••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• (Out Of Cola: ))Kotai sighed, his calm blue eyes gazing about from where he sat, atop one of the rooftops near the street, he had heard all the commotion and watched the few televisions he could see, but he didn't have a full idea of what had happened, something that frustrated him..knowledge was a powerful weapon to have, no matter how strong a person was if you could outsmart them you had a better chance of winning..not to say strength wasn't a good thing to have as well. Finally Kotai sighed, standing up before he dropped from the rooftop, making sure to have his feet land on the windowsills before dropping once again, hopefully in time to stop himself from plummeting to his death. Finally he landed on the cement, forcing himself to stand as he glanced about once more, seeing the desolate street he was on..not many humans walked the streets anymore, at least the small street he was currently standing on. With a shrug he walked off, towards the direction of the traffic he had seen, hopefully he could find something that would let him know what occurred, though he wouldn't get his hopes up too high..it would only let him down in the end.
A minute or so later he arrived at the usually heavily trafficked spot, for some reason there were almost no people driving today..not that he was complaining..although it was strange it was so desolate he didn't mind the silence. He began to walk off, looking for a place to stay and eat at only to hear a loud screeching sound, Kotai spun around, attempting to see what had made the noise, only for a large beast to slam into his body, smashing him through the wall behind him easily, pain flooded his senses as he glared weakly at the monster who was smashed into his body. In an instant his hand gripped the handle of his Tanto, unsheathed it, and then plunged it as deep as possible into beasts head. When the monster finally let him go he smashed painfully into the floor, groaning from where he landed. He managed to push himself onto his hands, slowly pushing his body upwards before he managed to stand upright. When he finally was standing once again he brushed his clothing off, sighing as he leaned against the wall near him. His ribs and lunges hurt, the monster most likely broke a rib or two, nothing that wouldn't heal eventually. He gasped for air and frowned, perhaps he had been bruised? He unbuttoned his shirt, revealing his slightly tanned upper body and his peak conditioning. His muscles bulged and yet seemed to fit his body well at the same time, it was compact, well structured, obviously trained under hard conditions by a great teacher. When he looked down to check for bruising he frowned, finding none on his body, perhaps his asthma was acting up? He shook his head, buttoning his shirt back up as he walked out of the building. The moment he stepped outside he noticed more monsters had come, apparently attracted by the noise.
It seemed as if hundreds of zombies and mutants had arrived now, that was all he could see, zombies for what seemed to be miles. No matter where he looked the monsters were there, what had caused this? What had he missed whilst he was gone? Those thoughts are what flooded his brain as he glanced about, looking for whatever way out he could find, it was hard to see through the mass of zombies but he was able to see small locations he could run to, an alley here, a shop there, perhaps he should just test his luck with the horde of zombies? No, that was a stupid idea, maybe he should just run for the alley, but then again zombies had that place covered as well, damn. "What caused this? Why did it happen now..I don't understand..what have I missed?" Those were the thoughts that crossed Kotai's mind, and whilst he knew he stood no chance against all the zombies at once perhaps he could lure them into the alley and make them come at him one at a time? That could work. In an instant he dashed forward, jumping onto of one of the monster's heads before springing off it, landing safely in the alley as the zombies turned to him, moaning as they attempted to squeeze through the alleyway.
Kotai shook his head, it was disappointing that the monsters were that stupid, even if they were dead they should be able to walk right instead of run into each other. With a sigh he drew his desert eagle, he only had eight rounds in this magazine, he had to make it last or else he was done. He took aim, making sure to aim for the middle of the monster's foreheads, the most useful spot when killing something, aside from the heart of course. However, if anything, Kotai knew zombie's were weak to attacks to the brain, usually this was depicted in movies but he decided to trust it for now. The moment his aim was true he pulled the trigger, a bullet exploding from the barrel as it spun towards one of the zombies. Blood splattered along the alley as the bullet ripped through the zombies head, piercing into a second one's head before it stopped. Kotai gave a smirk of achievement before drawing his Katana. He lunged forward, slicing through two of the zombies before jumping over them, hearing a girl yell towards him.
He turned, seeing a girl with long black hair running, a large monster chasing after her, she screamed for him to run and he just smirked. He spun, slicing through the few zombies that surrounded him. With that done he fixed his gloves, dashing towards the girl and the monster. In an instant he flipped forward, pushing off her shoulder lightly before spinning and gripping the Mutant by the head, the gunpowder on his glove ignited, causing a large explosion to ripple from his hand and into the air, launching him off the Mutant, spinning he landed on his feet before looking up at the beast. He saw the mutant just shrug the attack off and frowned, rushing forward as he drew his Katana from it's sheath.
