I've been stuck the last couple of days. I sent my MC and her friend shopping for cat supplies (she recently acquired a talking cat from her father, who may or may not be a fallen angel). Do not know what to do next.
However, I realized in the last couple minutes that there would be some comedy potential in having her father come to visit and sightsee, as opposed to the first visit where he basically showed up and demanded she come with him.
Considering he is a borderline evil overlord (he refers to her friends as "minions") this could be fun.
Anyone else stuck, or found neat ways to get unstuck? I'm sure some of us could benefit from your suggestions. wink

I've been stuck for a good portion of the past ten days xp I know where I'm going with the writing in both active projects. It's just that one project I'm having a hard time getting back into and the other project is in a transition period. The latter is doing groundwork between exciting scenes; I need the two MCs to have a tight bond of friendship before I drop the next big surprise on them. Meanwhile, the former is a character drama of man vs self that I really need to immerse myself in to keep it going.
But I'm also stuck because of mild headaches that while not really painful are really distracting. It slows my thought process so much.

MY rusty h a l o When in doubt: Travelling shovel of death. haha, that would be nice! If only I hadn't established one of my stories as absolutely nonviolent... I did get a big scene out of a random trip to the movies for my MCs.

Guys, I did manage to get unstuck, though it required something drastic (an attempt on the fallen angel's life that gets his daughter, my MC, injured).
I am now at over 25K for the month, which is WAY more than I'd done in the previous ten months combined.
I may not be a winner by NaNo standards, but I am sure glad I went for it this year! whee
