♠ Yuusuke Haku ♠ Demon ♠ ♠ ♠ ________________________________ ♠ ♠ ♠ A male figure enters the cafe before him. He swings the door open and steps in. All heads seem to turn as he enters, their eyes gazing at his beauty. But most feel fear when they see him as well. The male seems to give off a delinquent atmosphere. He is strong-looking, has two ear piercings, and a strong build. He seems to mean no harm, he's just terribly hungry. The male that stands before us is no other than Yuusuke Haku.
Yuusuke was terribly hungry. He had just gotten out of a fight, and thankfully no scratches or injuries were on him. The fight was over something stupid like usual. Yuusuke was just strolling around and suddenly bumped into another male. The other male looked angry, and started going off on Yuusuke. "Shut up hothead." Yuusuke had said irritated. The other male had gotten even more angry and started throwing punches. Then Yuusuke got angry and kicked his a** before he continued strolling. Then his stomach had begun to growl.
So Yuusuke was here now, at this rather spacious cafe, trying to decide what he wanted to eat. After much consideration as he waited in line, he decided on a simple sandwich with a coke. When it was his turn to order, everyone around Yuusuke seemed to hold their breath, as if he was to do something amazing or terrifying. Yuusuke sighed at the humans, but he then ordered. "I'll have a deli sandwich with a coke." he said to the cashier politely. She seemed startled by his voice, but then recovered and pushed some buttons on the cash register. 'Will that be all sir?' she asked, a hint of fear in her voice. Yuusuke sighed again, but he nodded. "Yes, that is all." he told her.
Five or so minutes after Yuusuke had ordered his food, a lady came over to where he was sitting to deliver it. She set the tray down that contained his sandwich and coke, and he thanked the lady. "Thank you miss." he said politely and with a smile. The woman blushed, but she quickly scurried away. Yuusuke didn't have a taste for women, so he didn't think anything special about the blush. After all, Yuusuke was a homosexual. Yuusuke had sat at one of the corner's of the store, close to a window. He could see people walking along, their lives busy or carefree. Yuusuke picked up his sandwich and began eating it. He studied the people in the cafe as he did so, wondering what humans did every day. Yuusuke tried everyday to act like a normal human, but his aura was always different. But of course that was because he was a demon. He didn't seem bothered by humans, he was just curious about them despite his past with the mundanes. And so, Yuusuke sat, watching and wondering about the humans before his demonic eyes. ♠ ♠ ♠ ________________________________ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ "The barrier I set cannot be broken"

"...'This life as you now live it and have lived it, you will have to live once more and innumerable times more'..." ☢╔════════※════════╗ ☢ As much as Caesar hated people and as much as he hated being out during the day, his growling stomach and empty fridge would not let him be. He could have gone to the resturaunt but he was not that hungry. If he was super hungry, he would be munching on someone's heart.
After grumbling and pulling a hand from his pocket, Casar opens the door to the cafe and steps inside, grateful to be away from the day light once again. He really wished that he didn't have to leave the comfort of the basement.He orders something at random, not really caring what it was as long as it didn't taste like crap. The woman stared at him as he waited for his order, giving her a growl with a nasty glare before she finally turned away. Humans were the most disgusting of all of the creatures to him. He snatches his order before tossing the money in her direction, walking over to a table before sitting down and resting his feet on it, eating his food as he observed the people going in and out of the cafe. ♠ Yuusuke Haku ♠ Demon ♠ ♠ ♠ ________________________________ ♠ ♠ ♠ Yuusuke looked out the cafe window, his sandwich barely eaten and his coke nearly full. He watched the events of humans go by. A woman's shoe heel had broken and she was complaining. Two suspicious men were selling drugs. A mother and child were walking along happily. A man was preaching about the one true god. Three slutty women walked the street with heavy-looking shopping bags. So many events were going on, and Yuusuke just watched. He shook his head several times at the events before him, but it was rather funny entertainment, so he continued to watch.
Yuusuke turned back to his food after looking out the window for some time. He took three big bites of his sandwich, and then a rather large sip of his coke. The ice in the cup moved around, and Yuusuke heard the swishing sound of it. He seemed to take notice of everything around him. Mostly because he got inspiration to draw when he studied things. Yuusuke bit into his sandwich again. He seemed to repeat a process: take a bite, drink, look around, repeat. Only when Yuusuke's sandwich was 70% finished did he turn to look outside and spot the male.
Yuusuke's eyes seemed to take notice of him almost immediately. He had a very different aura than that of humans. Plus, his appearance was different, making him stand out even more. Yuusuke's demonic eyes seemed to lock onto him as he opened the cafe door and stepped inside. He quickly ordered his food, and with a scowl. Yuusuke realized he didn't seem to like humans. He continued to watch as the male grabbed his food and sat down, his legs going on the table. "How...bold." Yuusuke thought to himself as he continued to observe the male. The male didn't seem to do much else though. He was eating and food and observing people, much like how Yuusuke was doing. Yuusuke took another bite of his sandwich and another sip of his coke. He wondered if the male would notice him. Yuusuke wasn't interested in the male. He had sensed that his sexuality was that of a heterosexual. But, Yuusuke wasn't concerned about that.
A bird flew towards the window of the cafe where Yuusuke sat. It began chirping a beautiful tune, and Yuusuke listened in on his song. 'Oh, how I love the sun!' The bird sang over and over, and Yuusuke couldn't help but laugh. Yuusuke's face seemed to light up, and he looked almost like a normal human. But, what Yuusuke did next made sure he wasn't even close to that of a human. "Hello Mr. Bird." Yuusuke began. The bird stopped chirping and turned towards Yuusuke, hearing his voice. 'Hello.' The bird said casually, as if he was used to humans talking to him. Yuusuke and the bird then began to have a conversation, as if it were normal for the both of them. Yuusuke began to receive strange stares form the people at the cafe. But Yuusuke would pay no attention to it until he felt the non-human eyes on him. ♠ ♠ ♠ ________________________________ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ "The barrier I set cannot be broken"

