---Iorek Latvi *Izzet*
Gender:
---Male.
Race:
---Meister/Magic Animal (Polar Bear)
Partner:
---Karisutaru Minamino *Kari*
Weapon/Magic/Animal Style:
---Polar Bear that can take on human form for the academy. Has magic enough for the change in form as well as the ability to maintain the illusion of clothing in human form and dense armor in bear form. Although the human form fails at disguising his actual weight and affects his surroundings with his actual +/- 1800lbs. His offensive magic is in the ability to manipulate water molecules at will. Freezing or Vapor in a moment's notice. Allowing him to make quick items of necessity as well as create intensely thick and humid mists as a means of cover and/or escape. With the guise active he still has surprising strength and use of his senses, but they are capped at about 25% of what they are when released. Has the ability to smell another's soul over seeing it, and can gather just as much information on it in such a way.
Age:
---43, but the magic prolongs his life, the human form does not age since it is technically an illusion and maintains the appearance of a 19 year old boy.
Alliance:
---Neutral.
Description:

---This is the form that everyone sees in casual passing. The illusion makes him an average 5ft.7in. While his clothes are just an illusion they take on the feel of fabric and behave as such, but just like in the case of his weight his natural body heat emits through. Making it difficult to be close to without becoming heated yourself. Because he is a bear, hearing and his sense of smell is the strongest over sight. So using his own magic he creates a pair of thin, ice contacts that act as they should to correct his vision whilst human. His hair reflects the natural color of his fur, and is also just as thick and coarse as his fur. His voice is considerably lighter than that of his natural form. His eyes are a vivid shade of green in this form, so much so that they've been reported to him by Kari that they're how she's found him during the night. His teeth, like his hair and weight, betray his illusion where they to display traits closer to his true form. They're not obvious unless he smiles, but they are just as sharp as his predator alter-ego. The head-phones and music player was a gift from Kari on his birthday, information she had to pry away from him to get, and is only thing about him in this form that's not part of his concealment.

---In full bear form standing at full height he is a towering 9ft.7in. with a shoulder height of 5ft.4in. In his true form he casts off the charm of the corrective vision for with his cap released his natural senses are at full strength and does not need to see his target to hit it. His voice is deeper in this form, so much so that you can feel it in the cobbles that make up the street. His armor is the same kind of magic as his clothes, in that they are a physical manifestation of his magic and the take on the properties of what they appear to be. It shifts in plates and clangs as he moves, but unlike his clothing that require no attention to maintain, his armor is tied to his confidence. As he begins to lose that it makes the armor appear to crack or weaken. His eyes shine a more pure silver in this form which only further hints at how bad his sight truly is.
History:
---As a cub he wandered continuously though the wilds of the arctic circle. One eventful day he tried his paw at fishing and caught far more than he expected. The fish he caught that day had more magic to it than was known to those parts and had an odd glow about it. Being a cub and only really wanted to know he could fish rather than want food he toyed with it. Because of it's magic it survived out of the water far longer than a fish ever should and it was the cub's claws that ultimately did it in. Upon it's death it released it's soul, awestruck the cub attempted to catch it. The cub ultimately caught it in a pounce and without meaning to absorbed it into himself.
---As the cub grew it began to grasp an understanding of what the fish had given him. When aggravated the ice and snow around him would flash melt leaving a circle behind. When frightened he left a trail of newly grown shards behind in the wake of his paws. The ultimate understanding that the reason for these changes in the water forms around him was the same reason that the fish survived so long would not dawn on him for sometime.
---As a full grown male he wandered the great circle. The magic he now had a full understanding of allowed him to wander longer than it would have taken any other bear to be born and die of old age, yet he was still as youthful as ever. One day somewhere over the Canadian territories he encountered a native boy stalking his prey. In an attempt to avoid being attacked the bear tried to circle wide around behind the boy, but was seen through an ill placed clam in the wind. The boy's reaction to seeing a polar bear behind him he'd only just noticed was typical. Typical in the sense of turning to fend off the bear all to convincingly that it startled the bear. In an act of self-defense in their frozen world the bear used his ability to force shards to grow from the ground under the boy's next and final step. The origins of the idea that crossed the bear's mind in that second are a mystery to even himself to this date. The bear quickly pressed his brow to that of the boy's. their faces pressed so closely that the bear could see the faint lights in the boy's eyes still fading. With his ability the bear created an ice channel connecting his temples to that of the boy's. This allowed what brain activity the boy still had to be conducted and passed through to the bear. In that Instance the bear knew everything that the boy did. Every thought, every skill, every dream the boy ever had were now just as if they were always the bear's. Even his name. No, not the boy's name. Not anymore. Iorek Latvi, yes this was the bear's new name; the only name he had ever had. He was certain that these were his own memories, for it did not make sense for them to be someone else's. Someone? The next time Iorek opened his eyes he was staring into the cold dead eyes of the boy, but he was no longer looking down at him. Looking down he saw that he too was wearing what the boy was, equipped as the boy. In his left hand was the bow that was pointed at him not moments ago. Hands? The imprint of the boy's memories had given him yet another ability, one that had made him no longer just another bear. He was now in every way, but the soul, as the boy was.
