The attack was swift and brutal. though there wasn't much that the village could do to before the beast reached them; even with the aid of the Sensors that kept guard over there boarders. Through quick planning on the power of the Jounin who live in the village along with the Clan lord himself the Beast was able to be pushed back from whatever corner of hell that it had come from. Though that wasn't until the Village was almost completely Leveled to the ground. While the possibility to rebuild was there... The severity of the situation would be clear the moment that you noticed that even the clan lord himself was working to clear the rubble. At the moment the future of the Village,... and the whole clan itself was unknown Though first thing was first. Treat the injured, and Bury the dead.

"Let no good deed go unpunished,"Umbra Uchiha The urge to s**t bricks passed when Shouta left them to their own devices at the what was left of the main gate of the Clan. Umbra surveyed the area with stoicism worthy of the militant Uchiha, she gazed upon the site of what was left of the ruins of the once proud and noble village. Umbra supressed emotions that would have perhaps driven a lesser person to hysterics at seeing such a sight, she knew that buildings could be rebuilt, fortunes remade but the lives that were lost were not so easily replaceable. Umbra turned to face Senri, she too was in control of her emotions. It was hard for Umbra to read her but she didn’t need to, really. Umbra straightened up a little as though she was going to say something but then relaxed as she felt that it wasn’t her place to suggest a course of action. ”I’ll start over there ma’am, where there are currently no soldier sorting through the wreckage. I would like to request the presence of a sensor type to help me look for the living and a medic to treat the critically injured. Regardless, if these things are not available to my disposal then I shall make do. If you need me, you’ll know where I am.” Umbra waited for Senri to say anything that she needed to say, either instructions for later or otherwise, but afterwards she quickly made her way to the location that she indicated to Senri to start looking for survivors. After some quick looking she discovered a small child pinned under some wreckage, Umbra squatted down and assessed the situation, this was going to be trouble, but there seemed to a large slab of concrete that was preventing the kid from being crushed. Umbra looked at the panic stricken child and her eyes softened.”Hey there, do you like to play pretend games?” Umbra asked in a calming voice, the child calmed down a little bit and nodded their head. ”Alright then, when I life this up, I want you to pretend you’re a snake and crawl out, okay?” yeah, easier said than done, Umbra examined the building once more and worried her lip a little, move the building, that was going to be easier said than done, she really was sure if that was going to be possible. The stone that was on top of the boy was in once piece, so if they could somehow manage to get a multitude of people they could life it. She knew that they would be too few to help her out, and the building might give way before then. Umbra moved towards the stone and squatted down to grasp the large stone slab. This was foolish, she couldn’t budge this… not on her own. Instinctively, Umbra’s mind was starting to reach out into the muscles of her body. Umbra’s chakra network slowly started to push chakra into her adrenal glands, her body started to push some chakra infused adrenaline throughout her body, her heart rate increased, drawing in more of the adrenaline and spreading it around her body, her blood vessels constricted, sending the chakra infused hormones coursing throughout her body. The hemoglobin absorbed the charka and then started to carry it through her body. The Hemoglobin passed on the oxygen and the extra payload into Umbra’s bone marrow and into her striated muscles along her body. Umbra took a deep breath and started to try and lift. Though it wasn’t near enough to accomplish what she wanted just yet.
The nuclei of her striated muscles started to break down and synthesis the chakra that the blood brought to it and started to distribute and spread it out of the length and breadth of her muscles, the body started to pass on the synthetic enchantment to the fascia of the body, to where the veins and vessels were to strength and protect them from tearing as the muscles were pushed beyond mortal capabilities. The lymph systems and the nerve supply absorbed the chakra, helping to spread the chakra that was steadily pumping through her body, though her body slowly trickled the chakra into her adrenal glands the fact that the system was working in co-existence with her body meant that the output was far more natural and therefore could be increased in far greater measure. Umbra could feel her muscle swell a little, she gritted her teeth and heaved on the rock that was almost crushing down on the child that was underneath it, she could hear the shifting of rock as it tumbled down, she could feel the rubble starting to shift but it wasn’t enough yet. Sweat beaded on her brow and the veins in her arms were bulging under the strain. Instinct compelled her body to continue with the production of adrenaline fused chakra into the body, Umbra could feel the weight getting a little liter as she continued. Her muscles, though still feeling like they were on fire, were feeling less and less of the strain as she continued to work on her self-appointed goals. She could feel her heart wanting to explode from her chest from all the adrenaline and pressure that her body was straining to work out of itself. Her chakra system almost seemed to develop a mind of its own as it began to push itself into her bloodstream, cutting down on the toxic adrenaline that was slowly eating away at its own body. The body needed to act in a self-preserving manner that needed to cut down on the adrenaline that accumulated stress that poisoned the body. Subconscious instinct started to become a conscious embodying as Umbra started to concentrate on putting chakra into her muscles to see if she could get more strength out of her own body, more out of desperation and a need to be of use to the clan than any sort of personal selfish need for improvement. Umbra could feel the chakra start to warm up her muscles as she was started to knead the chakra together into the contracting fibrils of her muscle bundles. Her biceps brachii and triceps brachii were starting to be able to life more without as much effort, her biceps femoris and gastrocnemius were starting to cool off. Umbra was starting to put some effort into making her chakra more… potent… before she was started to put through her body. She wasn’t used to doing things like this, but she was still willing to experiment on herself for the sake of the clan. She could hear the building starting to lift a little more, it wasn’t a huge lift and the child was still stuck underneath but the sounds of rubble shifting slightly away from the both of them was a reassuring sound for the young warrioress. She didn’t pat herself on the back for very long, she still had a lot of work to do with this in order to make of some use for it for this mission. With so few ninja here it was all the more important for her to accomplish this so that things could go faster, and then they could get out of here into a safer place.