He swung downwards, his blade glinting as it arched through the air, the moment it was about to touch the beast it bounced backwards, flinging his arm upwards alongside his blade. With a grunt he rolled with the flip, launching his body into the air as he spun, using the momentum to slash downwards, getting a small cut off the beast. With that done he spun around the monster, dancing out of it's reach as he stopped near where the girl was last. This beast was such a pain in the a**, why wouldn't it just die? With that thought he gripped his hand, his arms flexing as he did so, muscles rippling with each action he made.
He was getting angry, anger was always a bad thing during combat, that was drilled into his head by his master. It was something he would never forget, no matter what happened he would always remember the things his master taught him before he died. Never back down, never falter, never doubt, always move forward, always strike first. With that thought in mind he lunged forward, tapping the beast in the throat with his glove, an explosion ripping through flesh as he did so. He spun, dancing around the beast once again, his blade slicing shallowly through the monsters tough skin, his arms were killing him from the pressure he had to exert just to nick it.

••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• (Out Of Cola: ))Kotai's face shifted into a cold stare, he officially entered "battle" mode as his master called it, when his adrenaline reached past a certain point his brain would hyper-activate, causing his entire body to hyper-activate, his muscles were working at around sixty percent capacity, whereas a normal non-combat based civilians would work at close to twenty percent, his brain which was normally using fifty percent was now using close to ninety percent, almost eight times that of a normal humans, it was surprising how smart he actually was despite his appearance. He saw the girl from before kill one of the mutants and smirked, she was pretty strong, she'd make a good martial artist with how she moved and her ability to deduce the weakness of the mutants. He himself noticed the weakness when he touched the beast the first time, however he decided against exploiting it simply because he couldn't get in range to hit it with his sword, and he didn't want to risk wounding himself too much. With that thought he spun, slicing a zombie through the skull, slicing through bone and brain in one swipe. He heard a roar and spun around, only to be slammed into by a mutant, it sent him careening into the wall near them, smashing through brick at a painful rate. Stupid beasts just had to body-slam him, it's like they had no brain. He stepped out of the rubble, shaking his shoulders to rid them of the debris that landed on them.
He drew his Tanto, lunging forward to stab into the mutants underbelly, piercing through skin before he spun around, stabbing it through it's throat with his Katana, his body was raising it's hyper-activity, this was getting dangerous, his Asthma was threatening to act up, he could feel it. He danced around the beast, slashing at the weak spots lining it's body, behind the knee, between the forearm and the bicep, vocal cords, jugular, eyes, mouth. Any weakness he spotted he exploited, killing the mutant within a few seconds, an achievement considering it took him almost a minute to kill the last one. He spun to help the girl when she spoke, catching him by surprise as the nearest mutant smashed into him once again, this time sending him crashing through the nearest window, normally this wouldn't hurt, a few cuts here and there, but this time it hurt more than usual. A scream of pain ripped from his throat as the glass slashed through his right eye, when attempting to protect his body from the mutants blow he was unable to protect his head, causing a large chunk of glass to slice through his eye. Blood splashed against the floor as his hand shot up to cover the wound in an attempt to stop the bleeding.
When he realized it wouldn't stop he grabbed his sleeve, ripping it off before wrapping it around his eye, with that done he clenched his fist, finally opening his hand as he glared at two of the mutants, he rushed forward, palms out as he struck at them. The moment his his hand touched the mutant's head's his mind was filled with information, one of them was a scientist who helped create some sort of shampoo, useless knowledge. The other however was an ex-navy officer who was discharged after receiving a bullet wound to the spin, causing his body to be unable to hold the gun as required, after getting an honorable discharge he was found by a scientist who offered to give that ability back to him, instead he turned into this..beast, codenamed Chimera, it was a failed experiment it seems, causing the mutants to appear. He shook his head before pulling his hands back, a human looking figure coming with them, the faint blueish colored human was staring at him in shock as he stared at it coldly. He clenched his hands, crushing the souls into particles before he stuffed them into his mouth, instantly he felt revitalized, his body being filled with energy as he let a sigh of relief leave his mouth. He turned when he heard bones cracking, only to see the girl before turn into a mutant. Had she been infected by something? No..it seems she could shapeshift somehow, strange ability but considering he could consume souls after ripping them from his victim he had no reason to say that to her. In an instant he flipped forward, placing his hands on her shoulder before spinning around to land in a sitting position atop her shoulder, it was strange knowing that whilst she retained her humanity she was still a mutant, but it was also..enthralling at the same time.

