Humans are bipedal oxygen-breathing social primates from Earth who have a multitude of rich and varied cultures that constantly clash with each other, not to mention serious class divides that persist in the shipcity. They have very advanced technology and can deal with most diseases that would otherwise kill them. All humans are different and it is impossible to predict how one would react to things. This variablity is a source of frustration to many of the species of Charon, but it also makes humans jacks of all trades. Humans are everywhere on Charon, doing just about any job that they are able to do. (Naming Convention: None. Think of human names. Then remember that some people name their kids the strangest things)

Biology Humans are diurnal Oxygen-breathing omnivores with dextrous five-fingered hands. They usually require a male and a female human in order to reproduce, however technology has been developed that allows them to reproduce in any way they choose. They are evolved for distance running, though many tend to focus on their minds or on the pursuit of other goals. Others are just plain lazy.
While there is evidence that humans may have been able to use magic in the past, the skill appears to have been lost. Only an extremely mild ‘sixth sense’ remains, which can sense variations in energy (“this place feels creepy” “This place feels soothing” “Something is about to come out of that door”).
Otherwise, without cybernetics, humans are pretty basic. But don't let that fool you. They are clever and unpredictable with a wide array of talents. There is, after all, a reason why you can't shake a stick on Charon without hitting a human- they are everywhere because they are jacks of all trades.
Humans bleed a liquid darkish red.
Color Specs The defining traits of humanity are the variety in them. Skin color ranges from pasty white to light yellows to dark blacks and browns to ruddy reds, and all tones and midtones and races and ethnicities are represented on Charon. Hair can be dyed and styled, eye color has gotten wierd due to genetic engineering, and some people have tattoos... and so on.
If you want guidelines, humans on charon are primarily descended from people from India, Israel, China, Japan, America, Mexico, Russia, and the UK- the countries that could handle a massive space venture. Most people on Charon are 'mixed race', but some of the wealthier families might keep a close handle on their ethnicity.

History Society/Beliefs: Humans do not have just one society or belief system. When Charon was launched, it had an extremely skewed cross section of humanity on it. The predominant religions are various forms of Buddhism, various flavors of “people of the book” mythologies, and a surprising number of aboriginal cultures. There are also Atheists, a few Wicca... basically, a little of everything all mixed together.
However, this incredible variation means that they have to somehow cooperate, and they have experience both in fighting each other and in cooperating. The humans have a parliamentary government and a ‘president’ who is elected by the people and sits on the council with representatives of other species. He is advised by the parliament, and the council in turn elects a captain, usually from their number but more often from the ranks of someone who is extremely qualified.
The Captain is the person in charge of the ship itself, the council governs. This system of governing, which has been stable in Charon, is a result of human ingenuity. Because of this, the captain has traditionally been human. Then again, there have only been 3 captains to date... so perhaps in the future a nonhuman captain will be elected.

On Charon On Charon, humans are very prolific. They are found in just about any non-magical role that can be filled by an oxygen breather. Their versatility is only matched by their potential for intolerance of others. They are also well known for being one of the three species, next to the lurians and heraculeans, who are regularly sexually attracted to people outside their species.
Attitudes: Humans are varied in their attitudes towards everything. They are highly polarizable and have a tendancy to pick an opinion, stick with it doggedly, and find other people who share their opinions.