Umbra closed her eyes and took a soothing breath, now wasn’t the time to panic or let her emotions get the better of her. Someday, she might need to be in charge of supporting others and issuing orders, being panicky didn’t solve the problem. Emotions clouded judgements and neither did it help one control her chakra. After she calmed herself a little more, she started to concentrate on the chakra flow into the muscles, ‘thickening’ her chakra to supply more power to her body with less chakra, using precision instead of just mindless application. She used her chakra to fill in her contracting fibrils of her muscles to continue to strengthen and feed her chakra enchantments. The more she manipulated and ease more chakra into her muscles to allow them to get accustomed to the feeling of having the chakra infused within, the more she did, the more she did this, the higher that the rock lifted off of the ground. Umbra grunted and then continued to synthesis the chakra in her body and feed it though her body as fast as she could, she could feel the richness of the thicker chakra work its way through her body and started to weave with her muscles in a more cellular level. She continued to put chakra into the osteocytes, strengthening the calcium in her bones to an even greater level so that her bones didn’t snap under the new weight that her muscles could lift. The building finally started to budge a more than a few inches, Umbra could feel the swelling of power that the new technique brought with, the building was starting to lift more and more to the point that the slab of the building was lifting clear off of the ground the child scampered off but Umbra seemed rather unsatisfied she leaned the stone slab to the side and then placed it neatly to the side where it wasn’t going to cause any more headaches for them in the future. She took a few steps forwards and started to shift more huge rocks with relative ease now that she seemed to acquire this strength. Honestly, she was still trying to get used to it, she was experimenting with the various doses of chakra to the body and the muscles, she was starting to get a much better feeling of how this chakra enhanced strength really worked. She continued to experiment more and more until her grasp on the chakra strength was like second nature to her, a flexing and trying to increase the potency of her chakra so that it didn’t train her so much. It was something that was going to have to be experimented on further. She looked around and noted that she would have plenty of time to experiment and find that comfort zone, though she wondered if she could make herself even stronger with this sort of jutsu. She continued to focus her chakra into her various muscles in her body. She retracted all the chakra strength into her system again and decided to try and build it up from scratch. She started with her bones in strengthening the calcium, she also moved onto the tendons, the blood vessels and the nerves so that they wouldn’t be rend to shreds while she lifted the heavier loads. She closed her eyes for a moment and timed herself to see how quickly that she could establish these chakra adjustments to her body. She was recoiled the chakra, then re-established the reinforcement, doing this quickly time and time again until she could do it in a heartbeat. Next she closed her eyes and focused only on the muscles that she would need in order to clear away the heavier debris that could be potentially dangerous or impossible to lift under normal circumstances. She flexed her arm while she looked for more people who were trapped underneath the rubble."Let no evil deed go unrewarded." ((Chakra Strength:1501/1500 B-rank earned [specialty bonus included]))

"Let no good deed go unpunished,"Umbra Uchiha Literally strong arming her way through the wreckage, Umbra was continuing with experimenting with her newly discovered chakra strength she was making slow but steady progress with unraveling how to use it efficiently. She was getting pretty good at distributing her chakra to the various muscles in her body, she had gotten quicker at the who procedure and she could even use the chakra to strengthen her bones at the same time, though this was still not the potential that could be fully achieved, and Umbra knew it. As she lifted and sorted through the rubble and freed the trapped people… or pulled out their bodies… she subconsciously made some notes that were stored away for later about what was working with what she was doing and what was simply consuming chakra at a needless rate. She made sure to give herself plenty of small breaks so that she could draw in more chakra. She had her limits, and if she could get away with not using that technique she wouldn’t use it. Though with the severity of the situation those moments were few and fairly far between. It was hard to describe, but her chakra system felt… strained… almost, not in a bad way, but in a way that it felt when you exercised for a while and your muscles somehow felt stronger. Umbra was still not used to using her chakra, to be honest, she was still building the potency of her chakra with new and different jutsus, her body was well maintained, being a taijutsuist, she had a hell of a lot of stamina. Using her chakra in such a fine manner was rather foreign to her, but it felt good doing it. Umbra focused more chakra into her right arm, the chakra flow started by strengthening her pectorals and then slowly made its way around to her deltoid then down her biceps and triceps and her tendons were reinforced as well. Blood pumped steadily to her limb as she lifted the massive chunk of concrete off to the side and away from an entrance that was underneath, a few heads popped out then quickly scampered away to the safe point after Umbra informed them of the safest place for them. As she continued going through the rubble, she practiced applying various depths to her strength, for the ‘smaller’ stuff she lessened the effect, for the larger stuff she tried to push the boundaries of her abilities. It was true that she had a limit to her strength, though for the most part, the boundaries of her strength would be untestable here, most of the rubble was too ‘small’ to actually be able to test her limit. Still, the workout that she was giving herself was damn good, and the fact that she as learning the finer points of chakra control. She still had a very long way to go until she was an expert, but little by little she was starting to understand a little better.
Despite the fatigue that was starting to gnaw at her, Umbra continued her best to dig out the trapped and bring the dead to a pile in the middle of an opening where streets used to crossroad. She would put them to flame later, at the moment though, she kept up her physical tasks. She ventured a moment to rest, placing her hand against the remains of a building while she caught her breath. Her muscles were aching something fierce. She looked over at the debris and sighed, there was so much more to do… but for right now at least could probably give herself a bit of a break and let her muscles cool down. She closed her eyes and relaxed her muscles for a while. She needed to be careful, too much use of this technique might actually damage her striation and Contracting fibrils if she used it too long, creating a wear and tear effect that could potentially lead to some deep trouble further on down the line. She could feel her muscles cooling down from the warmth of the chakra that she was putting into them, as it slowly wore off Umbra wondered if there wasn’t another trick to this? If she knew someone who could actually do this technique then maybe she could learn from them. But as far as she knew there was nobody here who knew this. She wasn’t ignorant enough to think that she invented this technique, she wouldn’t have been the first one to think about infusing her muscles with the chakra of her body. After a few more minutes of relaxing, taking in some water and some rations that she didn’t leave without so that she could build up a little more chakra before she threw herself back into her work. Umbra closed her eyes and brought her hands up to sign, she built up some more chakra so that she didn’t feel so drained, she closed her eyes and concentrated on the potency of her chakra before she worked it over the rest of her body. She tried to work her chakra so that she was able to get more from her muscles without as much chakra. She tried to thin her supply a little bit more to see if the enhancements could be kept with as little as she was giving them. If she could get the same result as she did now with minimal chakra, it would be to her great advantage. She slowly, little by little started to gently allow a little bit of chakra in at a time into her muscular system without giving herself too much. She started off with a little bit at first as she went to the next building to check things out. She fumbled over a bit of the rubble, hearing no cries for help as she went. When she came to find what might be an entrance way that was caved down upon, she tried using the chakra to its minimum effect while trying to get the maximum benefit.
Umbra pushed against the huge rocks that had been pinning the door and experimenting with the chakra that was being pushed throughout her body, after a little bit of playing around with the percentages and ratios that she needed to get her goal of being able to min/max her abilities, she continued to clear the way for the wounded and the trapped, she thought that she was making good progress thanks to her strength. When she got to the great wall of the Uchiha and the residential area that lay in its shadow things changed a little bit, thick chunks of the wall were toppled over and on the houses, reducing them to gravel. She walked up to the huge boulders and looked them up and down before seeking to try out something different, she wasn’t going to be able to move those rocks easily, so why not try and destroy them. Umbra gave a few tries to the stone, noting that it wasn’t enough to break it, despite her strength. Umbra’s stoicism was not budged though, she tried a different tactic and focused her chakra into one fist, if she was able to shatter the stone with that then she could forgo the grunting and pushing to achieve her objective. Umbra concentrated before hauling back and delivering a haymaker to the stone, she rock shuttered and split, though it didn’t totally give into her attack, the reinforcement of her bones prevented the breaking, and nothing was damaged in her hand either, that was good… though her hand did throb a little bit due to the blow. Umbra paused for a moment before repeating the action a few more times and finally having the rock break into more manageable pieces. It was not the outcome that she wanted, though she did have a bit of a brainstorm while she was repeatedly punching the rock, what if she… ‘pulsed’ her chakra at the point of impact? Would that make things go more smoothly than what she was doing now? It was worth as shot. Umbra pulled back and then once more threw her fist against the stone, upon impact she pushed her chakra outwards to see if that was going to be able to do what she was hoping for. With a deep rumble and cracking, the stone splintered into much more manageable chunks to be hauled away later when the clean-up crew arrived. Umbra wondered just how much more she could do with this. She approached other large hunk of stone and repeated the action once more. Instead of just pulsing it, she dispersed the chakra. There was almost the sounds of an explosion as the stone gave way and was reduced to little more than fist sized stones. Umbra blinked a few times and then looked down at her hand, wheels started to turn in her mind as she began to evaluate what had just occurred. If she could turn this into a real fighting style she would be able to end things very, very quickly."Let no evil deed go