I was curious to see how many members here have met with and/or spoken with spiritual or even divine beings in vivid dream states, and for the subject matter to be important or relevant to what is presently occurring in your' life?

This happens quite frequently with me (Sometimes TOO frequently - as my wife says; Can't they leave you be sometimes?! lol ) and just wondered if this medium-like ability is common among members of the guild?

If you have experienced this phenomenon before, what are your' thoughts on it? Overall have they been good experiences, bad experiences, or varying back and forth between the two?

When I was 19-23 I had vivid dreams not really running into anything, and then this being called Dayus popped up when I was interacting with a friend in my dreams. I have no idea to this day exactly what Dayus is. I only knew that he was powerful and maintained a human form within the dreams.

After he came along my dreams became a bit haywired and I couldn't stay focused. I would wake up feeling drained and sometimes I became ill over this. I even saw a outline of him staring at me when I woke up one time. It freaked me out. All I remember from my dreams is images of battles involving me and several others including my friend against Dayus' armies, and even himself, but for some odd reason I do not remember the out come.

My friend does. She told me that Dayus' powers were not going to work for a while that he may not bother us anymore. My issue is not know what Dayus actually was and that no one that I have came across can give me a answer to who he was. It kind of bothers me a little.

Not even my friend could explain what he actually was due to the fact that when the battles occurred he maintained his human form. But, that's one of my encounters that I will share. And, to this day my levels of energy has declined since all that happened.

Most of my trance work is done in a dream like state. Trances are basically controlled dream states for me, so in that regards I have had several experiences. That being said I've never had anything happen in my actual dreams like that. I've never really tried my hand at lucid dreaming aside from occasionally being able to change something that just didn't work (like I was running in circles yet going different directions).

What sort of techniques do you use to initiate these trance dreams and what have you verified outside of the dreams?

I wish I could say that there is some special technique or ritual to prepare for trance state dreams, but unfortunately there is no secret to offer. They simply come and go as they will and I tend to go along with them. There are days, sometimes weeks, where I will have series of trance dreams that either are interrelated or do not appear to have any relation whatsoever.

The common themes to these dream trances are:

* I will not respond to any audible cues to awaken, but must come in direct contact with someone to wake up. (This was something my wife picked up from one of our books on astral projection.)

* I have little to no control over where I wind up while in the trance state, be it the borderlands, a spiritual realm, a white featureless room with an individual who wishes to converse, an unfamiliar cityscape, unfamiliar wilderness, etc. I have found myself in places that defy explanation - there simply are not words to express what I saw there and even while I was there I had this terrible feeling that I was somewhere that I did not belong.

* The Moon Phases seem to have an effect on where the trances lead me. Crescent to New Moon usually winds me up at the Borderlands. Half Moon usually is a point at which I am met with individuals who wish to speak with me regarding matters, this has included deceased family members, people whom I feel I have known a long time but cannot for the life of me remember where from, and the full moon usually results in prophetic or messages of warnings or to prepare for some new event in my life. I have not drawn any theological conclusion regarding the meanings behind these connecting moon phases. Those I've met at the half moon have delivered messages to me in the past that were confirmed subsequently. And some prophetic messages given have come to pass in most spectacular fashions, one told me of my daughter's birth date seven years prior another allowed me to save my father from being in an automobile accident that could have taken his life.

To be honest I can't really say for sure what I have experienced in dreams. I have been on medication for the past 6 years which has basically negated the possibility of dream work. I'm thinking about looking into spells and magical actions for invoking spiritual dreams as well as the ability to retain them once awake.

-raises hand-

I've had a number of experiences in dreams, mostly good with some bloody scary ones too.
