I'm really exited about this! I admit I haven't seen too many episodes of star treck, but I've seen all the movies. The one with the whale was really cool smile
on a side note, if I'm going to watch the episodes in order, where should I start? I tried to start from the very beginning but I like the newer ones better....

As for series I would then go with either Next Generation of Star Trek Enterprise and work back into the Original Series.

Personally, I like Voyager, Enterprise, and Next Generation myself. biggrin

I've watched all the tv series, multiple times, except for Enterprise - saw one episode and choked, but am told I should give it another 'go.' But the Roddenberry's had nothing to do with that one. Of the movies, I saw 2+, it's fuzzy - where Spock lost his memory, which was that? - saw the whales twice and loved it. Hmm-thought I saw Khan's Revenge, but I don't remember it. Should look for it. I still say the Pacific Gyre (that rotating plastic mess, continent-sized, in the Pacific Ocean) is good for nothing but a landing pad. (Thinking of the whale movie? Of course!)

Oh - I never asked - hadn't seen anything on a new movie, anyone have details? As in who will be in it, plot, projected time it will be ready? And my hands-down favorite of the series is DS9, but I wouldn't start with it. TNG is a good place, as there is a huge shift between the original series and that point. Also, a number of characters show up in the later series, DS9 and Voyager at least. Two characters carried over from the original series - Miles had a bit part in the original, became a supporting character in the later ones. Roddenberry's wife was in every one, except probably Enterprise, not sure about that one. The nurse in the original, Deanna Troi's mother in TNG and later, voice of the computer - seems like there may have been another role as well, maybe not. I loved Mr. Hom. He was so wierd - and then popped out after ages with that goofy smile and being able to talk after all! In case anyone missed it - Klingon Style