unrewarded." "Let no good deed go unpunished,"Umbra Uchiha Umbra had cleared out a great number of obstacles while she was digging through the wreckage that was once their village. After she pretty well cleared the street she was approached by a few jounin. They pretty well told her to take a bit of a break, get rested up and then come back to her duty of helping with the village. Umbra noted quite a few other shinobi leaving the area, their faces were haggard and worn out form their work. Yes, a short break to remove the sights of these horrific images where in order. Umbra followed the group to an area that was pretty quiet, away from the village and set up in places to train in private, by the looks of it. Umbra, though stoic in her posture was still rather troubled by what she saw, where would they go now? What would they do? It was pretty foul fate that had been delivered to them. Umbra, at first, tried to just relax for a while, but she wasn’t having any luck with it. So, she decided to do what usually took her mind off of her troubles, she found a quiet spot and set up a large number of training dummies. The best way to take your mind off your troubles was to focus it on other things. Umbra concentrated on what was around her, she had claimed a sparring set up that was more for ranged combat practice, at least that’s what she assumed considering the amount of dummies that were in the area, she had positioned them so that they were circling her for ‘easier’ access to them when she was polishing up her seven sword dance. She closed her eyes for a few moments and concentrated on what was before her, calming her mind and getting herself focused on what she needed to do in order to complete her self-tasked goal. Her fingers found the hilts to her swords and with deceptively delicate fingers she gathered her swords and launched them into the air. Without even opening her eyes she spun on her heel and gathered her swords in various nooks and crannies of her body, ready for her barrage to begin. She opened her piercing blue eyes and kicked off into the air with the one leg that she balanced upon. Spinning around for a moment she got her bearings, she landed performing a downwards slashing strike on her target dummy, she flipped the blades that were in her hand into the air so that they performed a counter clockwise spin while she used her hands to spin her body around, letting the blades that where in between her knees to disembowel with savage grace. Her movement didn’t stop or falter, it was important for the style to keep having a pace to it, in keeping with pace she pushed off with her hand and flipped upwards grabbing her spinning blades in the process and dancing to the left to get into what would be an awkward spot for an opponent to react to if he was following her around. She kept in mind the most fatal points of the human body to damage. Heart, lungs, kidney, the 6 major arteries in the human body, liver, spleen, jugular… her opponents were unlike these dummies in that they were going to be moving around and more or less guarding this fatal points, she had to learn to be quick and slip in strikes were they were going to do the most damage. The most advantage that her fighting style hand was that she was able to keep her opponents guessing where she was going to strike and from where. As she kept moving she kept making a challenge to try and square in on those vital points without having to stop and get her bearings while she was doing it. It was important for her style of fighting to keep moving or keep the opponent moving so that they couldn’t find an opening to exploit or a means or even have a change to defend themselves. She pushed herself to do better, get stronger, do things faster, more accurate. She danced with her blades, she pushed blades in from different angles, experimented with differences in her balance while she was flipping around and trying to run though her mind what she would do if her opponent did something unexpected while she was trying to pierce a vital organ. When war came around, one couldn’t screw around for any length of time, one minute wasted was a minute that could cost you your life or the mission itself. It was hard to understand what was worse, death or dishonour, neither of them were suitable options for her to take in the end, so she would continue to work on this for as long as necessary till she got it right, till she could easily strike and puncture vitals with little effort even if her opponent used all four of his limbs to block and deflect as many of her blades as they could. She wasn’t here to play games, she was here to survive, to find that thing that made her whole. She was here to find her battleground. Umbra slashed and punctured with her blades at the straw dummy till it started to disintegrate, straw and wood began seeping through the cracks of the gaping wounds that were inflicted, though it wasn’t enough, she wasn’t satisfied with what she was doing just yet. She still had a lot to learn, a lot to accomplish before she was even confident that she was ready and polished enough with her skills. She continued her dance of savage grace, she continued to chip away at the dummy, she kept her eyes on it like a hawk, she knew that it wouldn’t move but at the same time it was important for her to train herself to use her ability to predict the movements and the actions of the others by reading their body language, reading how their shoulders move, their hips and the way that they would transfer weight along their body for what was either going to be an attack or defense. It would do her good to remember that such things were going to be a benefit to her in the end, she would work more on that a little later though, right now she was more than happy to work on her blades and their accuracy when piercing, polishing her skills and inventing new ‘to her’ methods of creating even more grievous injury to the body while doing her seven sword acrobatics. Her pace was dizzying, fairly quick and getting more and more accurate with her piercings and blows while still in constant motion. Sweat started to bead ever so lightly onto her brow as she continued to go. Her stoic expression never faltering despite the pressures that she was forcing on herself. She had no room in her mind for doubt, there was nothing to be gained from it and if she didn’t understand something than she would just move on, work on it till she did or ask someone who would know something more about it, so there was little need for such things. She was raised in an environment where practice made perfect, and this was no exception. More straw spilled from the dummy and more of the wood skeleton was exposed to as she continued to rain down blows and lash out with her weapons. Twists and more complete slashes were starting to appear with more frequency in her attack as she was starting to get more and more use to them. Whatever she was doing in her mind, it seemed to translate well into the actually physical manifestation, though some attempts and actions were never actually followed up with as she abandoned such an attack or combination that failed to produce the results she was after.
The world seemed to slow down for her while she was practicing, this was way that she dealt with stress and shattered the cruelty of the world in her own hand. Ever sense she could remember this was the thing that she did that made herself feel better after a particular rough time in the courts or something to such effect. It showed, to be honest, in these moments where she could tune out the world in favour of listening to the slashing of her blade, the ringing of steel and the sounds of her own heart quickening its beat to keep up with her physical exertion. The way that the blades caught the sunlight and glinted ever so slightly within the steel of her blade, it was almost like a tranquil little spell that was cast on her. It was just her and the blades, and if she was lucky enough, a practice dummy against the world. The dummy was still under the continuous bombarding of the blades, each getting more and more accurate until there Umbra was striking the same places time and time again without any more deviation from her attacks. Every flip brought with it more deadly accuracy and every bound was taken advantage of to find new ways to get access to the vital bits that were under the flesh and bone of the human body. Umbra continued her assault on the dummy until its whole body fell into ruin from the constant ripping and shredding from the young ninja. There was one last flourish and the last of the bindings were cut away and the form crumpled in on itself. Umbra stood there for a moment and wiped the sweat off of her brow, taking a moment to look down at the pile of woodchips and rendered straw that was at her feet, she had accomplished a grand level of understanding but as it stood right now she had a feeling that she wasn’t quiet finished with her training yet, there was still more to learn, but she was right there and she was sure that she was at the verge of a mastery of her Seven Sword dance. It was kind of sad in a way, but it gave way to being able to learn new and different techniques that could be of great benefit to her.
Umbra stood back for a few minutes while she caught her breath and ran through things in her mind. She retraced her steps and pictured what she had previously done with her work and its accomplishments, when one moved forwards, it was important to keep the basics close to heart. The basics were the foundation of any technique. She took her time, she placed each blade where it was supposed to go instead of tossing them into the air like she usually did. This was the beginning of the pentacle of her craft and she wanted some intimate moments with her swords, they were one with her, they were an extension of her soul now and she had bonded with them as she would have bonded with someone she was in love with. She now felt naked without them, powerless and almost frail. She set the last piece in between her painted lips and bowed her head in a moment of rare, tranquil grace. Moments like these couldn’t last forever though, and not long after she opened her eyes to begin to put together everything that she had learned in a flurry of destruction that would have to substitute for death. She stood on one leg in the middle of a disorganized pact of training dummies and could picture the enemy, real life wouldn’t be this safe, they would be deadly and there would be no turning back if she was in this sort of situation. She would make every wound count, every puncture fatal and every slash a calculated blow that would make the enemy regret everything if they were fortunate enough to survive… but she would make sure there were no survivors, not in her battles. Umbra pushed off with her leg and started to spin in the air in a counter clockwise rotation, gaining some momentum for her first slash that she placed across the firsts dummies chest, from right shoulder to left hip, within the same movement two of her swords launched themselves at nearby dummies, planting themselves both in vital areas of their body. Umbra flipped on her hands and began lashing out with the blades that had taken up residence in the back joint of her knees. Slashing and striking at the solar plexus in disemboweling sweeps. She then pushed off her hands, juggling the remaining blades into the air, pushing them into the straw dummy and its chest, any shinobi worth their salt knew that if you pushed the blade in at just the right angle you could puncture both the heart and the lung at the same time. It was more likely to do this when your opponent is not expecting the strike to come. Having them move around and trying to get such a blow was next to impossible unless you timed things right, even if you were doing the Seven swords dance. Such a thing would need distractions and perhaps even a genjutsu to make it work out.
