Cecil joined the Archon pack as a loner and an exile, but his menacing stature and fierce loyalty to the pack quickly gained him respect from the other wolves. The reason for his exile is something that only he and the old Alpha know, but his time alone taught Cecil the importance of a pack and why everyone relies on each other. If it weren't for the Archon pack the brute would be dead, and hee would gladly lay his life on the line for any of them because of this. It is a sentiment he has proven time and time again during his time as a Zeta. His large, muscular build is enough to cause even larger predators to take a step back when confronting him, and among the pack he quickly gained rank and honour for his job keeping them safe. He was even aiming for the Beta position after Ajax took over as Alpha, but that was when the seemingly indestructible brute took on a mountain lion and lost.
The large cat had been roaming closer and closer to their territory, making everyone uncomfortable although it was no real threat. After days of watching and waiting, Cecil was getting tired of remaining static. With the Alpha's permission, he gathered a group of Zetas and led them to confront the mountain lion and let it know that it was getting too close. What they hadn't expected was that the lion would be injured and desperate. Even outnumbered, it attacked Cecil, leaping upon the big brute and tearing through the muscle and flesh of his back. The other pack members quickly stepped in and dealt with the already weakened lion before it could kill him, but the black brute would never be the same again.
A year and a half later, the injury is still not fully healed. His back twists and aches with every movement the warrior makes, slowing him down significantly. When he sits there is an obvious curve in his posture, and he will never be able to fight again. For a brute who's guarding ability was what had granted his acceptance, this was a hard blow to take. He hated feeling weak and useless, but calmly accepted his demotion when he became an Upsilon. Like most wolves he has always been fond of pups, and his injury as well as his new duty has instilled a peacefulness in the once ferocious wolf. He spends much of his time in the denning area, where he can keep watch over the pups and any other wolves that might be around. With older wolves he seems calm and pensive, but when it comes to his baby sitting duties the brute is extremely affectionate and even motherly. Although his age and wisdom make him a respected member of the pack – especially among the younger ones who often seek his council – Cecil has always felt cheated out of an elite ranking position. He doesn't even have a family, but what kind of fae would want to mate a disfigured old man?
