Alright. I have started my first Fanfiction since entering this guild. Now, I have some rules with my fanfictions. If you choose to not listen to any rules, then you cannot read them. Plain and simple... Okay, the rules;

1. If you want to comment/ask a question/insult me or the piece, PM me or comment my profile. DO NOT POST ANYTHING UNDER THIS!! I am posting them by chapters (with the exception of Ch. 1, which also has the prologue)

2. Don't give me recommendations... it's my fanfic, get your own.

3. If you tip me, I tend to tip back for your fanfic.

4. This fanfic is under COPYRIGHT to me... so you cannot copy it at all. If you want the proof, I'll gladly show you the copyright papers and acquired ownership over my writing. All other basics, such as the names and original artistry (including images and music) are copyright of Nintendo. Know your s**t...

5. This is not always intended to be funny/sad/epic/romantic... whatever you see it as. So don't be so pissy if it's not... Cappishe?

6. In the event I miss a chapter posting date, you MAY rant at me until I post it. Check the bottom of this post for all the information.

ALRIGHT! FINAL STUFF!!

A small legend for my legend... /facepalm

Names

Styx- The Happy Mask Salesman. His name is a hint... don't ruin my fanfic for me.

Jaxer- Fierce Deity Mask when unleashed... A Russian name for "opened mind"

Gypsy- That ugly hag that hangs around the poes in Majora's Mask. (For the refresher kind of people, go look around Ikana Canyon... in the village part... you'll find her)

Arojam- Majora's evil counterpart... Conveniently plays with the story in several ways, also noting it's Majora spelled backwards.

Posting dates

Chapter 1+ Prologue- Latest by 11/6/12.
Chapter 2- Latest by 11/10/12

I WILL ALWAYS POST THE CHAPTERS BELOW THIS POST!! ALWAYS!!

I will post artwork eventually...

Prologue

Where... who am I? The dense fog... it's disappating. I can see clearer now... I see... the Oni? I see him. That wretch who sealed me into this nightmare... I see his blood-stained soul. What's going on? My eyes... My vision has grown hazy again. I can feel myself moving, being carted by someone or something. I'm not sure where I am going... but please, whoever can hear my dead plea; save my devestated soul.

Ch. 1

The night is cold and silent. The Happy Mask Salesman is lain in his bed, comforted in his soft pillow. He suddenly squints, sweat beads slowly trickling down his forehead. Tossing and turning, it's obvious something is wrong with him. His turns become more violent; his body moving more and more. Lurching from his bed suddenly, he breathes a sigh of relief."I need to see the Gypsy tomorrow. These nightmares are becoming worse."
The Salesman slowly crawls back into bed, drifting to sleep just before the crack of dawn. He sleeps through the day, awaking as the sun sets upon Hyrule. Climbing off his bergundy bed, the Salesman gathers his pack and sets out for the Gypsy. Approaching the gate, he is halted. "Where are you going so late at night?" the guard asks him. The Salesman clasps his hands together, hunching forward and smiling "My good sir, I am embarking on a business trip. Please allow me passage."
The guard looks over him, not noticing any suspicious items. "Why leave so late at night?" he asks, slowly lowering his spear. "Surely morning is a better time."

"I have been having trouble sleeping." the Salesman lies. "I decided to leave as soon as I awoke. Here I stand now; my business halted. As I requested, please allow my passage." The guard peers directly at the salesman, squinting through his silver visor. He slowly takes a couple of steps back, and lowers the bridge for the salesman. "Be careful, the nights are dangerous around these parts." the guard warns. The salesman ignores him, continuing over the bridge.
His journey long, the Salesman slowly makes his way to the desolate and dry Dessert Collosis. Hurrying past the Gerudo Guards, he sneakily passes their fortress. "Almost to the desert... I can make it. Don't give up!" the thinks to himself, hefting his pack further up his back. Sheer power driving him, he eventually makes it to the center of the desert. A stone structure sticks out, a ruined shack made shortly after Hyrule Castle. The Salesman knocks on the door.
The door creaks open, and the Salesman enters the shack. Slamming shut behind him, he turns toward the sealed entrance. He turns back around to see the Gypsy just inches from his face. "AHHH!" he screams, jumping backwards. "Hello Styx..." the Gypsy greets him. Becoming slightly angered, he just as quickly jumps back. "Don't ever call me that!" he bellows from deep inside him. The Gypsy, temporarily confused, leans back. "Ah, still ashamed of your name are you?" a light chuckle escaping her awkward lips. "You know I am!" he yells, his face starting to turn red.