"...'This life as you now live it and have lived it, you will have to live once more and innumerable times more'..." ☢╔════════※════════╗ ☢ Caesar paid no attention to the other male as he observed the others in disgust, eating his food quietly as he wishedit was a heart instead of the crappy sandwich he ordered. He was growing tired of being stuck in this town, he only stayed because of the basement in the school. He could live there forever if Evangeline let him.
With a sigh, Caesar's eyes rest on the the male demon, getting enough of his scent in his nose to know that he was a demon as he was. He hadn't noticed him before but that was mainly because he acted like the humans. In Casar's book, that only made him worse than a human themself.
After finishing the sandwich,Caesar leans back in his chair and looks up at the ceiling, his eyes closing briefly. "This town sucks."

♠ Yuusuke Haku ♠ Demon ♠ ♠ ♠ ________________________________ ♠ ♠ ♠ Yuusuke seemed to enjoy his talk with the bird. He had learned many things about him already in such a short amount of time. The bird had two children that lay cuddled in his nest back home, along with a loving wife. He flew around the town everyday for bits and pieces of food he could bring to his family. The bird also told him that it was becoming hard for him to find food. "How sad..." Yuusuke had thought, but he steadily continued his conversation with the bird.
After a while, Yuusuke and the bird ended their conversation. The bird then flew off, feeling hopeful. Yuusuke gave a gentle wave goodbye, and he turned back to his food. He finished his sandwich up, but his drink was still quite full. Yuusuke looked out the window again, his trash in a small pile and his coke in a hand. Yuusuke sips his coke gradually, enjoying himself. He begins to wonder what he'll draw next. A flower, a person, animals, etc... He can never seem to decide. Yuusuke makes a realization that he'll need more art supplies, and he nearly coughs on his coke.
After recovering, Yuusuke turns back to the male demon, his throat okay. He gives a sigh, as to why the demon wouldn't want to talk to another demon. But, Yuusuke was never one to start a conversation, much less talk to people. After all, they all seemed to think of him weirdly. He wonders if the male thinks he is not worthy of being a demon, or a memory stuck in the demon's head. Surprisingly, Yuusuke laughs at his thoughts, and a grin appears on his face. "Why not?" Yuusuke thinks. His eyes suddenly turn a bloody red, and his aura changes. People nearby Yuusuke see this and freak out. They leave the store quickly, trying to erase Yuusuke's eyes from their minds. Yuusuke just looks at the male demon as if everything is normal. ♠ ♠ ♠ ________________________________ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ "The barrier I set cannot be broken"

He frowns as he stares up at the ceiling, getting this nagging feeling that he was being watched carefully by someone.
Sure enough, when he finally sat in his chair correctly, he noticed the red eyed demon staring him down. It was slowly starting to annoy him. "I hear that if you take a picture, it will last much longer."

