Ever heard of the book Starters? It's a dystopian novel set in the distant future where the Spore Wars has wiped out all of the adults except for teenagers and the elderly (since they were the first ones vaccinated).

Here is a brief synopsis of it:

Quote:
Callie lost her parents when the Spore Wars wiped out everyone between the ages of 20 and 60. She and her little brother, Tyler, go on the run, living as squatters with their friend Michael and fighting off renegades who would kill them for a cookie. Callie's only hope is Prime Destinations, a disturbing place in Beverly Hills run by a mysterious figure known as the Old Man. He hires teens to rent their bodies to Enders—seniors who want to be young again.

It's a great idea. I liked the first half of the novel but it kind of waned on me after this while picking up speed near the end. All-in-all I would recommend it. What I like is that it's an easy read with little details, but as a reader you can quickly pick up on stuff. It is a bit of a problem when certain places are not described where you really want description and some things seem almost thrown together.

I still enjoyed it, though, and wonder if anyone else has read it? I just rented it at the library (put it on hold) so you don't necessarily have to buy it.
