personally, out of all Dragon Ball series, best is the 1984 Dragon Ball (Since in fact was the start of the series and made Z a hit.

reason: more fighting critical brutal life battle for Goku (Kid) against pure evil KING PICCOLO (piccolo jr. father and half self of Kami) and against the entire Red Ribbon army excluding ANDROID 8 since he wasn't made by Gero but human kind android.

Goku learns Martial arts with Roshi was epic!
Obtained Nimbus, mastered KAMEHAMEHA, Married Chi Chi, officially won against Piccolo Jr in the worlds martial arts and proposed to Chi Chi! plus meeting his Grandpa Gohan was the best scene that he cried in Babas tournament, cried a lot and showed to him his 4 star ball (Nova Shenron from GT) that he took care of it for many years. best saga overall!

really if wanna know why Z is Good, the 1984 is the best and learn more of it since its the beginning of the sagas plus they should revive original Dragon Ball (Opinion) so that new generation fans should learn more about dragon ball sagas.