Umbra continued her rampage of dummicide, she made sure that no move was wasted, no imagined opportunity thrown away and no counter allowed to be had. She worked at mixing up her combinations here so that she was even less predictable than the style would allow her to be, she listened more to her instincts and her creative aspect of herself in order to get some inspiration for her re-forged movements. Umbra eventually reduced her original dummy to its bare bones, the others around it were scratched up and mangled but she was going for something more of a destroyed look to it, she tore blades out from where they were tossed, leaving gaping holes when they left the training dummy and continued to separate arms from torso’s in the same exotic dance of annihilation. She reflected on how far she had come sense she first started doing this, back when things were out of her hands and her parents decided everything for her without so much as thinking how it would negatively affect her life. It was about five years ago, she recalled, when she saw that man practicing in the field, she had more or less ran away from one of those fancy get togethers that being a child of politics brought with it, her mother was trying to hook up her sister to some richer man, hoping to gain some sort of influence. She remembered little about the ceremony itself, or even if her sister was accepted or not, but she did remember wandering closer to the place that shinobi had trained. The man who was practicing his seven sword dance was a larger man, well-built with a square jaw line. She remembered the concentration on his face when he was about to perform the attack. After she saw that maneuver she understood why. She watched him from a distance the rest of the day, then she returned every day to see if she could watch him do it again. When she first learned this, she was only mimicking him the best that she could. She did everything that she watched him do in attempts of being like him. She got pretty good at it too, though the more she practiced on her own, the blurrier the image of what he was doing became to her, so she had to improvise and learn through trial and error. She wondered if that shinobi was still alive, she wondered if she would ever get the chance to take on her unknown mentor or if he was already dead. If he was alive, maybe he would be her battle field? Maybe the man who probably didn’t even know he was teaching someone was the one that would make her feel alive for the first time in her life. If she did meet him… would she surpass his abilities by now, or would he have made more that she could learn from, with or without his consent? She wondered if he even knew that she was there? He seemed so focused on his practice, she could understand that he would have over looked a ten year old girl. Then again… he was Uchiha…
During all these years, she kept the basics close to heart, she built on them and she improved her abilities with her swords. At first, she could hardly even keep her balance while using this technique, her blades felt foreign and unnatural to her where they were located and resting on her person. Now, her swords were every bit as a part of her as her own beating heart. Umbra tossed six of her blades in the air and twisted herself around the remaining dummy, pulling both of its hands about its head while tearing it off the stand and shoving it into the dirt, the remaining blade in her hands pierced the over lapping hands and she pushed herself into the air, spinning in a clockwise rotation. She grabbed the swords one by one and launched them into the ‘joints’ of the humanoid figure. Both elbows, both knees the right ankle and the left shoulder hand become pinned down into the earth below them, for future reference, she would attack the dominant shoulder of her opponent. With cat like grace, Umbra landed on the butts of three of her hilts, her right hand captured the last spinning blade and flipped it over the back of her hand before catching it again so that the blade of the weapon was pointing down. She used the momentum to help carry through the ‘killing blow’ that would have punctured the dummies heart if it had one. Umbra paused for a moment and took a look around at the field of discarded straw limbs and the humanoid figures that were scattered and broken before her. Tenderly she stepped down off of her blades and made sure that there wasn’t one dummy in one piece or left standing on the pole. Satisfied with her mastery of the ability, she gathered her swords and put them in their sheaths, slowly and one at a time while she let that sense of accomplishment wash over her. She supposed that she was feeling some manner of pride in herself or perhaps some sort of misplaced nostalgia. Whatever it was, it was sort of bittersweet that she had obtained this level of skill. It was a part of her life and training for going on five years now. She needed a few project now. But really, there was still one thing left to do… It would probably be best to leave this place, she shouldn’t stray too far from the village at this point and it was likely almost time to go back from her break. Her mind was somewhat more focused now and at ease with the training that she finished up on. It was likely going to be a little while before she was able to train like this again. Until they settled in their next encampment… more than likely. Umbra felt little need to clean up the dummies that were left there, after all… they were not going to be used anytime soon."Let no evil deed go unrewarded." "Let no good deed go unpunished,"Umbra Uchiha Umbra wandered over to the place where the Jonin were training their skills, there was a large group that had gathered and she decided to use that to her advantage, she hoped that she wasn’t going to either get discovered too soon or at all for that matter. She pushed her way through the crowd till she got herself a front row seat to the spectacle, she got a few looks but she ignored them outright, the Jonin leaders did nothing to shoo her away so she assumed that so long as she didn’t interfere then a blind eye would be turned by all, she needed to get some more practice in with the evasion, she needed to learn how to read the body movement of those with skills about that of a chunin. When the first round of these all or nothing practice rounds started she studied the two combatants closely to look for anything that would be a dead give-away for what they were going to do. She watched the shoulders and the hips of her opponent, she knew that making eye contact would be hard, if not impossible with other members of the Uchiha, so she wanted to work things out so that she didn’t have to. The two squared off, they seemed like old rivals, but they also seemed like they were on some friendly terms with each other. It was a good start, seeing as they seemed to know each other well they wouldn’t be so guarded with their movements and it would be easier to pick up on. At least… that was the theory, which was proven wrong the moment that they kicked off to face each other in combat. Umbra cursed at herself, she had blinked and missed the kick off, Jonin speed wasn’t something one just overcame in an instant, following it at her level was going to be bloody hard if not outright impossible. Her eyes quickly scanned the battle arena in search for them, she caught odd glimpses and shadows of body flickers all over the place. She was struggling to keep up, everyone else had no problems keeping up, they had their Sharingan activated and were easily able to follow the dizzying speeds that they were going. Umbra didn’t have that option yet. She forced herself to close her eyes and calm down. She was getting worked up and she needed to stay focused, she breathed and calmed herself down a little more when she heard the sounds of blades clashing. Her ears perked up a little bit, she held her eyes closed a little longer as she listened to the sharp sounds of steeling ringing against steel, she relaxed when she was starting to realize that she could hear them clashing and that was starting to give her hints and clues to combat patterns. One of them would always attack to the right, assuming their history together, it could be safe to say that he was attacking an old war wound of some kind that may be interfering with close combat. Perhaps it was blindness in the eye that made it easy to exploit or something like that. Likewise, the one with the apparent disability was compensating for it. After a few more minutes of listening and getting the pattern of the attacks, she opened her eyes and started to anticipate the moments based on the body language and the patterns that she guessed on while she had her eyes closed. Slow and surely she was making progress with this and she was starting to catch up with her ability to see them and follow the movements, it wasn’t fool proof just yet but it was a start and she was more than comfortable with that for now. Umbra frown, when the match came to a close. She was starting to pick up more and more of their movements and pacing, starting to catch the barest glimpses of what their body movements meant when they were as subtle as they were. Somewhere in the crowd a larger voice boomed out two more names and a couple more members of the clan came to the ring and squared off, both of their sharingan were activated and they eyed each other up for a moment, Umbra took this to mean that the two of them weren’t familiar with each other, Umbra paid close attention to the clothing of the fighters, trying to find out where their well hidden dominant hands and legs were, she focused hard to see if she could be able to pick out those slight atrophy’s that indicated some battle wounds that would cripple or hinder the opponents or create openings in the defence One of the combatants was a taijutsuist and the other one seemed to be someone who was more focused on ninjutsu. She studied the man that was using ninjutsu and looked for any scars on him, she scanned him for any favoritism that he showed in his limbs, she watched him like a hawk. She noted that he led his hand signs with his left hand and that he pushed his weight on his right leg and tilted his head ever so slightly to the left. He was left handed, he was dominate in his right leg and there was partial deafness in his right ear that would indicate that there was an opening there that could be taken if someone was able to get into a blind spot. However, she noted that there was little favoring of a limb or scars outside of his right ear, this would indicate that he was a medium to long distance fighter, this would be a hard fight for the close combat specialist. She was starting to scan the body of the taijutsuist that was about to make his move. If this warrior had any wounds he was hiding them very well, it was hard for her to make out through his movements, if we was wounded he was using his body as though nothing was ever wounded on him, that was a good sign of a competent and bluffing if he was wounded, it was even more impressive if it was just because he wasn’t wounded. Umbra wasn’t ignorant that she was starting to gain a lot of attention from the leaders of the Jounin, she had a feeling that she wasn’t welcomed here, but she really didn’t care right now, if she was asked to leave then she would