Here is a breakdown of the GAVA rules and regulations. I refer to them as policies because people seem less tempted to break policies than they do rules sweatdrop

exclaim GAVA Gaia TOS Policy exclaim

The simplest and most DUH of all the rules. Follow the Gaia TOS (Terms of Service). A link to which is located at the bottom of the page, titled Terms of Service. If you do anything to break the TOS, I or other Crew here will warn you and repeat offenses will result in being banned from GAVA.

exclaim GAVA Recruiting Policy exclaim

Follow the general procedures for joining a restricted guild. The following will be required for various interested members:

Your name
* A possition you would like (Check to make sure your -fictional- position isn't already taken)

* The positions don't come with anything, no special abilities or whatnot. They're only for kicks. You could be Senior Spoon Advisor for all I care!

An example would be as follows:
Lilium
Stealer of Souls

Send the request to us.

For voiceactors, please include a link to your resume or a sample if you have any available ^_^

exclaim GAVA New Topic Policy exclaim
(added 8-19-04, revised 03-07-07)

GAVA does allow the creation of new topics, however, strict rules are enforced in their creation.

Your post MUST be GAVA/Voice Acting related, and MAY NOT be posted if the topic should go into one of the already-existing threads. You may post a DISCUSSION thread about one of your productions, but your general Production information should go into the Current Productions thread, and if you are promoting a COMPLETED project, please put its information in the Completed Productions thread.

Discussions for a Production-related topic is best kept to the mixing, critiques, and the like, as you will not get critiques on-board if you do not post a seperate Production thread (a secondary forum may be purchased in the future for this, if it becomes neccessary).

Please see "Topic Placement" thread for more details.

Once a topic has been posted, it WILL be reviewed by Lilium or McKenzie. The flow will go as such:

Topic Posted >

Topic is Open for Discussion >

Lilium or McKenzie take notice of new topc and review >

If questionable material is flagged, the post is locked until it can be discussed between Lilium and McKenzie; however, if the post is deemed fit, the first post will be EDITED by McKenzie or Lilium, who will insert a signature at the bottom that states "Approved by Lilium or McKenzie", so we know we already reviewed the topic. >

If a post is deemed against the TOS or GAVA Policy, or both, it is deleted without warning, and a Reminder or Warning is sent to the creator (see "How To Get Yourself Banned" topic for more information)>

If the topic belongs in an existing thread, all existing posts are quoted in a single post by Lilium or McKenzie (whoever gets to it first), and the Topic is Deleted, and a Reminder is sent to the creator

exclaim GAVA Language and Content Policy exclaim
(last updated 8-19-04)

If you're old enough to be into VAing, you're probably old enough to hear mature language. But I would like to keep this board fairly clean.

There is to be NO sexual content here whatsoever, and all links out of Gaia or to other Gaia threads should have proper warnings if they are inappropriate. If there is mature content, by all means say so. If you do link to something without proper warnings, you will be warned. A second offence will lead to temporary ban. Third offence will lead to a permanent ban from GAVA. Due to the fact that hentai cannot be legally voiced or watched by individuals under the age of 18, no hentai, NC-17, or X related material may be posted, discussed or created.

Do not discuss illegal activities on this board, whether it be stealing copyrighted mp3s or programs or whatever. Keep that somewhere else, I love my guild and don't want to be losing it! (Some exceptions may be made ninja Mainly in reference to Japanese music and karaoke files..) If you aren't sure if a subject is allowed, PM me (Lilium) and we can discuss it off-board before you post.

exclaim GAVA Fighting/Argument Policy exclaim
(added 9-23-03)

First off, GAVA is NOT a roleplaying guild. RP here stands for Radio Play.

Also, if you have a problem with someone, don't start an argument here. If you have issues with someone, take it to PMs, not to us. We're not interested in seeing you acting like a five-year-old.

exclaim GAVA SPAM policy exclaim
(last updated 8-19-04)

Please try to keep SPAM to the Chatterbox forum. Keep posts GAVA-related (unless the topic is otherwise noted). Chatter is alright, but no inane banter please sweatdrop If you would like to Chat, keep it in the designated chat thread.

exclaim GAVA Multi-Guild Policy exclaim
(last updated 8-19-04)

What multi-guild policy? Join whomever you wish, you can be a member of whatever guilds you want. Who am I to stop you? We're no posh snobby tea-drinkers XD The only requirement is that you agree to abide by the rules and pay the fee. If you don't like the rules then don't join: requesting to join is taken as agreement to our terms.

exclaim GAVA Badge Policy exclaim

This will be revised when appropriate.

No information.

exclaim GAVA Inactive Members Policy exclaim
(added 11-29-03, revised 3-1-04, 8-18-04, 03-06-2007)

Due to the new feature of paying to join, if you join GAVA you will become a permanent member. However, if you remain inactive for six months, you will be sent a notice requesting your return to GAVA. If you either decline to return or never show up within a month from that alert, you willbe banned. If you wish to be unbanned PM Lilium.

Returning from inactivity puts you on a probational period. If you show a pattern of erratic postings and show no promise of returning as an active member of the guild, you may be removed. To be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Currently no fee is charged, so we are going to be a**l about banning lurkers.

exclaim GAVA Ban Policy exclaim
(added 8-18-04, revised 03-06-2007)

Reasons you would be banned:

- Continual breaking of any of the rules/policies.
- Breaking Gaia TOS
- Extended inactivity
- Evidence is provided that you have been stealing someone else's work for credit (art, radio plays, etc)
- Trolling

Reasons you could be reinstated:

- Temporary ban (for first/second offenses, where applicable) lifted
- You return from extended inactivity
