The story goes like this:
The stars shine brightly; their radiance is a beacon for any and all to gaze upon. But, the stars brightness lack. Though still there, the stars light is dim. The one to fill the void that caused this plan to unfold is not here to fix these dimly lit stars. But, even though the star lacks luster, if it shoots across the sky, if it falls to the ground, if it flies out of perception, one can still wish on it. Wishes can come true. This wish can come true. It must. Or others will suffer the consequences.
Stars are falling to the ground in Gensokyo at an alarming rate, coming dangerously close to settlements and villages as well as damaging the forests. Stars of all sizes fall at night, but it is hard to find a culprit who does not act during the day, but it is also hard to find a culprit while stars cascade to the ground. But some of the residents of Gensokyo have found the culprit and have come to stop her.
The stars cascade to the ground. Each carrying a bigger failure than the last. Stars fall with sorrow leading them. Stars are the only hope left. Stars are what the one makes beautiful. Stars must be stopped, before it is too late.
