ones I can actually remember from paying mininal attention to the plot....movie starts where the last movie left off....Jill coming in with back up troops from Umbrella to take over the remainder of the ship. Pretty much everyone gets gunned down with an explosion that goes off from Alice firing at a helicopter as it crashes down and causes her to go flying into the water unconscious. They show NO sign of Chris or Claire....absolutely none. It's like they didn't even exist. Alice later finds herself in an underground Umbrella facility, captured by Jill. Jill interrogates her, but gets nothing out of it. Alice is then helped to escape from the facility by Ada who states that she's with Wesker, but neither her nor Wesker work for Umbrella. They....get this...want HER help to "save humanity". Oh yeah and apparently Jill isn't controlled by Wesker....she and the other Umbrella troops are controlled by the last remnants of the Red Queen all the way from the first RE movie. The Red Queen wants to get rid of...something...I don't really remember. Point is, Wesker and Ada need Alice, Queen doesn't want her to escape so they're stuck escaping the facility while Weskers is of course in a compeltely different location and only communicates through telecom.

He's sent in a team of....get this.....random Russian dude, Barry, Leon, and that black guy I can't remember the name of. Yeah....Barry is RANDOMLY there. I don't think Leon has ever even MET Barry, but that's only expected from these movies. Nothing is ever really actually explained. They just throw s**t in with brief mention and off they go with NO STOP ACTION PACKED FUN....ness....????

So the basic 90% of the movie plot is all of them escaping from the facility and Jill.

Randomly bearded Leon and Ada and Wesker were out of character as in Leon became a pervert, Wesker want's to save humanity, and Ada is all sweet and innocent asian girl.....*slams head on desk* Oh yeah they also randomly added the Las Plagas virus without explanation of what it even is or what exactly does it do, even though they explained that the T-Virus took on different physical mutations to explain the various types of Zombies. Contradiction *cough cough*. The zombies themselves seemed more like really quick witted and extremely fast running angry people then actual zombies. In fact they looked even LESS Zombie-ish than before. Like lack of makeup affects or something. I'm not even kidding. It's like they got lazy. And Alice was put in a BDSM outfit while Umbrella and Red Queen is suddenly behind everything instead of Wesker? ffffffffck this s**t got REAL BAD, even more then the last movies. Cue another shitty sequel.

So movie ends with them getting out, Leon putting his hand on Ada's leg while they're sitting next to each other as she pushes it away in disgust, they arrive at another facility where Wesker is as Alice and Wesker talk and he injects her....again....to reinstate her powers because he needs her help "with a common foe" to "save humanity"........... stare

And that's....kinda it. Oh also...Wesker is FATTER in this movie....not in the sense that Shawn Roberts gained weight, but he gained MUSCLE....just like steroid Chris. He looked terrible. Not to mention that Wesker's physical build is a swimmers build. He's naturally smaller in size, weight, and proportions then how they protrayed him in this movie. Shawn looked fine for Wesker in Afterlife, but this time around its like everyone got bigger muscles. It's.....its ******** ridiculous. Don't waste your money. I'm not sure if its even worth renting except out of extreme boredom? This is like the third movie I've seen within the last few months that all of them have disappointed me. Ugh.

On a letter rating from A-F I give this movie a letter grade between D-