respect the ranks and do so, until then though, she was trying to get some more experience with being able to pick out the body language and the subtle ways that the jounin used them. She might not be able to match their speed yet, but she had the first step within her grasp, while the others wasted their chakra on the Sharingan, she would be able to pick out the movements of the body and then react by guessing, predicting and then reacting accordingly, saving chakra until it was needed and being able to more than likely psyche out the opposition. What was more frightening that having an Uchiha reading your moves without activating their bloodline trait? Umbra turned her full attention back to the ring, the leaders of the jounin and those of the jounin ranks themselves who noticed her didn’t really seem to care all that much that she was there, and as long as she behaved herself she was probably more than likely welcomed to say. Umbra decided to make this a bit of a game for herself, she decided that she was going to start betting herself who was going to be the winner of the fight. If she lost she would make her training tougher, if she won… she would focus on something outside of her usual patterned training as a treat or something. Let see, the close combat type hid whatever battle wounds that he had well, he was in a more closed off area that would more than likely work to his advantage, she assumed that he had spotted the others use of their dominant limbs and the partial deafness too… not that she counted the other one out just yet. If he was more inclined to more ranged combat he would likely have wider ranged jutsu and could potentially win this fight before it even started. Still… she was going to put her money on the close combat expert. He seemed to have formed his strategies very quickly and he probably had some jutsu that could get him into combat fast. When the fight started she paid close attention, she strained herself to find some of the weaknesses and tell-tale signs of any favored arms or legs, she scanned for old scars and war wounds that were under their clothes or made dominate by the movement of combat, without a sharingan though, it was hard to keep up with their speed, just because she could predict their movements though observations and calculations, didn’t mean that she could actually see their moves as they came. Umbra’s tracking of their movements was about one beat behind the combatants yet, it was starting to get a touch frustrating for her as she constantly had to move her head around or close her eyes to get their location through sound alone. When she was finally able to track them down she noticed the patterns at last, they were there, she opened her eyes to follow more closely now, she picked up that the close combat fighter was more dominant with his right hand, he attacked from the left where the good ear was, possibly trying to temporarily deafen his opponent. Though when she looked hard enough she was noticing that his leg had very subtly limping when he moved too quickly on it. Ha! She found his war wound, and now she was starting to be able to track him better now, she turned her focus on the more distance oriented fighter now that she was having an easier time with the close combat fighter, he was using a kunai and keeping himself mobile, he used his jutsu sparingly which suggested that he had more ranged attacks than any sort of focus on the close combat end of things. She continued to watch the bout until the pair had finished their assault on each other. The ref called the match before a victor was decided. Interesting… these matches were timed, actually that might be better for her in the long run as she would have to discover very quickly what the two opponents had to hide and their patterns of attack. When the next pair came on she was quick to take some notice and began her usual probing of their bodies and natural mannerisms. When the fight got started, she also got to work, quickly scanning for the next opening, constantly struggling to keep up with the speed of the jounin and then dissect their abilities by finding patterns in their strategies. She was starting to get good at it too, finally having individuals who were above her rank and ability to look at and observe was a huge help and she wasn’t able to do this in the boot camp with the rest of the genin that were constantly vying for positions in the army of their bloodline. Umbra’s observations were starting to actually become rather simple now, not that she was right one hundred percent of the time but she was on a role and she was winning her little bets with herself more than she was losing. She needed a new challenge now, something that would be harder to get in a shorter period of time. While she watched the latest batch fight it out she was able to follow them both with her eyes now, for the most part at least. It wasn’t the same as having her bloodline trait unlocked but it was close enough that she had an advantage none the less.
Having grown a little bored with the observations of the paired fighting, Umbra slipped away from this crowd and moved to another group who were watching bouts with teams of fighters. Ah… now this was more what she wanted, something that would prove a challenge to track. Once more she pushed her way towards the front of the group, this time coming up alongside a jounin with longer hair and a pair of glasses. He looked like a tight a** but Umbra neither cared nor was put off by it, at least not yet away. If he took notice of her he didn’t say anything. To make things more interesting, he appeared to be the ref for these group fights too. Umbra noted that everyone here had their sharingan activated already… well, everyone but her at least. The jounin leader started the fight and all of the team took off at once, Umbra’s eye twitched ever so slightly and she had to resort to closing her eyes again to catch one of the pairs. When she did her eyes darted over in that direction and began to observe them as they clashed. She studied them carefully and cautiously, as though each observation would save her life. When she was ready to move onto the others the match was over. Umbra’s eyes narrowed slightly, this was going to be a bit of a challenge for her to deal with, not only would she have to find these flaws and patterns quickly she would have to find them six other times before the quick bouts were finished with. This was going to be harder than she may have originally thought. Okay, she would need a new strategy for this one… she ponder for a moment as the combatants got in the field and pretty well started right away. Once more they started off too quickly for her to pick up and she ended up once more running out of time after studying only two combatants. She didn’t let her frustration get the better of her though, she knew that would be unbecoming of a shinobi and a shame unto her. She watched as the combatants once more got into the ring, she paid attention to their movements as they got onto the field instead of starting when right away. It was a good move on her part and she was slowly able to track more and more of the ninja’s movements and more of more members of the teams as she went. Still though, she was having troubles getting to pick out patterns and flaws in all of the team mates that where there, she could get maybe two on one team and then one on the other. She didn’t let herself get discouraged though, she was more than able to gleam what she wanted out of this before too long. She wasn’t ignorant of the attention she was getting here either, the jounin leader that was beside her was starting to get a rather annoyed look on his face whenever his eyes fell upon her, but she didn’t care, she was so close to getting what she wanted that it wasn’t funny anymore. She sat through the next bout and pushed herself to get one more member analysed before the fight ended. She pushed for that last little detail that would make things easier for the next round of combat and one more step towards her goal. Once more she found herself falling short of her own expectations, it was admittedly made harder by the man on her right who was constantly glaring down at her, she had a suspicion that she was going to be having a chat with one of her superiors by tonight. She didn’t care at this moment though, for the good of the clan she would continue what she was doing and become stronger because of that. There was no shame in disobedience when one was putting a greater purpose about oneself. That being mentally noted she continued on her observations with or without the consent of the surrounding ninja. She watched carefully again as a new group came up to the ground, this time she placed even more of a handicap on herself and her little game, she would only make notes when they came on the battlefield. She started off slowly at first, but as time and rounds when on she was starting to pick up even the most subtle of details with relative ease and impressive quickness. She stayed around to make sure these moments were not flukes, spar after spar, and battle after battle was displayed as they were moving around the crowd and pulling Jounin to test. Most of them were already members of the same squad, though some of them were mixed and matched to make things harder on the team. Umbra observed this intently, she didn’t let one movement escape her notice, the rounds were getting quicker and it seemed that the jounin chosen were getting better but that didn’t deter Umbra from herself appointed task of learning and observing. She was starting to feel a sense of accomplishment as she was getting quicker to pick up on multiple opponents. She was able to follow more accurately along with smaller groups of individuals without losing the focus of the group now, she ability may not have equaled the sharingan and its potency as a ninja weapon, but it would suit her find and dandy until she unlocked her own. If she ever unlocked her own. Her family bloodline never really had the power in their blood to unlock it before, but then again, Umbra felt that she was very different from the others of her family too, maybe she did carry strong enough blood to actually be able to use it. Umbra followed along in the match as the next batch of the combatants went on. She did her usual thing and made her predictions, she kept her eyes on all the combatants with hawk like intensity and followed them all the way to the end of the round. Off to her right, Umbra heard a Jonin clap her hands. “Alright everyone, let’s get back to work, tag off the people who gave you a break and when you’re up for another rest someone will come and get you. Let’s move out!” Umbra could only give a slight bob of her head as an agreement before turning around and going back to where she was excavating previously. She tagged the man who was working her place out and he retreated back to another location, perhaps to take his break. Umbra wondered if Senri was alright and if she needed help. Though in all likelihood, she was just fine, Umbra told her where she was if she needed her, after all."Let no evil deed go unrewarded." Through the madness we find, loyalty is no match for power. Say goodbye to your life, left to rot in your darkest hour. Prayers won't help you now as long as you're mine!