---Iorek wanted nothing more than to continue to wander as he always had, and with his new found tolerance for warmer climates allowed him to venture further and further from home. He eventually found his way to heavily populated, human rich areas. Staying in his human form allowed him to interact with them, and over the years his face may have never changed, but his mind was constantly growing with the life experience all around him. The memories of the boy always seemed to circle around a similar topic; weapons. And just as everything else he had gained, those interests became his own and he began to seek out new weapons to delve into. Crossing paths with many stray weapons, none of which were a proper match to him, he discovered that the boy had been a not-yet-discovered meister and therefore had made him a meister. It was in this discovery that he learned about the Death Weapon Meister Academy, and began to make travels to the academy to better understand what it is to be a meister.
---Arriving at the academy's surrounding township Iorek thought it best to familiarize himself with the town and gather more information before advancing further. Knowing he would be at least here for an extended stay, Iorek took on several odd labor jobs to keep himself fed for the local shops and became pretty well known by all the Keeps, if only by his first name. One night after blowing that days earnings at an establishment he frequented on him supper, that despite being known for it's generous servings was never quite enough, he figured he would simply head for the pier and swim for his his usual rock cluster to sleep off just how hungry he still was. But on this night e was met with a disturbance in the street ahead of him. With every step closer the sounds of an active fight grew louder, as did his excitement to witness a true meister fight so close to the academy. An odd aroma of singe and metal fillings hung in the air around the fight. Iorek watched on as the fight continued; making adjustments to his own frost-charmed contacts to gain a more telescopic perspective and began looking for minor details in the fighting style of the pair against the Kishin. What he found was unsettling. The singe was emitting from the meister's thickly gloved hands, showing signs of the leather strongly heated against the handle of the scythe. And as for the source of the scent of the fillings, to Iorek's horror, was coming from the scythe's sweeping edge. He stood there" baring witness to the grotesque stance the meister was using, causing the blade to be used ineffectually and resulting in the resistance. After several minutes of this abuse the pairing conquered their adversary through what could only be perceived as sheer determination. No sooner than the red soul appear did the scythe change back to it's human form. A girl's form, with an array of shining red lashes along her forearms that mirrored the damage along her blade moments ago. Iorek could hear their post fight arguing and became so irritated at the meister that he broke from the shadows and confronted the boy.
---In the moments before the meister acknowledged Iorek standing behind him, almost all the information about whether or not they were truly compatible was spilled out by the quick-to-anger meister. About how "it must be her fault for not being sharp enough," and how "you get heavier and heavier every time i grasp your handle...it would be different if you had a more useful form than a dull scythe and a dumb bladed bow." It was as the very moment of punctuation that Iorek took his stand by parting the boy's hair with an arrow let loose form the very bow that he'd carried everyday since leaving the great circle. Iorek was met with angry fist that made a solid connection with his jaw, and once the force had returned back up into the boys arm did Iorek speak. He pointed out the usefulness of a bow and how for the type of scythe she is your stance and arm placement is horribly wrong. It didn't really matter if any of this was heard through the pounding of the boy's angry heart in his ears, for Iorek already had in mind how he wanted this encounter to end. Iorek Issued a challenge to the meister, that if he couldn't damage him then he would be compliant with allowing her to choose if she would stay or become his weapon as he joined the academy in the following week. The hot-headed boy was quick to accept without judging the situation. Upon which Iorek in a smooth motion shed his human form and grew to his full height. Armor replaced clothing and fur replaced skin. Iorek then sat back as if waiting for the next transit, paws in his lap starring at the boy. Waiting patiently on the boy who had already grabbed her arm, forcing her to change, and was charging forward. The blade struck plate, and the scythe was thrown as he flew back. Iorek caught her and set her down so she could change. It was then that he learned her name, and it was then that he walked Kari home.
Personality:
---Confident, and more so when in his true form when the cap is removed and he feels more like himself again. But struggles with words and often chooses not to speak rather than say the wrong thing. Only to his partner does the words seem to flow smoothly. Never willing to back away from a fight, even one that does not concern him. A bear's sense of humor: laughing at things that may not be funny to just anyone else, and may find fault with certain uses of words. Always hungry and never seems to be cool enough to be comfortable. So much so that the coldest setting in the shower is still not cold enough. Feels the need to favor haste over careful plotting for fear of an opportunity closing. Display's higher chivalry than expected for being a creature of instinct.
Orientation & Lover:
---Openly Bi; nothing exists between him and Kari at first but there's plenty of potential for development between them.
