 ✠ Xym ✠§Location~ Library, apparently... With~ ... Thoughts~ Where the ******** am I? § The door had opened and dropped Xym in some odd place. He quite literally fell into the room he was in, landing with a loud thud. Getting the wind knocked out of him was a new feeling and it definitely wasn't enjoyable. Rolling onto his side and clutching his stomach, he tried to look around through watery eyes. I hate not having wings...
Books, shelves, benches, tables, chairs, lights, pens. That is what Xym could make out through his tear clouded vision. Evidently, he had landed in a library, but where? With it established that he was in some sort of library, the next step was to figure out where this library was. Am I still on Techarn?
Hoisting himself back to his feet and looking about it became clear that he was not on his 'home' planet any longer. It was evening here. Had it been this dark when I walked through that door? No, I had just gotten up, it was still early morning. Trying to find a door seemed like the obvious thing to do, but that would be too easy, plus, he might bump into something...human...
Xym began running through options in his head. Doesn't seem like there was a way back at the present time. Could always find someone to talk ******** that. How about a book? Just when that thought went through his brain, Xym spotted a book that seemed promising. 'TGA' was printed in large gold letters along the spine of the book. Picking it up, he moved over to one of the tables, clicked on the light, dropped the book down, and began reading.OOC~{}

✠ Xym ✠§Location~ Library With~ His thoughts Thoughts~ How did I get here? § Upon opening the book, Xym discovered that he was at some sort of academy. The name of the academy gave him some sort of idea how he got here. With his past and in knowing the potential to jump from one world to another he surmised that that is how he'd gotten to this place. The only question now was why.
Continuing his reading, the book revealed that this was a school of magic. A school that chose its patrons very carefully. I must have been chosen by the school then. He nodded to himself while raising his eyebrows and frowning, resulting in the typical 'not bad' face. The knowledge magic existed was present in Xym, but he'd not been able to do anything regarding that since he was banished from his home. Maybe that's why I'm here...
There was an innate desire in him to reacquire his magical abilities. However long it took, he would get them back. Holding up his hands, he concentrated on a spot between them. Nothing happened. Contorting his face with frustration, he attempted to conjure something again. Still nothing. Damnit. He slammed his hands on the desk on either side of the book.OOC~{}

✠ Xym ✠§Location~ Library With~ Not a soul Thoughts~ Should I explore? § His mind had went back to the book and he'd read a little more. The thoughts of getting his power back was very appealing. Would it even be the same power? Would he be able to do anything like he used to? What about his wings? Would they come back? So many questions so little answers. There had to be a better way to learn things than from some dusty old book. A heavy sigh left his slightly parted lips as he stood and returned the book to the shelf where he'd found it.
Finding the exit to the library was no small task. Somehow that place was significantly larger than he'd thought it was. He wandered around for what seemed like hours before the exit was finally clear to him. It was a definite relief that it was so late at night, that meant no people would be around to aggravate him. His hands found their place in his pockets, as was usual when he walked.OOC~{}

Anime looked up and around all the books. There were so many! How was she going to find the right one?! She looked around for any sort of system or an inventory of some sort. There was a book with the type of books and the aisles they were found. "Oh, okay, here we go." Anime looked at the beginning. History? Would she find anything in history? There were history books for lots of different places and most, if not all, pertained to their schools of magic. Anime shook her head, not finding what she was looking for. "Okay Anime. Think. What topic would you be in?... Creatures, maybe?"
Anime looked under 'creatures.' she looked for books titled 'creatures of the night,' 'strange and exotic creatures,' and 'the study of darkness and light creatures.' STILL nothing.
"Maybe teleportation," She thought aloud, rather hurriedly. Anime went to an aisle marked 'particular elements' and found the section called 'space.' She looked for 'Teleportation' on every book she could find relevant.
'An individual with the element of space can sometimes find the power to teleport. This meditation often involves different portals and an instinctual path will tell the individual which way to go.'
Good to know, but not what she was looking for.
'A teleporter, or 'space jumper,' is often a trait for those with the ability to bend the element of space. Creatures given this power often varies with the world.'
"Is that it? Aw come on!" Anime put away that book with careless anger and pulled out the other one.
'To teleport, one must first have their aura in the shape of a median; that is, something that can lead one from one portal to the next. There are different planes where one can find portals, and when accurately found one may teleport into an unconscious person's dreams.'
Anime narrowed her eyes. Not what she was looking for, but she checked it out anyway. She'd just have to try again later. If this book had something about dreams, then maybe it'd mention something somewhere else, or at least get her a new key word to look up. Besides, teleporting from reality to the dream world was something she was very interested in.

☤Location≈ Library With≈ Grace Thoughts≈ Books, books, books. ☤ When the two of them reached the library, Verta stopped dead in his tracks and looked around. Amazing... He was always fascinated by learning and this place held an immense amount of knowledge. In his stupor of excitement, he released Graces hand and slowly walked into the room. Staring around this place, his mouth hanging agape, he squeaked a little bit.
He found a way to a section about the history of the academy. Then to a section covering the darkness element. His movement was sporadic and he stopped randomly to thumb through a few books that caught his attention. Eventually he had found the air element section and pulled a couple books out of the shelves. Carrying them to the tables, he clicked on a light and disappeared into his own little world of learning.‡OOC≈{Code is perfect, what the hell Gaia.}‡

When Verta let go and went off on his own she became curious about the books around her as well. She walked around looking at the strange titles she couldn't understand sometimes pulling some off the shelves to view their covers. She picked up one with a flame symbol on the cover flipping through the pages. Occasionally there were pictures, they looked like steps almost in some sort of way. She held on to it thinking maybe it could be useful. She walked on and eventually seeing nothing else of extreme interest she sat at the table. She noticed there were writing tools and paper there.
She hadnt used a pencil in quite sometime but she remembered loving to doodle when she was younger. She picked it up along with a piece of paper and began a drawing from her mind. It was quite random, but she drew many different animals. Not too bad She thought looking at the now finished bear on the paper. She felt more creative now and decided to have the bear breathing fire. She giggled covering her mouth not wanting to disturb anyone.

