History
Mathew was born into royalty in the ancient world. Though, his sinning ways brought wrath down upon his entire family. Their God, Ahura Mazda, brought firey death to his home. Razing it to the earth. Mathew survived the fire, while the rest of his family burned in Ahura Mazda's purifying flame. Ahura Mazda cursed him with immortality, and to be the prison for his eternal opposite, Aesma Daeva. For century's Mathew lived in hatred and spite. Murdering, raping, destroying peoples homes as his was.
After the fall of the Persian Empire, and through the rise of Christianity; Mathew found purpose again. Reasons to change who he was. Love, compassion, and then when the Gods began to come back to the world he found a way for redemption. The humans in the world are weak and too easily manipulated by the Powers of those around them. Mathew will protect them till he finally dies, in hopes that he can finally have peace.
