Before the outbreak he was a firefighter in the UK living near London with his wife and two children. In the first few weeks he tried his hardest to get his family ready to leave for Greenland or Alaska, where it would be safer, but they refuse to leave home.

His family had all been killed, and his home overrun, without much left he turned to the bottle and lost hope. He was close to committing suicide when a roving group of survivors convinced him to go with them. With that he has been with them ever since, not caring where they go or how they get there, as long as they live.

He roves Europe looking to the skies, after seeing a plane leave the his group has interest in finding a plane and leaving to somewhere safer.
