Lament Location: Lounge Mood: Calm Thoughts: When are these tests going to end... Lament had found his way from his office to the lounge. He quite enjoyed this place and all of the amenities that it offered. The chairs were very comfortable, the entertainment provided was top notch and the refreshments on hand were fantastic. His favorite chair was situated in one of the far corners of the room, hidden from sight by a lot of the rest of the room.
Finding his way there, he sat and pulled out a thick tome. Encrusted across the cover in gold leaf read 'Creating A World From Nothing.' Clearly he was reading up on his favorite use of magic, illusion. He was very adapt at it to begin with, but learning never stops. He thumbed through the book to the place where his silk bookmark sat and began reading again.

Things weren't dirty, yet she was cleaning. Corena hummed a soft song as she moved through the lounge with a duster. Day in and day out in her home world she cleaned and was busy. Now she had no end of free time and it was unsettling. The girl moved through the room straightening things here and there. A member of the staff sat reading and Corena worked very hard to keep from bothering him.
She was doing quite well, working silently save for her humming, until a little mouse came running up to her. It gave her a start and she yelped softly. The girl put a hand to her chest and bent down to pick up the animal. It spoke with her softly before she set it outside the window. When was she going to get used to that?

Lament Location: Lounge Mood: Calm Thoughts: Fascinating... Thumbing through the book became monotonous shortly after Lament had began, but his drive to know more worked him through that. This was the same stuff he'd read over and over again, but the applications were entirely different. People had managed to find a way to make illusionary magic work for much much more than just fooling people into thinking things. Some had even managed to find a way to make something physical come from it.
Smiling slightly at the thought of doing so in certain particular situations, Lament flipped yet another page. His foot had begun tapping the ground in time with the girls humming. Had he been so deep in thought that he hadn't even noticed another person in the room? Apparently so. Being a member of the staff, it was probably a good idea to not ignore this person, whether she be a student or a co-worker. Lament pulled the silk bookmark to the page he was on and set the book under his hand on the arm of the chair.
He raised his eyes to the girl and smiled politely. "Good day miss." Just then he noticed she was cleaning and thought to himself Do we employ a cleaning staff? Mentally shrugging off the thought was the best option and that's what was done.

The autumn nymph turned and bowed to the man who spoke. He was the only one in the lounge and definitely a member of the staff. A sage. Being nervous was a terrible thing for poor Corena. She went from being perfect in her work to a clumsy mess.
"G-g-good day, Sir. I did not mean to disturb your reading." Her brown eyes stuck to the floor as a blush rose on her cheeks. Being noticed was something she wasn't used to. Being spoken to by someone of a higher caste was... well... startling to say the least. Though he was not human, he was several social groups above her in her mind.

Lament Location: Lounge Mood: Happy Thoughts: Sometimes I'm surprised by the respect here... Lament laughed a bit as the girl dropped her things. It was curious how other species acted in the presence of someone they see as higher than them. Even with that, sometimes it did get to be a bit annoying after a while. He made sure the book he was reading was stable before leaning towards her. "Why is it that you're cleaning? Also, there's no reason for you to fear me...outside of the classroom."
He grinned at her trying to get the joke across. This wasn't exactly a gift of his, the joking that is. With that said, he leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees and touched his finger tips together. This was a strange position for him but he'd become accustomed to poses like this, particularly with his new position.

"If it bothers you, I can go adjust things in my room."

ΩLamentΩ Location: Lounge Mood: Happy Thoughts:Never ceases to amaze me... Lament's mind nearly stopped at how polite this girl was. By natural instinct, he became overly polite. He stood slowly before the girl and clasped his hands behind his back, smiling all the while. "My dear girl, there is no reason to be so formal. Just because I'm your teacher doesn't mean you can't be casual. After all, there is much more to this place than just learning, we live together...as it were."
He reached a hand out towards her, palm out, in an offered handshake. His other hand remained behind his back. The place around them was immaculate which was what caught Lament's attention to her cleaning in the first place. What people will do to find comfort these days...†OOC≈{I didn't notice your post until just now.}†

