Sara Winchester was afraid of the ghosts, right? I've been to the mansion. There were doors that lead to walls, also.

I forgot to add that the number 13 is everywhere in the mansion

As far as I know she was afraid of the ghosts of the people killed by her husbands brand of rifles (Winchester Rifles XD). Something a Psychic said to her or something, I believe. The house was constantly under construction until her death...and she slept in a different room every night.

I've heard a lot about this place...there was a program about it when I was in Mexico some years back.
There are trap doors that lead to rooms with no electricity and if you step in you'll fall into a whole leading to who lnows where...
There's another on the top floor that leads out the building...a few have died...opening the door and steping outside that high up and just fall...

Yeah. The house was under construction until Sarah passed away. But it wasn't only because of her husbands death that she started building it apparently her children also died and the fortune teller or Psychic told her her children died because of spiteful ghosts and that only construction of the house would make them happy. It added to the spirits though since I think a few of the construction workers died. But I want to visit the house. I think it would be awesome. I would live there but it is a bit to spacey for me. I just like the doors the lead nowhere and windows that open into walls.

The number 13 signifies luck. In Sarah Winchester's case, luck would be the way to go.
The mansion was built to confuse ghosts. With a little luck, they wouldn't find her.

Yeah, the false doors/staircases/ect. is a pretty common phenom for someone with a serious ghost problem. The thing with the psychic said that she had to always have a new room under construction to keep the ghosts of those who were killed with the guns satisfied.
