So at the salon... We started talking and I ended up saying how I still thought all boys looked like monkeys. So the hair stylist leans over to my mom and whispers 'she like girls' and my mom was like 'yea' and I was like '?'

Well that's good. ^_^
It's always a relief knowing family members won't flip.

You won't know until you tell her, or she finds out.
Though, if she is alright with you being bisexual I would assume she'd be accepting no of you being gay. 3nodding

I never said 'bisexual'... She also kinda figures that out by herself sweatdrop apparently, I managed to set off her gaydar. Also, I'm almost positive that she's bisexual anyways... She just believes that women are bitches and can't be together for long... So irritating sweatdrop

This is why I love hairdressers. They give it plain and simple. Here's a way of finding out, ask her, or tell her what you feel. The worst that can happen is something like what happened to me, I got yelled out enough that I walked out of my house and didn't come back until my Dad found me and, saying that he doesn't care who I love as long as I'm happy, and to please come home. (Which is weird considering my dad is a good ol'Southern boy and my mom was raised more northern and California style.)

The other reaction could be like an old coworker had when he told his mom he is gay. They were at a Chinese foodery, eating egg rolls and fried rices, and he just blurted "Mom, I'm gay..." His mom swallowed her mouthful, took a sip of her water, and calmly said "I know, pass an egg roll." ,y friend didn't realize the big hints, like wanting glitter markers and Barbie things as a kid would make his mom think he was gay, sweet guy he is.

My point is, I think in have one, is no matter what your mom says, YOU are OK with yourself. That's the only thing that matters in the long run is that. Yes, things said in anger, without thought of the impact, can still rehash old wounds. But there is a keyword there, OLD wounds. The future is what you should always strive for, so just ask yourself that if you hast eh choice to tell her now, or older when heart conditions could make things dangerous? razz

I have to keep reminding her that I don't like boys... It's no use. I find it amazing when people accept others. There weren't really any hints in my case... So I guess I can see how it could be overlooked. Especially because I live in Oklahoma. People kinda assume I'm straight because I'm girly?? No idea. Another thing is that those OLD winds still feel preftty fresh
