Raumo hummed a soft purr to himself as he wandered towards the sound of the stream. It was a very mixed day; the weather was confused, and unable to decide between blazing sunshine and rather threatening clouds, and the breeze sending the clouds skidding through the sky also occasionally ruffled Raumo's spotted fur.
Still, despite the indecision of the weather, the air was clear and clean, and as Raumo took a deep breath, it was pleasant and reminded him how good it was to be alive. And so, with a bounce in his step and a hum under his breath, he trotted towards the stream which- some way from here- would eventually feed into the central park.
Here, however, was quieter; away from the clamour of individuals come to meet and talk. The houses, grass and trees seemed to be blended together by an expert hand; natural and beautiful. He was glad that one of the families he visited lived so near here- and near the spring, which wound through trees and swirled into pools. It was a peaceful place to walk, and it was where his paws were resolutely headed now.

Enjoying the quiet, and the cool crisp water that served for a refreshing drink, Xueki resolutely tried his hardest to ignore the way the weather was behaving. He would have much preferred if it would turn colder already and stay that way. The water wasn't even still enough that he could catch a glimpse of himself to be sure that his fur was in proper order. Digging long claws into the soft earth of the bank for just a moment, he decided to just finish his drink then perhaps find somewhere in the shade. Maybe, just maybe, if he found a spot to nap for a while, the wind would shift cooler before he woke back up? Well, one could hope.

Raumo was nearing the stream when a scent on the breeze first told him he was not alone. His tufted ears flicked forwards and his warm eyes watched for the first sign of this visitor to his spot- although, as he reasoned to himself, it's possible he's been here regularly as well. It's not as if I spend that much time in this area.
He spotted the other Maneki Neko as he wandered down the banks to the stream. After the winter thaws the stream would swell to the very tops of it's embankments- sometimes even overflowing in places, depending on the rains. But for now it was a shallower stream- much more manageable.
Raumo gave the other a quick once-over; male, striped fur, rounded ears, and rather longer teeth that was common- long enough to protrude quite noticeably even with his mouth closed. Raumo paid it no mind, however- there were a lot of unusual Maneki Neko out there, and he wasn't one to judge, beyond thinking that they must be an inconvenience.
Unsure if the other wanted company- or even if he'd yet been noticed- Raumo splashed happily into the stream at one of it's shallower points, where it covered his paws but not much further. He bent his head and took a few laps at the delicious, almost bitingly cold water, before strolling through the water to the far side. There he sat, close enough to speak with the other, and started grooming his wet paws with no visible concern.

Truthfully Xueki wasn't even aware that he was no longer alone at the stream until the sharp sound of a splash -not loud, but not quiet enough to have been too far away either. Swiveling ears first, he turned and could only stare as another Maneki Neko actually had two paws in the water, and just so casually walked through the water, getting fur wet before arriving at his side of the stream. Looking back and forth from the other to the water at least two more times, trying to convince himself he had really just seen someone willingly getting wet and apparently not care about it in the least, he gave out a chuff of air. "How can you stand that."
It wasn't entirely a question, but he wasn't concerned by giving an image that he could have an attitude. At least he hadn't asked what was on his mind. It was highly doubtful that asking if the other was mad was a proper first question regardless of situation.Renshu Li surprise 8D my muse lives again possibly lol

Raumo glanced in mild surprise at the other male; not lifting his head, just his eyes moving. The other's voice had been brusque- close to rude, even- and Raumo was both genuinely surprised, and just as genuinely confused.
"I'm sorry?" For a few moments he didn't remove the paw he had been grooming away from his mouth, simply gazing mildly at the other; before he finally lowered it a little and raised his head.
"I'm afraid I have no idea what you're talking about. How can I stand... what?" Malikztiah Ankhere ((Short and crap response is short and crap, sorry. D: ))
