The bedroom is your starting point. H will be on the bed. The bedroom has a bathroom within it near the bed, which will act as a secondary room.

There's a door with what seems to be a painted red '1' on it, along with a keycard device to the right side. It will not open for you.

And just as you think you're safe, you're gonna notice an even bigger problem. The ventilation shaft on the wall now making a weird sound. As though it's blowing something in the room. Thinking it's fresh air, you move directly to the vent. But alas, a mechanism goes off right beside the vent. It begins to buzz. And the number on it begins to soar higher.

It's not fresh air. That's a carbon monoxide reader.

Realizing (eventually; or not) that the only exit is locked, you have to make a decision, and a decision NOW. Get out. Or you're going to die. As the numbers of the CO meter rises...

        Better get to work.

        The bedroom has:
-A chest with a keyhole on the other side of the bed. It will not open unless you find a key. Might be a good idea to open it.
-A dresser with a combination lock in the corner of the room, beside the door. There doesn't seem to be a combination nearby. Goes up from 0-39.
-Barred down windows on the opposite side of the door-wall, revealing the night sky. You can see you're on the second floor from here. Not getting out that way.
-Lamps on both sides of the bed. They are nice lamps.
-A letter on the table where the lamp is. It's addressed to 'H'. The only address seems to be the lone number '0' on it. It might be for the best to open this later.
-...? Is there something on top of the dresser? Maybe you should pull over a chair or something and check?
-Comfy chairs. Ahhhh...relaxing! Not the brightest idea to be relaxing now.
            -Carpets. They look expensive.
-A chandelier. Maybe you can swing on it like a monkey, and kick the door open? Hopefully, there's someone who will laugh at that...

        The bathroom has:
-A mirror with what looks like two backwards numbers, what looks like a 36, and a 3. Could this be the locker combination for the dresser in the other room? But...don't most combinations have three numbers?
-The toilet. Maybe you can crawl through sewage to get out. Still hoping on a partner, huh? Oh well. Nothing to see here.
-The toilet paper holder. There seems to be something in the hole of the paper roll. Maybe you should check it out?
-A shower. You don't necessarily smell. Sides, even turning faucets isn't doing anything. No water.
            -The ceiling lights. Bright.

A groaning sound escaped the lips of a young auburn haired young man as he rose slowly from his four-poster bead. The whole room seemed to wobble slightly back and forth as the man slowly slipped back into consciousness. It took a few minutes, and a thorough rub of the man's temples for everything to steady, and come back into focus. Now with the world setting at the right orientation, the man began to mutter to himself.

"Lewis, my name is Lewis."

He said aloud to no one in particular.

"I am 26 years old."

He responded to no one in particular

"And...I have a really nice bedroom?"

Lewis had finally had the opportunity to examine his surroundings. It took merely an instant to realize something was wrong. For starters, he was not in his dressing room, or hotel room, or any room he knew of for that manner. Currently his body was sprawled unflatteringly across a four poster bed. Not that he hated the accommodations. The bed itself felt very soft and relaxing against his sore and dazed body. However, Lewis was far to concerned over the sudden change in location to properly enjoy the comforts given to him.

"Have I been kidnapped?" he said aloud, once again to no one, "I've been kidnapped." He said dropping his gaze, "If this is a joke, it's not funny!" he called out, but his only response was silence. As far as he could tell, no one was listening to him. He was alone.

It was around that time that he noticed something very peculiar about the room. On the opposite wall, was a door bearing the number "1" it bright red paint. At least, Lewis hopped it was paint. The young man rolled off the bed, and slowly approached the door. As he ran his hand against the number, he breathed a sigh of relief. It was not blood. That should have been obvious, it didn't smell like blood either."

The a strange noise began sounding in the room. Lewis turned his head to see that the noise was coming from a large ventilation on the wall. He quickly strode over to it to examine it further. It was then he saw a number counter to the side of the shaft. The number was beginning to rise. Then he realized, that was a CO reader.

His first instinct was to sprint back to the "1" door and leave. However the door was firmly shut. He pulled as hard as he couldn't, but the door wouldn't budge. Cursing, he soon began to pound and yell at the door, "OPEN UP GOD DAMMIT!" he shouted, "HEY CAN SOMEONE HEAR ME. HELP, I NEED HELP." Then his pounding and shouting ceased. He saw on his left arm a bracelet. It looked like a really high tech watch. But there was only one number on it, "1". Same as the door. He then noticed a device on the side of the door. In a insane attempt, Lewis tried holding his bracelet by the device

"Open"

Nothing happened. So he pulled a lever on the side of the device

"Open Sesame?"

Still nothing. He tried tapping the top of his bracelet twice

"Reboot!"

He didn't think that would work. He now saw the device was very obviously a card reader. SO he needed cards. Hopefully they were in this room. He glanced back over at the reader, it was climbing higher

"Find a way out!"

His next step was to try the window. He quickly found one near the bed, but it was barred. The man firmly grasped the bars, and pulled in a attempt to rip them from the frame. No such luck. The window was not an option. The dresser maybe. He immediately ran to the dresser, hoping to throw the drawers open. Instead, he found it had a combination lock, with numbers going from 0-39. Like a cat, he every desire was to know what was in this dresser. He yanked the dresser to no avail, and began searching around it for any clues.

As H checks up above, his hand reaches something that feels...odd. Maybe it's something he's held before. What H has found happens to be...

...a gun.

Fully loaded to boot... Whatever the case, this is serious business. Will H take it for possible later use, or leave it for it being too dangerous? It could fend off his kidnappers...but who knows if there is anyone in this hellhole that is friendly...?