They were too late. What made it worse was that Senri knew this even before arriving at the melted civilization they called home. To Senri, it was like witnessing the lights in a city being snuffed out simultaneously. Only replacing the lights with human lives. It was a painful thing for her to watch, but at least she knew what to expect when she got to the village. It was more of a ghost town now. The souls that still lingered around were close to death.
Senri payed momentary heed to Umbra before giving her a silent nod, but nothing more. She had her work to do, and Senri had hers. Umbra may have requested a sensor, but she was sure Sylne would speak up and mention she was a reasonable sensor, unless she was being a little b***h snake, in which case Sylne needed to die in a fire.
Walking was tough for Senri, but she eventually got used to it and was able to hobble her way through the wreckage. If she were to feel anything at the moment, it would be anger. There was nothing Senri could have done for them, but if she had been here..
No, that wasn't right. If she had been here she would have probably gotten wiped out as well. Though, here she was...standing in the wreckage, alive. What was the difference? Her immortality was a curse only meant to temporarily delay the inevitable. Senri watched as she saw some corpses lined up next to each-other, surviving troops were just reeling them in by the pile.
She couldn't help but wonder if this too would be her fate some day. The stench of burnt flesh lingered in the air like a bad omen. For now she didn't even bother with the dead bodies. She was sure she'd spend time burying them later.
Not really interested in dwelling on the subject, Senri moved on and wandered over to the housing district, or what she thought was. Everything looked the same to her, the only difference was the number in dead bodies. Fire burned what was left of them, along with their homes and personal belongings. Senri's Mind's eye could easily pin point the location of any survivors, there were few, but she would save the ones whose situation was most dire. The first chakra signature came from a burning house that was minutes away from reducing to rubble, much like the rest of the village. Signs of life were pretty dim, but she'd do what she could. She'd have to start by putting out the flames if she wanted to get anywhere near this injured victim.
Ah.....but there was one problem with that. She....didn't have any water to use.
This might be a problem, Senri thought. No matter. She may not have water, she was very smart and resourceful, she could just as easily make her own water.

"Let no good deed go unpunished,"Umbra Uchiha After a few more hours of heavy work and unpleasant tasks of removing corpses from the wreckage, Umbra was once more allowed a break so that she could take her mind off things. They seemed to be making good progress and she as more than happy to put aside these unpleasant circumstances for a few more hours at least. While she was walking with the group, she overheard a few soldiers taking about an underground cavern that the Jonin used to practice their fire styles so that they didn’t burn down the village or the surrounding area. Umbra followed the small group to the caverns, they didn’t seem to care that she was following them or going to use the cavern. When she got there she found the place to be like a maze of sorts, she left a trail for her to follow back as a precaution so she didn’t get lost. Umbra found a reflective surface for her to start her Sharingan training, she couldn’t avoid this forever, sooner or later she was going to have to train their bloodline trait and it might as well be now… but… how did one train their Sharingan? Was there a set way or were their different ways to do so? She would figure that out as she went, she supposed. Umbra knew that the Sharingan was essentially composed of two different elements, the Eye of Hypnotism, and the Eye of Insight. That would suggest that the eyes themselves worked two different ways that became one. So, she decided to train them as such, standing in front of the mirror she closed her right eye while looking at herself through the mirror of her left. She brought her hands up to the tiger sign and concentrated her chakra towards her left, open eye. She tried to find a means to cause her left eye to lull another into a sense of ease, being able to penetrate the mind was going to be a good way to implant the suggestion that Sharingan was noted for. She gazed into the mirror and focused, making herself concentrate so that the chakra in her eye made it soothing, relaxing and something that would subtly be welcomed in subconsciously, she watched carefully as the depths of her eye seemed to ebb and flow with a deepness that wasn’t there before, she concentrated further and tried various things to try and bring the hypnotism into the eye so that she could unlock the Sharingan, she had no idea that it would take a great amount of emotional upheaval to actually be able to unlock it, she was the only one in her family that even had strong enough Uchiha blood to use their Kekkei Genkai, eventually she would learn, but for now she continued to practice the art of hypnotism though the left eye by slowly ‘pulsing’ her chakra through her eye and causing the effect of the depth of her already piercing blue eye to shimmer and grab the attention of the individual who was going to be looking at it. It was noted that around the outer rim of her iris’ the color of a bold red was starting to leak though as though someone had slowly started to pour paint or perhaps even blood around them. As the red slowly advanced towards her pupils she started to push a little more to try and obtain her goal… but… how was she going to know when she was done? Maybe she just needed to get the red to completely cover her eye and then she would be given a clue? Unlikely but she was going to try anyway, usually nothing would come that easy without some sort of strings attached. Still, she did continued to do what she was doing, it seemed to be doing something for her…
The more chakra she concentrated there the more red slowly bled into her iris and slowly crawled towards her iris. It wasn’t until she was getting more and more red came into her eye that she noticed that the ‘pulsing’ of the color was more predominant, more noticeable… it was a small spark of hope that she was on the right track. By the time that the red totally phased out the normal icy blue of her eyes she could see the effects that the hypnotic pattern and paused for a moment, there was the red, where was the tomoe? She wanted to hurry up and get this done, her eye was getting itchy and she wanted to give it a bit of a rest for a while. She tried forcing the tomoe out by focusing her chakra into a few more specific points in her eyes, she practiced using those points as a means of reference for the hypnosis. In the mirror she was able to see what she was doing right, and what didn’t seem to work… and what didn’t seem to work was her forcing her tomoe to come out… regardless, she noted that with these reference points she made with her chakra for the hypnotism, she could create more shadow and depth to her iris, when she twisted and played with the points of reference that she created for herself in her eye she could make those shady depths of her eye spin in contrast to the brighter part of her eye to create a swirling pattern to add to the feel that she was going for, it was an interesting discovery and she was sure that once she got her tomoe in those eyes that she could count herself as mastering the hypnotic eye… at least to a certain extent. After a few more minutes of playing around with this discovery she decided to call it quits for her left eye for a while. She could feel the unpleasant feel of the itch and strain using it for so long.