Not realizing the issue is not present, they continue a bickering conversation for nearly an hour. "Why are you here?" the Gypsy asks. "RIGHT! I forgot. I need your advice." He states boldly. "MY dreams... they are getting more and more violent. I fear that they are connected to this cursed mask." He explains quickly, retrieving a rather dark looking mask. The Salesman hands the mask to the Gypsy. She immediately drops it, her hands slightly cinged. Hissing loudly at it, she bolts to a corner of the room. "That mask is evil! It's power is too much for an elderly being like me!"
Realizing the evil did not completely leave the mask, Styx picks it back up and stores it in his pack. "What do you think we should do?" he asks. "Have the hero destroy the mask." she quickly yelps, flinging the door open and forcing him out. He thinks for a minute on it, then agrees.
He makes his way to a stand he set up in Hyrule Field. He sets up his pack, taking out the extras and setting them inside the stand. Styx lays down on his bed, drifting to sleep quickly.

"Hello?" a soft voice breaks through the Salesman's dreams. Slowly stirring, he rises and moves forward to the front of the stand. "Yes?" he asks, cracking his eyes slightly. "I feel that I am needed here. Something wrong Mr. Salesman?" the young man asks, looking up at him. Styx opens his eyes more, to see that the young man is the very hero Link. "YES! I do need you! Please, the Gypsy told me that you must aid me." he quickly states. Puzzled, Link follows the Salesman as he quickly leaves the stand.
"The mask..." Styx says, holding it out in front of Link. "What about it? I already destroyed Majora, it's power is gone." he boldly claims. "If that's true..." the Salesman responds "Then touch the mask..." Link, smiling and being cocky, grabs the mask. Suddenly he drops to the ground, screaming in pain. Link manages to drop the mask, quickly stammering backwards. "What? How can that...? How did it...?" he tries to stutter as he makes his way to his feet. "I am not entirely sure. I think the mask managed to hold some dark power after the final battle, and it multiplied over the passing two years." Styx explains.
Link draws his sword, almost certain of his task. "I'm to destroy it, aren't I?" he asks, aiming the Guilded Sword at the evil entity. The Salesman knods, and lays it on the ground. Taking a few steps back, the salesman hunkers close to the ground. "Do it... please..." he requests, his voice cracking. Fearing the mask may get too powerful, Link grudgingly stabs the mask in the center with all his might. Twisting it to the left, he pulls the sword free.

At an instant, the ground begins to shake violently. The mask grows dark, absorbing all nearby light. It changes color, turning a bright red as it suddenly grows very bright. Blinding Link and the Salesman, both fall to the ground. Link tries running in what he believes in the opposite direction. The Salesman lays facedown on the ground. The heat of the area is climbing fast, incinerating the nearby grass in a few seconds. The darkness and the brightness mix together, as if the are clashing. Suddenly, the light and darkness funnel into two humanoid looking entities.
There stands two enigmas and the broken mask. The mask is divided in two, one side recolored in darker colors and the other having nothing on it's side. The two entities are face to face, locked in what seems to be a fight to the death. The darker being gazes slightly at Link. Link, scared at what he sees, slowly stands back up and approaches the two. "Who... WHO ARE YOU?" he yells out. The darker being falls back, grabbing his half of the mask and disappearing in the wind.
The lighter being stands along, sheething his white-bladed weapon. He turns to Link, smiling slightly. "Thank you!" He yells out, a cheerful smile spreading accross his face. Link, having no fear, drops his sword and runs for the being. He halts just a few feet from him, puzzled at the entity. "Wondering who I am, Link?" the entity asks, crossing his arms but still smiling. Link knods silently. "Why, I'm the very being known as Majora!" he loudly boasts!