Lewis ran his hand across the top of the dresser and bumped something hard, and metal. He clasped his hand around what felt like a handle. He broke out in a cold sweat when he realized what the item was. He pulled the gun from the top of the dresser. He shouldn't be so scared of seeing a gun. It's not like it was his first. But still, the fact he was being given a gun...it was fully loaded.

For now, Lewis stowed the gun in his vest pocket, hidden from sight. He could ponder the gun once he was not about to die. He couldn't open this dresser, so he needed to find the combination. He ran around the room, and noticed a chest on the other side of the bed. Without wasting a beat, Lewis dropped to his knees, and tried to pry open the top. When it wouldn't open, he shook the chest violently, "Open you piece of s**t!" he shouted at the wooden object. It responded with silence and defiance. A sigh escaped his lips and the man gave up.

It was then he saw a small envelope next to the bed. It was addressed to him. Now he felt discomfort on top of the feeling of impending doom. He wouldn't read it now, later, once he escaped.

Things were not looking good. Everything in this room was locked, and the CO counter was rising fast. Lewis pulled at his hair in frustration, grinding his teeth. It was then he noticed another doorway, a bathroom. Now hopeful, the young man dashed into the bathroom, hope for a clue. He immediately saw two large letters posted on the mirror. They were backwards, but Lewis was abel to make out "36 and...3?" His eyes darted back to the dresser in the other room. These could work for the combination but. "I need 3 numbers...." he said dejectidly. Dammit he was so close.

Now desperate, he turned to the shower. He looked at it thoroughly, trying to find anything else. The faucet didn't work, and there was nothing on the curtain. In a rage he yanked the curtain violently from the shower, but he couldn't find that helping in any way. "I need a number...need a number!" he muttered frantically. Was he going to die? His last trick? "Hell no." He wasn't out yet.

Now he tried checking the toilet. Toilet was empty, nothing inside of it. No lucky. Then he noticed the toilet paper. There was something odd about it. Like something...in the hole. He looked closer to try to see.

H can see it faintly, through the lighting, he only needs to squint his eyes to notice...

...a key!

Maybe it goes to something in the other room? Who knows...

Lewis couldn't have been more happy to see what he found. From the toilet paper roll, he pulled out a small metallic object. Now a small key rested in his palm. He felt his heart leap into his throat when he found this. That could only go to one thing.

The CO counter still rising , Lewis rushed out of the bathroom to the large locked chest. WOuld this key worked. He sure hoped so.

Just as Lewis had predicted, the key began to turn in the chest. And before he knew it, it opened revealing...

...nothing.

Well, not nothing. More like...3 green keycards. And a slip of paper. The keycards read off: 1, 3, 5. The slip of paper was a mere painted 6, written in the same style as those numbers on the bathroom mirror...

Like a poor man wrenching open the chest to find gold, Lewis threw open the the lid of the trunk. Inside he saw empty space staring back at him. He was about to cry out in despair, when he saw two small items in the chest. Actually it wasn't two, it was four. There were three small cards, and a piece of paper. "1...3...5." he read off the cards. He glanced back toward the 1 door. It was obvious these cards went to the door. Taking the cards and the paper, he went to the door. One by one, he tried the cards. And each time he pulled the lever, he was greeted with a annoying buzz, and a error prompt.

A loud clunk rang through the door as Lewis punched the door. It was then he glanced down at the folded piece of paper in his hand. He opened it to see the number "6" scribbled on it, "6..." Similar numbers could be seen on the bathroom mirror, "36...3.."

With this new realization, he dashed to the other side of the room to the number locked dresser, frantically trying to use the numbers

The dresser opens! And inside, H finds...

Three more, red keycards, and the Digital Root file! *cue Zelda music*

Use them to your advantage. The keycards read off: 4, 6, and 9.

"It's all in the presentation." he chuckled as he heard the dresser click open. Then he realized now one was there, and sighed dejectedly, "Next time, they'll see." He muttered. Now part of him was wondering if he could make this into his next big show. Of course, Lewis realized he had more important things to worry about, such as living.

The inside of the dresser contained two things, 3 more key cards, and a file. The key cards had numbers, like the green ones, but the file was a little different. He flipped open the file, and examined its contents. Inside was notes about "Digital roots" Lewis read them aloud as hands eyes scanned the text, "The digital root is the sum of a group of numbers...yadda yadda yadda... if left with a two digit number you...blah blah blah..." He then looked down at the key cards he just obtained, then back at the door.

Slowly his mind worked out the possibilities. This file was obviously a hint to get through the door. The other key cards didn't work so that meant, "I have to find the digital root? Of what?" That answer came quickly after he asked the question "1 of course. Get your head in the game Lewis." As he made for the door, something insignificant, but noticeable caught his eye. The chairs, "Comfy chairs..." then he stopped realize what had happened

"They made me say comfy chairs"

Then without warning, Lewis's head began to pound. The room was spinning, and he began to feel dizzy. That wasn't good. With the strength he had left, he rushed to the door, fumbling with the red and green cards in his hand, "1... root of one...I need a ten....1...3...6...GO" The young man inserted the cards one by one and a small buzzer rang of 3 times. Then he threw the lever with all his might, and a pleasant ring filled his ears. The door swung open without any resistance, and Lewis quickly stumbled out slamming the door behind him.

Then, he fell to the ground. The cards the man had all slipped from his hands, and scattered all across the ground. Laughing, Lewis stumbled to the wall opposite the door, and slummed up against the wood. Arms happily grasped the solid frame, and his lungs took a deep inhale of the poison free air. Following a series of slow long breathes, Lewis twisted his body , and rested his back against the white painted wall. Arms reached up into the air, beckoning to a nonexistent audience" TADA!" he shouted instinctively. It was good to be alive.
