Requirements of Interviews, Reviews, and Videos

Interview: (noun) a meeting or conversation in which a writer or reporter asks questions of one or more persons from whom material is sought for a newspaper story, television broadcast, etc.

Interviews will be in manuscript forum, or in paragraph forum.

Manuscript Form:
Jessie: How long have you been doing lineart?
Brittlebear: I've been doing it since 2005.

Paragraph Form: (where the answer can be in paragraph form or the whole thing can be paragraph form)
Question How long have you been doing lineart?

Answer: I have been doing lineart since the breedables forum had been created. Wow, I'm trying to remember. I think that was back in 2005. So that would be eight years now.

or

I asked Brittlebear how long she had been doing lineart for the breedable/changeables forum on gaia. She was very courteous and gave a few laughs. It turns out she has been doing lineart since the forum was first created, back when Breedable Changeable pets was just a thread. She was surprised that it had been eight years since then and was actually pretty happy with the progress in her lineart skills.

Possible questions to use in an interview will be things such as:

How long has the shop been around?
What inspired you to create this shop?
    Who created the lineart?
How did you obtain the lineart?
Who made the cert for the shop?
Did you start off with an interest thread?
    Are you currently hiring?
    etc.

Questions can change depending on who you are interviewing, whether its a general lineartist or a shop owner.

Question Etiquette: As what you feel comfortable and what you think people would be interested in knowing. Try not to be too forward or condescending with your questions, like, "I hear you guys cause a lot of drama, who is doing all that?" That's not polite and the interviewer will likely be offended. So try and find neutral questions and maybe lead up to more broad-based questions like, "What have been some of your most enjoyable times with the shop?" Which can mean just about anything and hopefully lead to a good story.

An interview can be written down but can also be in video form. If in video form be sure to short hand write down what they are saying to make it more clean and concise.

Interviews threads will be tagged with [Interview] before them. If they are video interviews the Unable to identify Vimeo video URL. tagged will be pinned in with it. If you decide to do a video interview then read below in the post entitled Videos for more information.

Review: (noun) a critical article or report, as in a periodical, on a book, play, recital, or the like; critique; evaluation.

Reviews in this subforum can be for b/c shops, lineart shops, basically anyone or shop that is b/c related. You can rate your experience from great to not so great. The first post can be the initial reviewer's opinion of the shop/person/thing in question, but the thread is then left over so that other's may share there experience. What may be bad to one person may just be great to another, people are different, and so will there reviews be.

Potential Areas to be reviewed on will be things like:

    The quality of the staff
    Service of the shop
The community that is part of the shop
The organization and appeal of the front page(pages) of the shop
The artwork/coloring of the artwork in the shop
    The accessibility of the shop
    Your personal experiences

We encourage people to ask for reviews and post their reviews so that we may see several perspectives of this shop. However, this is not an area for drama, so if something was wrong please elaborate and maybe offer a possible solution that could be made. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion, however if they consist of of "This shop sucks" or "This shop is the bezteverzzzz", you are more likely to get kicked out of the guild.

If posting a review, please use the tag [Review] before the name of the shop that is being reviewed, to avoid any confusion from forum browsers.
