x The Main Den is a large cave, easily able to house twenty or so wolves. It is well protected against the elements, cold and the bright sun. During Winter, much of the pack will often huddle together and sleep or rest in the Main Den.

Night, thought the arctic wolf who sat as sentinel near the yawning mouth of the cave. Few wolves were already inside, curled up with their tail over their nose, sleeping soundly. Others dotted the landscape, running hither and thither. She sat on the edge of the Denning grounds, near the very tip-top of the mountain trails, but not close enough to be on them. Just enough that she could hear, channeling from below in the warm summer air, three voices. They might be going to hunt.
Hunting was something the Rho enjoyed quite a lot. She took pride in helping the Epsilon Delta's track, hunt, and manage their kills. Sometimes she considered changing her position, if Ajax would allow that, and become a Delta instead of Rho. Like always when the doubts nibbled at the fae's mind, memories of little pups nibbling at her hind quarters and the warm glow she felt when training Epsilon's pushed the thoughts away quickly. She was born to be a Rho, despite her younger age.
I'd probably make a good alphaess, but that though was also quickly shoved to the side. Ajax would decide on his mate eventually, and she would be the best fae. The one to make him happy and lead the pack well. Lamia was unsure if she could actually be that fae... Or any fae mate to another brute. Stifling a yawn, the arctic wolf stood and stretched herself out, padding a little distance from the cave mouth.
Right now there were two Epsilons: Talamh and Kavala. Talamh had told her he would be practicing hunting and tracking game. Kavala, well... Lamia's ear twitched in agitation. She had not seen the Epsilon Sigma since early that morning. Kav was so studious, it was completely unlike her to not check in again or at least ask for some mentoring. Perhaps another Sigma guided her today? That would be wonderful if they had.
Still, it did not help her nerves. Tilting her head back, the white wolf called out to Kavala. In the distance, she could pick up the faint sounds of Ajax calling to other pack mates.