♠ Yuusuke Haku ♠ Demon ♠ ♠ ♠ ________________________________ ♠ ♠ ♠ Yuusuke smiled triumphantly, for he had gotten the attention of the other male demon. "Pictures might be great and all, but if they aren't by hand, they aren't as creative." Yuusuke replied to the demon, his opinion mixed with his answer. "Besides, I don't want a picture of you. I don't go for heteros." Yuusuke added, his smile still on his face. Yuusuke seemed to be having fun, slightly messing with the demon. It was something to pass the time before Yuusuke would draw again or get into another fight.
Yuusuke changed his eye color back. He took a sip of his coke before he turned back to the male demon. "You don't like humans right?" he asked him, trying to confirm his inferences. "Oh, and ya got a name?" Yuusuke added. He took a sip of his coke again, and stared around the cafe. "Humans are such delicate creatures..." he thought, and his mind began to wonder.
Yuusuke's thoughts wondered to his deceased lover. He had been around 13 when his deceased lover came to his home. He was handsome; long silver hair and deep gray eyes. Yuusuke had fallen in love quickly. The man was around 19, but that didn't stop Yuusuke form getting close to him. The man had shown Yuusuke how to open his demonic heart. Yuusuke didn't know how to handle it first, but his wall slowly came down. Love blossomed for the both of them, and they were happy, until his lover died. Yuusuke was devastated, and his wall came right back up. But, Yuusuke began to draw even more beautiful pictures than before. He did it in honor of his lover, and as a reminder.
Yuusuke's memories slowly drifted away as he came back to reality. "I wonder if someone will ever break this barrier, just like you did..." Yuusuke thought, thinking of his deceased lover. He shook his head, as if to stay in the real world. He looked at the male demon again, his mind slightly fuzzy. "Well?" he asked, waiting for an answer. Yuusuke didn't really care if the male answered. He suddenly felt the urge to just...hide. Yuusuke wanted to be away from people and society. He wanted to curl up in a ball and feel nothing. But, Yuusuke stayed put, his mind winning over his body. ♠ ♠ ♠ ________________________________ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ "The barrier I set cannot be broken"

Azalea basically skipped into the cafe, pulling along Terra. Happily, she sat herself down at a window seat, shutting her eyes and breathing in deeply, enjoying the sunlight. Much like a sunflower, she lifted her face toward the rays of light, basking in it. Remembering that she had a friend across from her, Lea opened her eyes, blinking a couple times before looking over at her pink-haired friend. With an awkward smile, the rose demon rested her chin on the palm of her hand. "So," she began, green eyes sparkling. "You have some questions for me?"

Terra dragged behind Lea into the the cafe, the sugary aroma filling her nose. It smelled delicious, making her mouth water. As Lea chose their seat, she looked around. The atmosphere was soothing and comfortable. A small grin found it's way to her face as she sat down and looked to her friend. Lea was basking in the sunlight. She resembled a flower very well in Terra's opinion. "Getting some sun?" She asked, laughing softly. Once regaining her friend's attention, she pulled out her notebook and scribbled notes here and there. "Right, yes. I have a few. To start off, how old are you?" Not wanting to sound rude, the bookworm shook her hands quickly. "N-not trying to be rude, just for the sake of knowledge. You don't have to answer." After a moment of feeling like an idiot, the smell of desert came back to Terra and her stomach growled again. "Another question. What do you want to order?"The bookworm said blushing.

Azalea frowned in thought as she tried to count the months, for in all actuality, in human years, she wasn't that old. Her brow furrowed in thought, her lip taking on a form of a pout. Now remembering the exact amount of days, she replaced her quizzical expression with her normal smile. "I don't mind answering any question of yours, so no worries! Anyway, in human years, I am a year and eight months old! I used to age a whole lot faster than humans. But then the witch that raised me cast this neat little spell on me that, when I was the equivalent of a seventeen year old, I can live forever!~" The girl said gleefully. When she heard Terra's stomach growl, Lea giggled softly. "And I just want some form of sugar, because it takes a lot out of me to make glucose, and some water. Maybe like sugar water. Do they serve that? I hope they do." Lea said in a rush, stopping herself to take a couple breaths. It was in her nature to talk at a rapid speed whenever she was excited about anything.

