Laharl Part Deux

PostPosted: Sun Mar 05, 2006 12:08 pm

Here are some lyrics I wrote and I wanted to see what you all thought of them. I still have to add a third verse but I thought I'd share what I have so far.

A Myriad of things

Wanting to fly yet having no wings
Is the greatest curse bestowed upon me
My life's in shambles due to a myriad of things
I'm falling fast can't you see?
Broken glass broken dreams
Behind this smile is not what it seems
I may look happy but it just an illusion
Within this doll demeanor is much confusion

Chorus #1:
I would love for you to save me
But being the hero isn't your cup of tea
And I am drowning obviously
Down I sink into a blackened sea
Hate me yes
Love me no
My life's a mess
So down, down I go

I've hit rock bottom and it's here I lie
Bleeding on an onyx floor about to die
My last living thoughts are hopeless dreams
A futile prayer that simply sings
Of a time long past, a faded picture
Reminds me of a broken contract, a forged signature
The promise that sent me to this hell
"I'll always be there, I'll never let you fall,"
And with this last moment I whisper "damn it all!"

Chorus#2:
I would've love for you to save me
But being the hero wasn't your cup of tea
And I have drowned obviously
I have sunk into a blacked sea
Hated me yes
Loved me no
My life left in a mess
Soul leaving, continuing life's flow

Tell me what you guys think okay? ^^~

No, not really, but most people tend to think that with my poetry, music and dress. I just have had more negative experience than positive so it's easier to write about sad things. Personality wise, I'm quite resilient so I've managed to keep myself from succumbing to depression sweatdrop

It reminds me of how things used to be before I got closer to God. Material things had let me down, and they only led me into a pit.