Umbra was walking back towards the others, on hand covering her left eye, still itchy and a little achy from her attempts at unlocking her sharingan in her left eye, looking at the world through her right eye she passed by an opening to a drop in the cave where a number of clansmen were training among themselves. She paused as she watched them practice with their sparring; she didn’t see their squad captain anywhere so she assumed that they were either training or just a**-grabbing around. Umbra stopped going towards her current destination and squatted down to get a better look at them, she didn’t recognize them from her pervious learning when she was working on her ability to observe and predict the movements of others so that she could improve her evasion. She kept her left eye closed and began watching them with the hawk-like intensity that she was known for and learned by. This time however, she was going to be trying to unlock her other eye of the sharingan, the eye of insight. It may have been a fair distance away but she would make the most of it. Seeing as she already trained herself to see and read the body movement of others and that failed to unlock her Sharingan, she would try to read more subtly into the body movements and its finer points, maybe that was a better key to unlocking such things. She did as she did before, she started to ease chakra into her right eye to try and see some of the chakra would help her in her goals of the training. She watched their movements, she was able to predict their moves through the subtle shifts in movement, it was fairly easy to keep up with them, but at the same time it almost didn’t feel as though she was making any progress, once more the red of the Kekkei Genkai slowly bled into her iris, slowly crawling towards her pupils. Umbra continued to watch them in more minute detail, watching fingers as the darted for Kunai and shuriken, picking up little quirks as she did so, trying to go one step further, she once more tried to focus chakra into three points in her iris, roughly were her tomoe would later be, she also tried to take her evasion training a few steps further, she tried to predict the next five moves that each of the other shinobi were going to do. The color of her iris in her one eye had become completely red, the chakra was still there though, and there was no escaping of chakra to indicate that she was using any… meaning that she wasn’t unlocking her tomoe… still she tried to focus on increasing her insight trying to see through the speed and the deception of the battling shinobi, as she continued to watch, her right eye was starting to get more and more uncomfortable as she continued following along, the chakra did little to comfort the strain her eye seemed to be going through. She forced herself to watch though, she needed to unlock her abilities, despite the slowly growing frustrations she kept things up the best she could. She relaxed her right eye and instead focused her ‘insight’ into things, she watched and predicted as best she could, getting better and better at her self-appointed task. It was starting to become a little easier, but she wondered if that was more because she was picking up patterns of attacks rather than getting her bloodline trait to manifest itself, there was a bit of a thin but definitive line between the those two things. It was hard to say with her. If she didn’t have this ability, then she could attribute it to her Sharingan getting better. Her eye almost felt like it was on fire as she continued to watch the subtle finger movements and the tiny ticks of the human body that she was forcing herself to pick up on in order to invoke her Eye of Insight, still not totally sure if she was actually getting it or not. With her vision being strained, she slowly closed and retired her right eye for a little while. Her eye felt like it was on fire, she leaned back against the frame of the opening that she was spying on, with both of her eyes closed for a while she took a deep breath and exhaled through her mouth in a heavy, but quick sigh. All of that effort and training, and all she got out of it… was a pair of sore, itchy, burning eyes and little to show for it other than that. She wondered why she wasn’t getting where she wanted, or needed to be with this training. She was getting frustrated and perhaps that was the things that was clouding such abilities? It was hard to understand but perhaps she could take a bit of a different approach to this?
Umbra brought her legs into a meditative cross as she sat there and rested her eyes in the comforting darkness behind her eyelids. Her temples were pounding under the strain of what she was doing. She breathed in and out and tried to reflect on what she was doing. She trained both of her eyes separately, they were supposed to act independently from each other but they were also supposed to work together also. How would she be able to do that sort of thing? When she unlocked her tomoe she would be able to implant suggestion in the mind of an enemy and then use her insight to mimic and copy the enemy’s technique then reflect the technique back onto them. Not only was this a huge advantage to the Uchiha, it was a huge frustration for the opponent, and when someone got frustrated, they made mistakes. From her meditative state, she raised her hands into the sign of the tiger and concentrated on the chakra surrounding her eyes, she could foresee the scenario in her mind: facing an opponent, as they locked eyes to find an opening in each other as they squared off before the battle. She could feel the flow of chakra into her eyes she focused on three points in her iris like she did when she was training with her left eye, though this time, she focused doing so on both of her eyes, creating six points of reference for her Sharingan Tomoe. She moved the chakra points in her left eye to create the hypnotic patterns that would lull her opponent to accept the suggestion that the mimicry would successfully perform, while that was going on, she could feel the three point of the right eye start to spin as well, mimicking the rotations of the left eye, she knew that if she cleared her mind enough that she would be able to see the hand signs that where needed to make the jutsu by noticing the subtle twitching of the hand muscles, with these two elements she would be able to mimic the enemies technique at the same time as they did, perhaps even sooner. Though she planned to use this sort of technique to infuriate the enemy and either goad them into a careless rage or force them to doubt themselves and their abilities, thus creating a crippling opening in their confidence. Once that was done the enemy would be easy pickings.
The more she worked at these sensations, the less strain she felt on her eyes, the points of chakra reference in the three points of her eyes were becoming almost second nature to her as she worked on this, focusing, refocusing, mental practice and trying to tie everything that she had learned all together in her two separate training segments. It still wasn’t perfect though, when her eyes were rested enough she opened them enough to let the dim light of the cave, her eyes immediately fell to the group of those that were training. She stood up and focused on one members of the group that had gather, one who was practicing ninjutsu instead of taijutsu. He was facing towards her, but she had not gone noticed. She readied her hands and watched his hand signs closely, waiting for the twitch that would start his training and thus, her own. She did her best to follow along, but she found that she was still a beat or two away from what he was doing with his hand signs. She tried to predict, just like she had planned out in her mind, but regardless of what she did, she was just one second too long in figuring out what his next hand sign was going to be. Regardless, she kept at it, focusing her chakra into her eyes as she was doing it, still trying desperately to see if she could find a trigger to unlock her Sharingan. She was getting a little better at predicting the movement of the minute details that she ignored before, things that she was learning were actually fairly important in reading body language. The more she worked at trying to mimic the man in his jutsu training, while she couldn’t quite get the timing right on the jutsu, she was getting faster and faster at predicting his moments with the ever so slight muscle twitches. Her eyes were getting sore and itchy again, why was this so bloody hard? She wondered if she had achieved what she was after yet, she took out a kunai and looked into her reflections eyes, they looked demonic from the colour change and the black sclera, but… there were still no tomoe, she let out a defeated sigh and started to head off back to meet up with the other, hopefully she could get back before her superiors noticed that she was missing from the work head count, it was obvious that they preferred to have their workers together, but there was a secrecy that she felt denied. What was a shinobi without a few surprises?"Let no evil deed go unrewarded." ((1st Tomoe - 500/500 2nd Tomoe - 1000/1000 3rd Tomoe - 1000/1000 all locked))

There was nothing but darkness as she woke, a fuzzy feeling nagging at the back of her head. Ijimeru felt like she'd been dreaming forever, caught up in some distraught dream about the world around her crashing down as she got married. As she woke though, eyes in focus, there was the clear white of a medical tent, pitched with the last bit of effort with patches and runs in it. The smell of herbs was dizzying, and Ijimeru stumbled to get out of bed, her long robes ripping as she strained to remember what had happened.
