Welcome to the Rioplatense General Discussion! Here we can discuss topics such as:
-the "vos" form, or el voseo, and how it is conjugated. (I shall provide a chart for ALL to learn.) -differences between the Rioplatense and other dialects of Spanish. -countries where this dialect is used. -and anything else on the amazing Rioplatense dialect!
Facts on the Rioplatense Dialect arrow Spoken in: widely Argentina and Uruguay, but is also found through out Central and South America. arrow Interintelligibility with other dialects: Although the vos form is used, many can understand well.
exclaim Speaking Spanish here is more than welcome, but is not mandatory. However, if you do decide to speak Spanish, be sure to at least TRY to use el voseo, please. If you're having trouble forming a verb, I'll be here. exclaim

As an argentinian person I can say this: we don't use el tu. neutral Well...I never used it... 3nodding

Hello again to everyone! I have more news about this dialect, wich is my dialect *claps, claps, claps*
Yes, Well, it seems to be that the Lunfardo (read posts) is very old. So old that my granfather used it. xd Yes. But I want to explain a particularity of this dialect and is the pronunciation of the "elle" or doble L (ll) For example the word "Llama", the most lovely animal in the world.
In english is arrow "Lama" (I don't know why) In other spanish Dialects is arrow "Llama" And here is something like arrow "Shama"
Other words : Lluvia (rain) arrow Shuvia Playa(beach) arrow Plasha Llave (key) arrow Shave
