A little personal history: A stable boy from the start, Daniel wanted nothing more than to tend to the horses, until Regina decided to tame even the wildest of horses the stable tended to. It was love at first sight and Regina wanted nothing more than to be free from the grasp of her mother and to be with Daniel. It was Regina's mother, though, who had other plans. Engaged to the King, Daniel and Regina were at the ready to run away together in the middle of the night, but her mother found out of the secret rendezvous and tore out Daniel's heart.
For years, Regina kept Daniel's body preserved by magic and had it brought over to Storybrooke during the curse. It was Dr. Whale--Dr. Frankenstein to be precise--who brought back Daniel to life...but not the way anyone wanted him to be.
After the tragedy of Regina releasing Daniel for the final time, there was something in the air of Storybrooke that made him return. The air of true love? The air of magic? No one could understand. One thing is for sure, though, only two folks in the whole of Storybrooke knows of his story. Neither one of them are Regina.
Roleplay Sample
There was a rush in his packing, though there was not much to take with him as most of it will be done by Regina. Daniel only needed enough to tend to the horses should the two stallions have thrown shoes during their impromptu travel and some barley and hay if there were no immediate grass to graze. Looking around at the small shack he called home one last time; both in final mental list of items and out of nostalgia, a smile curled upon his lips. It was soon to be no longer home as now the road will take its claim in the name. For now, he did not care. It was the companion he would soon be with he was more concerned and cared for. It will be wherever Regina wanted to go, he would follow and create a new home right beside her.