••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• (Out Of Cola: ))Kotai grimaced, pain flooding his senses as she poured the peroxide into the wound, he could feel the disinfectant begin to work, the sizzling that it caused reminding him of that, as she worked he just sat still, making sure to keep his eye open, if he closed it he could risk screwing up the sewing, resulting in it being even worse, thankfully only the optical nerve was damaged, if it was any deeper he could risk brain damage, something he wasn't looking forward to. So he reluctantly remained still, his thoughts running rampant as he sat there, left silent with his thoughts, he wasn't upset at his loss of the eye, but he was frustrated he was unable to sense the mutant before it sent him careening into the glass of the store. His thoughts then went to how skilled Quinn was, it was strange to see a civilian work as well as she did with both the medical supplies as well as when she fought, perhaps she wasn't really a civilian? That was a possibility, though he brushed it off, she didn't look like any high ranking officer of the military, government perhaps? That was a major possibility, most agents of the government were given combat training, if only the basics. Finally after what seemed to be hours she was done, allowing him to sit up once she finished bandaging the wound. It was a painful process to go through, considering there was no anesthesia to counter the pain that was caused from her sewing the wound shut. He sat up, grabbing the offered bottle of whiskey before taking a rather large gulp from it, he was used to drinking so the small burning sensation of it didn't bother him much. He stood up, stumbling from the searing pain that resonated from his eye, it was a strange feeling to only be able to see from one eye.
With his now ruined depth perception he turned to Quinn, raising an eyebrow as she rolled her shoulders, he noticed her wince and shook his head, he walked over to her and grabbed her shoulder softly, turning her around as he leaned in closer to look at the wound. It wasn't too bad of a wound, though it did need to be disinfected and bandaged, luckily he was able to do that from the training he received. "First thing's first, your shoulder has to be taken care of, so stand still for a few moments." His voice was commanding, yet cautious at the same time, he was worried she would disobey him, whilst it wouldn't bother him much if she left it was bad to leave a wounded person, a woman no less on her own. His honor wouldn't allow it, so he reached around and grabbed the peroxide and leftover bandages. With the tweezers in his hand he reached into the wound, fishing out the few pieces of glass that seemed to be lodged into it, after doing that he threw the glass away before turning back to the wound. He frowned at it before opening a slightly larger hole in the shirt, allowing him to pour the peroxide onto it, soaking the stray liquid up with the ripped pieces of his shirt. He shook his head, grabbing the bandage before he went to work wrapping it up, he was a little embarrassed when he had to take off a part of her shirt, revealing her shoulder and upper arm so he could wrap the wound correctly but he got over it. Once he was done he wiped his hands off, slipping his shirt off before handing it to her to wear, he doubted she wanted to run around in a shirt with a hole in the shoulder as well as being practically soaked in blood. Whereas he just was left with his bare torso, something he didn't mind in the least. He glanced down, noticing a slight bruising before shaking his head and rolling his neck, hearing them pop loudly. With that done he smirked, rushing forward before placing one hand underneath her legs, the other behind her back as he scooped her up bridal style.
Without stopping he jumped off the building, flipping as he did so, he held her close to his chest so as to not have her get harmed because he let her go from impact. He grunted as he rolled, protecting her from the impact once again as he continued his sprint, he knew where the military base was, he used to work there as a pilot before he left after his time was up. So with that thought in his mind he continued his sprinting, hopping along the buildings with a roll before continuing on. He was leery of the mutants in case they could jump to them but they seemed to not do so, so he just ignored them. However when he noticed a black creature with glowing red eyes and horns staring at him out of the corner of his eye he almost had a heart attack, increasing his speed as the adrenaline kicked in, causing his muscles to work three times as fast as normal. Buildings past by as a damn-near blur as she sprinted along them, easily vaulting the gaps now, he saw the base around three miles ahead, his eyes narrowing at it before he had to abruptly roll to his left, dodging a large explosion that ripped through the roof he was standing on. "s**t!" Was all he said as he took off in a dead sprint once again, he had to make it to the base as fast as possible, if he didn't the demon would get them, and he was in no mood to fight one of them. With that thought in mind he shifted Quinn in his arms before spinning around, whilst simultaneously drawing his desert eagle, he let a bullet fly, piercing lightly into the demons skin, his eye widened before the air was thrust from his body as he was launched away from the beast, the impact of it's blindingly fast punch sending them both careening through the air, he instinctively curled around Quinn, protecting him from the fall as they smashed into the roof, rolling along it before launching off it, his eye widened once again before he smashed through the wood of the building after it, rolling to a stop against the wall as he noticed the demon flying away after it's hit, probably thinking them to be dead.