Giving Lea time to think, Terra scribbled more questions into her small notebook. Once her friend started to answer, she had begun writing those words down too. "Only a year and eight months? My, you make me feel old." Terra joked, then her laughed silenced once Lea said she could live forever. A wave of emotions hit the girl and she stopped writing, beginning to frown slightly. "Forever, huh?" She mumbled softly to herself. Azalea didn't know this yet because she was so young, but forever is a very lonely thing.To watch everyone you've ever known age so quickly and die can cause you to distance yourself from others. It's a very lonesome life to live, and Terra of all people would know. Hundreds of years she had walked this earth, losing anyone and everyone she cared about. Terra felt a weight cling to her heart and pitied the girl, unaware of what the future held. Yet despite the sorrow, she could also feel...relief? Or was it pure joy? Maybe because she had finally found someone else who could accompany her along this lonesome life. Could that be selfish of her? Was it wrong for her to think such a way? It was unlikely the rose demon would agree to forever befriend her, considering they met not too long ago. After a few moments, Terra herself could feel the dark gloomy cloud around her and quickly plastered a smile on her face. "R-right, sorry about that. I'll get you something." Terra stood up and rushed over to the counter feeling awkward. Had I bothered Lea? Hopefully not. The blackblood demon waited her turn patiently, drawing a rose on the corner of her notebook. Once it was her turn, she ordered a sugar-water (extra sugar) for Lea and a chocolate-strawberry sunday for herself. Carrying everything on a tray back to the table, the bookworm focused hard on keeping a smile. "Here you go" She said to her friend, handing her the sugar water and a crazy-straw. "They have those for the kids but I thought you would like one so... I can grab another regular one if you want?" The girl said sheepishly, hoping she hadn't indirectly insulted Lea by calling her childish. "So umm..." She began, flipping pages in her notebook. "What abilities do you have? I witnessed what happened at the lake, so I'm curious. Is that all you can do?" Her friendly eyes slowly became more serious, and Terra had started to act like how she always does. Thirsty for knowledge, and nothing more.

Azalea watched Terra's rather depressing reaction to having been told that Azalea could live forever. Immediately, Lea felt as if she said something wrong, and her eyes began to tear up in shame. She could sense some form of pity and depression emanating off her pink-haired friend. Silently, she watched as Terra forced a smile on her face, her expression a mask of what Azalea could feel. Quietly, Lea whispered to herself, "How long have you been so sad?" SHaking her head, Lea forced herself to stop thinking so negatively. Quickly, before Terra returned, Lea wiped the back of her hand against her eyes, wiping away the tears that were beginning to form. The rose demon had a strong empathetic connection to all her friends, so it was only natural for Lea to react to her friend's melancholy reaction in this manner. Azalea's smile then returned as soon as she saw the crazy-straw. Still a bit naive toward the world, Lea took her sugar water, examining the straw that had been placed in her glass. The blonde demon looked up at Terra when she said that she could get another one. "You don't have to do that. I love this weird straw design. Sorta like an abstract sculpture... I would hate to use such a unique thing." Said she, gently picking up the straw and drying it, then lifting it up to examine it with her still naive eyes. Lea then looked back at Terra when she asked her next question. Azalea placed the straw on her napkin and thought of the best ways to word her abilities. "Oo, what can I do? Well, you saw a great deal of it already. I normally eat like a plant does, I can talk to plants and understand them, and I--myself-- am like a walking, talking plant. I normally secrete toxins that I can force myself to not have. It's a really deadly toxin, too, so I really don't like it. Violence normally isn't my thing..." Said Lea, trailing off. She left out the part where she would immediately try to seek out and destroy anything that enraged her to her breaking point. "Anyway, I have this pheromone-thing-a-ma-jigs that I can breathe out and release. With them, I can control someone's mind." As Lea uttered the word 'mind,' her voice shook, much like how the stereotypical halloween ghost would talk. With a giggle, she continued on, "Because I was originally an actual rose, I have a knowledge about plants that exceeds anyone. Because I was once a true plant, but I was granted the gift of animation by the witch that raised me through an incantation and some demon's blood. So if you need to know anything about plants; I'm your go-to gal. Because I got these smart-icle particles that make my brain far more capable of holding knowledge than most beings." As the rose demon spoke more and more, she seemed to have gained a more mature tone of voice as she tried her best to explain. Then, her mature facade faded when she smiled brightly upon placing her crazy-straw back into her sugar water and watching as she drank the water. As extremely intelligent and genius the girl may be, she always seems to prove that there is still much more for her to learn.