☤Location≈ Library With≈ Grace Thoughts≈ Oh, that's how it works... ☤ The books Verta had brought all covered aspects of controlling air and the immense potential held within. One covered how fierce one can be just by manipulating the air around ones self. One covered unconventional ways in which to use the magic. The last one covered how to heal with air. That one would clearly be beyond his talent, but the first two seemed like, with a bit of practice, they could be achieved. His mind was awash with possibilities that were now open to him.
Unconscious to him, he'd actually begun using his power to flip the pages in the book as he took down notes. If there wasn't a teacher here, he would teach himself. It seemed that the teacher he was assigned to, Lament, had been preoccupied with other things and neglected to contact him for a lesson. Well, that wasn't exactly true. They had set up a lesson but the seal class had taken over and Lament had cancelled.
The book Verta was reading through now was covering the fierceness of his power, from the basics to the advanced. It seemed that his brain had accelerated with the use of the power at a very fast rate, with him speeding air molecules to heat the air. That, according to this book, was very advanced and usually didn't occur until the wizard in question had grasped that air magic didn't actually control wind, but moved the particles within the air itself.
Grace slightly giggling brought a smile to his face, breaking his focus for a moment. He looked up at her with a quizzical 'What's-so-funny' look on his face. Once he looked up his focus was entirely shattered. She was his focus now. Infatuation was a cruel mistress and could quite possibly end well, and he knew that, but couldn't help it.‡OOC≈{}‡

She laughed seeing his confused face and held up her silly drawings mostly of the magical fire bear. "Fire bear!" She laughed. "Do you like it? I was thinking of making animals for all of us" She said thinking of all the new people she met here, thought she didnt quite know yet what animal would best represent each person. "What animal would you be?" She asked trying to think of something. She picked up another piece of paper and started doodling again

Seemed to him like she'd drawn a picture of herself of sorts, although he definitely saw her as more of a cat. At her question he turned his head to the side and thought. "I've never really thought about it...an owl maybe? I don't know. What do you think?" He turned his face back to her and smiled, waiting for an answer. My she is a strange one.‡OOC≈{}‡

"Hmmm" She stared at him awhile trying to decide and it was hard because he could be many things. "Huh." She made a concentration face still staring at him "Maybe.. a doggy!" She said thinking of how loyal he seemed and generally there for someone if they needed him. She doodled a picture of a skinny wolfish looking dog she drew him a smile. "There!" She thought about writing his name underneath but as she had no idea how to spell his name she left it blank. She did remember how to write her own name however, she wrote it at the bottom carefully. Her handwriting wasnt exactly the best, but it was the best signature she could produce. She gave him the drawing feeling proud of herself. "Keep it!" She smiled

☤Location≈ Library With≈ Grace Thoughts≈ A dog, oh my. ☤ That was a very accurate depiction of him, loyal and all that. A dog did suit him, but it seemed so...subsidiary. Of course, he didn't mind. Sometimes he wished he was seen as stronger, but it could be a definite advantage to not be seen as a threat. He took the picture and looked at it happily before setting it on his desk beside his notes. "I can accept that. Are you going to do them for the others as well?"‡OOC≈{}‡

"Maybe If i can think of something" She said thinking of what each person was like. She concentrated on drawing then thinking as she did. She started drawing a fox for no particular reason she mind starting to wander as she drew. "Maybe Anime will be the fox" She said also drawing her with a smile. She watched Verta for a moment realizing he had stopped working completely. "Am I distracting you?" She asked concerned "I can stop if you want" She said putting down her pencil

☤Location≈ Library With≈ Grace Thoughts≈ Such a fascinating girl... ☤ He had watched her as she began drawing again, even listening to her say that Anime should be the fox. That made sense in his mind, so he nodded in agreement. When she looked up at him, he just smiled at her. "No, draw all you want." Assuming she went back to drawing, Verta went back to writing notes down in his notebook. So, I control the molecules in the air, not the air itself.
His mind became fully enveloped in the concepts of his magic yet again. According to this...I should be able to create lightning by aligning the positive and negative particles in the air in the correct order. That seems so in depth...I can't even feel anything but the air yet. How do I... He began flipping through pages again, trying to find a section on sensitivity. Ah, here it is. Page 588. This says that I have to focus intently on one particle. My focus will slowly shrink to that size.
This new insight sparked a curiosity in him. He stared at a spot just in front of his book. Nothing was happening. Verta wouldn't give up that easily though. Slowly but surely, his mind began to create a tunnel around his eyes, his ears began to cancel out all noise. The spot he was focusing on became sharper and sharper until he could feel it, the single molecule it wanted. Grabbing a hold of it with his mind, he moved it back and forth, feeling the ripples in the particles around it. I can't do this on a regular basis...too much focus.‡OOC≈{}‡

Grace finished Anime's then drew Ren's robot holding the fork. She tried not to giggle at the memory of him. He was scary at first but she thought it was quiet funny now, even though she still couldnt understand how the thing was alive. She smiled at the picture then started drawing Ren next to him. Ren seemed pretty innocent to her so far, so she drew her as a bunny. A bunny and a robot She thought holding back more giggles with her hand over her mouth. She looked up at Verta to make sure she wasnt being distracting, she noticed he looked very out of it. Super concentration mode She thought