ΩLamentΩ Location: Lounge Mood: Content Thoughts: Alone time. Lament entered the lounge with the book he'd acquired from the library and promptly moved to his normal seat. A comfortable black leather arm chair placed at the perfect spot in the room to have no one behind him yet allowed for perfect view of the entire room. He cracked the book open, noting the smell and texture of the paper held within. A musty smell met his nostrils and he breathed it in deeply. Reading the book would take him away from the world, which would be quite nice at the moment.†OOC≈{}†

ΩLamentΩ Location: Lounge Mood: Groggy Thoughts: Falling asleep reading... The book that Lament was reading fell from his hands, slamming onto the floor flat on the back cover. The loud BANG startled him to consciousness. A long yawn exited Laments mouth as he came to being awake. The lights in the lounge hurt his eyes initially before his pupil was able to contract enough to keep it out. Glancing around the room it became clear that not a soul had been in the lounge since he was last conscious.
A sudden realization that he didn't know what time it was struck Lament like a ton of bricks. How long did I sleep?! He panicked a little before closing his eyes and reaching out to one of his many illusions positioned outside. Oh thank god, only a few hours. Smiling softly, he leaned down and picked up the book he had been reading. Guess this one just won't do then.†OOC≈{}†

November 18thxx(_Master_)xxOne Hundred and Twenty-Five
Early in the evening, the demoness was rubbing at her eye since she was beginning to grow tired after today's activities. She was able to make up for lost time since her 'ME' time, practicing with her third element which was energy. Darkness and fire were a breeze for Anemone but, energy was much tricker than the two combined. Sighing as she came into the lounge, she took notice of the person inside. His book falling to the floor with a thud brought an inward smile. That was one of the sages; Professor Landon Vincent other better known as Professor Lament. Perhaps she should say a quick little hello since the sage looks as if he would be retiring to bed soon.
"Professor, why have you not retired? You obviously need rest if you are starting to doze. Even losing the grip of your book indicates your need of rest." No matter how adorable he did look nodding like this. Anemone was snickering a little to herself at the mere thought. Course she does the same thing whenever she's deep in reading but, knows she must retire soon to sleep. DarknessxxxFirexxxEnergy Where: Lounge Who: Lament What: Torch Ring; Aurora Staff OOC:

ΩLamentΩ Location: Lounge Mood: Tired Thoughts: I don't wanna... Once Lament was fully awake from his little nap, he looked up to find Anemone in the lounge. It's about time someone comes here. He smiled up at the Master and contemplated her question for a bit. With a lopsided smirk on his face he replied, "No self respecting demon admits their tired." Knowing a bit of her past, he meant this as a joke but had no idea if it would be taken that way. Pushing himself up from the seat took more effort than he thought it would. This girl was definitely strange to him, but in a very good way. He found her intriguing to a very high extent and had since the day she arrived at the Academy. "That does beg the question though, why are you still up, Miss Anemone?"†OOC≈{}†

"I suppose you have a point, professor. Though I did only merely suggest retiring." Anemone retorted, brushing loose strands behind her ear. Royal blue orbs obeserving the male before her as she retucked her book under her left arm. Raising her head a bit with a sinister smirk while twirling her bangs with her finger. "Playing catch up after taking an entire day to myself. After all, I still have to practice regardless of being a Master. Energy is taking longer to master than darkness and fire." Anemone had walked over towards one of the chairs, sitting down into it as she set her book in her lap, looking over at Lament. ΩLamentΩ Location: Lounge Mood: Content Thoughts: She's got a point. While Anemone was talking, Lament had stretched and nodded a bit, agreeing with her last statement. He then moved to sit across from her, placing the book he had on a nearby table. Once he was seated, he positioned his feet flat on the floor and leaned forward, putting his upper body weight on his knees via his elbows. "I envy you, Anemone. I wish I could take a day for myself. Have you met any of the new students?" The curiosity he felt towards the girl was still fascinating him. They were both demons, yet she seemed so much different than him.†OOC≈{}†

Huh? Envy her eh? Well he could take a day to himself if he wants. This was a self paced academy and if he really wants to, he can easily take a day off. She was a teacher too now that she was a graduate. "You realize you can, right professor? You just choose not to take a day to yourself. Not like we're on schedule or anything." Anemone was letting her fingertips run across the book's surface as her eyes drifted back towards his face. "I have been keeping to myself as of late. So I haven't taken the time to greet any of the new additions to our academy. I will do it soon enough." If she doesn't seclude herself again like she did today.