••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.•• (Out Of Cola: ))Kotai rolled to a stop, smashing into a dresser that was in the room, it was painful of course, slamming into anything at as fast as they did would hurt pretty bad. He groaned, attempting to push himself up, only to collapse onto the ground with a pained grunt, he apparently took more damage than he originally thought, quickly channeling his Ki through his body he searched for the damaged areas and frowned, two broken ribs, a slightly cracked hip and a broken shoulder, that was bad, without those bones being okay it would be rather hard for them to make it to the military base fast. He finally managed to push himself up after a few moments of struggling, seeing Quinn push herself up before walking to him and holding her hand out. He wanted to grab it, to pull himself up, but with his arm in as bad a shape as it was that would be impossible. He stood up, brushing her hand before nodding his head in thanks, his arm hanging limply by his side. "I hate those damn things, I'm alright..don't worry, I'll get us there." He flashed her a smirk before scooping her up once again, his arms settling in a position that would keep his arm from being injured even further. It was hard to so sadly, even if Quinn wasn't heavy she still weighed a good hundred and fifty pounds, having all that weight on one arm was rather difficult, although he managed to give a reassuring smile to her.
With Quinn finally settled correctly in his arms he leapt out the window, making sure to land in a roll to minimize the impact on his joints, with them safely on the ground he took off towards the military base, not as fast as before however it was still rather fast compared to just walking there. With each step his lunges screamed at him to stop running, let them rest but he kept his pace up, his body screaming in protest as he sprinted towards the base. He hopped upwards, landing atop on of the zombies heads before leaping off it, flipping to land on a second zombies skull, crouching to give his body a stronger leap, sending them further forward than the last jump. He was amazed at the fact that even with over three hundred pounds of weight on the heads of the dead they didn't sag, just continued to moan and walk about like morons. It made him chuckle to think that even whilst dead humans were thick-skinned and stupid. He continued his acrobatics, flipping and spinning in the air as he leapt from zombie to zombie. He could see the military base closer now, being only a quarter of a mile away from the two. Seeing that made Kotai smirk before he gave a crouched jump, flipping to land his feet on the cement before sprinting towards the base. The men patrolling the base quickly aimed at him ready to fire when they noticed he was human, and was holding a woman in his arms, they were both relatively injured, Kotai using most of his strength to hold Quinn with his left arm instead of both, his right hanging limply by his side.
The men put there weapons down slightly, though they were ready to fire if zombies followed them, thankfully the demon that had been tailing them fled when it deemed the two dead from the impact of the blast it sent at them, thankfully with Kotai's training it was easy to brace for the impact to keep them both alive with minimal damage. They arrived at the gate and Kotai grunted, setting Quinn down before taking deep gasping breathes, thankfully his asthma wasn't acting up after that, he would be screwed if he did, without his inhaler; which was lost during the invasion when he was fighting a group of zombies and it acted up, causing him to take it out and inhale only to drop it when a zombie lunged at him. So he was thankful that that was settled down, it wouldn't help him to have an attack so soon after his earlier one. After his lunges stopped burning from lack of air he straightened his body and rolled his neck, popping the kinks that formed from when the demon attacked them. After doing so he turned to one of the men near him, speaking in his calm, regal tone. "Thank you for not firing at us good sir, it wouldn't do good to be riddled with bullets because of a misunderstanding." The man gave a sheepish nod before introducing himself as Max, a private that was stationed as a guard for the base. Kotai gave a calming smile before bowing briefly, a sign of great respect as a martial artist. "A pleasure to meet you Private Max, my name is Kotai Shinsou." Max's eye's widened before he pulled a book out of his pocket, handing it to Kotai before asking him to sign it, stars in his eyes as he stared at the taller man. "Ah..so I'm recognized even here.." Was all he said before he signed the book, handing it back to Max.
He turned to Quinn, putting his left hand in his pocket as he stared at her, maybe now that they were safe she could tell him where she got her training. "So Quinn, now that we're here perhaps you can tell me where you trained over some food, because I'm starving.." Just as he said that his stomach rumbled, indicating his statement was true, he gave an embarrassed blush before scratching the back of his neck. That was extremely embarrassing to have happen, especially in front of a beautiful woman like Quinn. After Max snapped out of his awe struck stare he motioned for the two to follow him as he lead them into the base, showing them the areas that were off limit, such as the barracks and weapons storage area, understandable of course. He lead them to the area the refugees were staying, which in this case was a large building with what seemed to be hundreds of rooms, Kotai noticed with a brief glance that there weren't that many refugees in the building, that was worrying..had they all died in the initial virus breakout? His thoughts began to wonder to what had happened, sorting through the memories he received from the two souls he consumed earlier in the fight against the mutants.
