Serenity rested on a boulder beneath a mighty oak. She had one leg curled up beneath her, her other foot dangling just above the ground. Her horse Skysong was not 10 paces away, eating the lush grass.

The elf princess sighed softly as she stared into the water of the pond beside her. Her mind was racing as she watched a small fish swim by. For the past few weeks, her mind continuosly was thinking about her last visit home.

She was in the library, not looking for anything in particular, just something to read. Serenity smiled softly, trailing her fingers along the leather bound books as she walked. Her eye was drawn to a large brown book, covered in dust and looking as though it hadn't been touched in years.

She pulled the book off the shelf and blew the dust off the cover, reading the gold lettering written on it.

"The war with the Forbidden"

Serenity's memories cut off as she heard the sounds of someone drawing nearer. She lifted her head, waiting for the person to come into eye sight.

Serenity smiled warmly and motioned for her friend to sit. "No, not at all...I was just.." She looked at the pond for a moment before saying, "Thinking.."

She turned her head once more towards Sakura and shifted her body, making more room on the rock.

: biggrin own from the sky a shining light flickered and it trailed down to the earth. A blood covered figure hit the ground leaving an impression. A river nearby flowed strongly and the figure groaned and could not move, he lay there waiting, in too much in pain to move. The sky was roiling with lage clouds, rain started to fall from the sky very heavily. Thunder roared in the sky, and lightning flashed, leaving a purple after image in the figure's blue eyes. The figure was a man, heavily wounded, not knowing where or why, but the only things running through his mind are: Redemption, Revenge, Pity, and Guilt. He shivered as his partially clothed body was soaked in minutes. He only remembered one thing, he couldnt save her, and the man would pay. An obsidian five-foot sword swirled down from the sky and landed blade first into the ground next to the man.::

Serenity opened her mouth slowly, as if to answer, but was interupted as Saphira, in her gryphon form, landed in front of them.

Serenity smiled at her words and shook her head. "No not at all." She looked around the trees for a moment before standing up. "Actually...would you guys like to go for a ride...I don't feel much like staying in one spot."

Serenity walked over to Skysong, petting the mare's neck gently, her mind racing once more...through what the book had taught her of her history...her family's past....and of the prophesies.

She lifted her leg, placing her boot into the stirrup before lifting her weight of the ground and swinging her leg over the saddle to sit. She shifted her body momentarily, finding a comfortable position.

She pulled her thoughts away from the book for a moment to look over her shoulder at her companions. She then turned Skysong around to face them, using only her knees to guide the mare. Her eyes were immediatly drawn towards the trees behind her friends, her pointed ears picking up a sound. Staring hard at them and finding nothing, she shook her head slowly and turned her attention back to Saphira and Sakura. "I feel uneasy about this place....Something isn't right..."

::the man in the crater got up and walked to the edge, grabbing his sword and dragging it. His blood still fell, his wounds fresh, his senses and body weary. He looked at the sky and screamed.::

NADIA!!!! WHY COULDN'T I SAVE YOU!!!!

::He suddenly wrapped himself in magic and his body moved without second thought. He appeared above a small clearing with an oak tree and a mounted elven woman. He tried to warn them, but his body was weak and before he knew it, he was falling towards the ground. his sword slipped from his grip, he tried to brace himself, and couldn't move. His sword fell onto the ground first and his body soon followed. His blood sprayed all over the grass, and he could only feel the soft grass on his face. He thought to himself.::

Sometimes... it feels good to be alive. Somedays... I wish I did not live, so I didnt have to suffer anymore.

::all the man could do was cough up blood, he couldn't move. He tried to look at them but his neck wouldn't move. His blood kept flowing onto the ground.::

Tariel had been watching from a tree, she yawned then hopped down from her position, letting her black tail and hair fall behind her.

"I'm volunteering," She chirped up happily. "I can do white magic, so it shouldn't be much of a problem if I try."

She smiled but nearly tripped on her baggy black pants.