Oh, wait. Sessouresu being a jackass is what had happened. Insulting her, and smashing into her ribs with enough force to crack her head onto the marble floor. There was not much of a knot there now, but it still hurt like hell.
Her hands grasped at the tent walls, fully expecting to see the Uchiha compound in all of its glory, standing for the world to burn under. Instead, all she saw was rubble. Piles of the dead being burned and their ashes buried in urns. Paper buildings gone up in smoke. The training fields destroyed, large singe marks on what had been her home for years. And the palace...utterly leveled. Nothing was left, save for a couple of beams and golden slag that littered the ground.
Her eyes focused deeply behind her tears, as she let out a mournful wail, despair turning to shrieks as she demanded of each and every person who was still alive just what had happened. Where was everyone? Where was Senri? Takeo? The brat? Takeo? Haruki? Oh gods, Haruki....Ijimeru's hands fumbled at her sleeves, shoving aside the remains of the cloth to find the thing that she needed most, that above all else, besides the feather in her hair-a single piece of paper, written in the most delicate of hands, traced and made just for her. Even Senri would have approved of Haruki's gift and its usefulness.
Her shaking hands found just what she was looking for, buried in the deepest recesses of her robes, near her heart. Her most prized item, besides the feather in her hair and Senri's blood coursing through her veins, the most perfect enhancement either had given her. Her most secret possession, loved and cherished by her.
The summoning contract.
She flattened the roll of paper, delicate ribbon held in her teeth, and wrote the proper marks down, cursing her shaking hands and fears, before looking down at the paper below her. Still crouching on the ground, robes cascading in piles around her, tatters fluttering in the wind, she whispered softly to the contract as she bit down on her thumb, drops of blood sealing the deal. "I summon you, Haruki, my crow."

Sharingan, One Tomoe: InactiveThe run had exhausted him, burning in his lungs only worsened by the temperature of this damned plain of existence. While he enjoyed it before he was dying, he was now rather cross with it only because he was dying. That and huge walls of watery death of the likes he had never seen before also bothered him. On top of making him feel insignificant, he was worried about his scrolls getting ruined. That could be bothersome.
In the distance he could swear he could make out a pair of genin, his eyes must have been playing tricks on him because it looked like the cyclops and the idiot who didn't know poison from water. Then there was a sound similar to a sonic boom or maybe it was the wailing of a rather large animal; either way someone was moving incredibly fast.
Before he had the time to think about it the world stopped, he felt a heart beat the seemed to pulse throughout his entirety and a voice. No it was a calling; then without a moment to react to there was a sensation like having your entire body integrated into pure chakra, or energy. Then hurdled through an indescribably small space at the speed of light.
Ikurah felt a pressure in what he wanted to say was his head, then suddenly he had feet. He knew this because found solid ground, with a crashing noise or a sound similar to pressurized air escaping in a short huff. There was some smoke blocking his way but he noticed something instantly before he could see. One, it was hot as hell or at least the temperature was so much greater here than where he was originally that either a sun was entering the atmosphere, or he was elsewhere. Two, it was dry and he wasn't sinking. Three, the sound of the water torrent was gone but replaced with new ones.
Coughing, screaming orders being barked, not to mention weeping and lamentations of women and children. There was smoke and ash in the air, but none more over powering than the heavy stench of death and decay. The smoke cleared in a moment and he could not believe his eyes. Their might village had fallen victim in an attack of a scale massive enough to be staved off while leaving this many casualties on our end.
In a single glance his peripheral vision picked up bodies and injured everywhere, however, they were all Uchiha. No enemies, no senju or anyone else. No one but their own. People were helping clear rubble to look for survivors. The wreckage, while leaving Ikurah awe stricken and hungry for an excuse to retaliate, did not surprise him or startle him in anyway; the woman in front of him did.
The one person he feared on this planet, the only person capable of freeing Karasu from his accursed bonds; Ijimeru Uchiha, daughter of the Clan Lord and his princess stood before him with a familiar scroll stretched out. His eyes widened in fury for a moment behind his mask and started to glow red as his Sharingan flared active."N...No. ... M'Lady, have you any idea what you have done?! I was in the last part of the exams trying t--"His words were caught in his throat as the Sharingan faded away in his right eye, and slowly the coal blackness receded revealing an almost imperceptible dark gray ring around his pupil. His hands flew to his mask as he gripped the sides of it tightly. Doubling over and bowing his back, it looked like there was someone trying to force his way out of his eyes.
He grunted and cursed, staggering in place while whispering in a rather hateful tone,"No.. no! You had your chance dammit, just.... Go...DIE DAMN YOU!!! Arrghh.. ******** you!!"Finally, the boy who looked to be having a fight with an imaginary friend inside his skull ripped the mask off of his face, revealing a familiar face. His hair was a tangled mess but his eyes were closed for now and remained so for a moment, just breathing. It was amazing during the struggle that he hadn't harmed the collar or killed himself in anyway.
With a sudden intensity and clear focus his eyes opened, revealing the Haruki was now awake and still alive some how. All though there was a minor difference, other than his new clothing and the collar injected into his neck; his eyes looked haunted. As if he had been tortured for some time now.
Then he looked at her, and saw that she was really there in front of him. His heart started to beat; so hard that he thought it might be crushed against his rib cage. His lips started to move as his eyes softened to a man seeing an angel on earth for the first time."I-Ij.... M'lady. It is good to see you unharmed."So desperately did he want to grasp her and hold her, calm her and kiss her. His lips her scalding hot and the only way to put out the burning was with her lovely lips. The way the wind blew the scent of cinnamon from her was intoxicated, and he looked her like a drowning man. Instead he took a knee place his opposite arm straight down on the ground and bowed his head.
They were still in the public eye, and now was not the time or the place. While remaining kneeling he spoke to her in a cautious tone, while his love for her went beyond reasoning; his mistress could have the temperament of an ocean goddess. Nurturing and perfect; to harsh and malignant all because you blinked."Forgive.. his out burst my Princess, what has happened? Have we fallen victim to an attack? Are you injured? Please inform me of what it is I can do to assist you? ... I forget myself M'Lady forgive me... what is it you require of me?"He started to become overly formal because in reality his skin felt like it was trying to crawl off of his own body to graft itself to hers. He wanted right now more than anything in the world to hold her and tell her everything was fine, but right now he was a soldier and nothing more. And it nearly killed him not to look at her, but he would follow protocol in the eyes of the public unless she ordered him to do otherwise.

It was him. In the flesh. The smoke that scented of feathers and of Haruki pushed itself in front of her, just as she looked upon the masked stranger. The Stranger...this was her Haruki, but not her Haruki. Begging, pleading with her that she had done something wrong. She gasped, falling backwards as his screams and outbursts lashed outwards at her, causing a scene.
Then...the eyes changed behind the mask. It was subtle, yes, but the blood red of the Sharingan had changed, turned to something different. Soft grey, turned to coal black, obsidian orbs. Her heart thrummed beneath her chest, and she nearly wept with relief. Her Haruki. Her crow. Her love.
Instead of answering him, Ijimeru closed the distance between them, eyes tearing up softly as she sobbed. "Haruki....Haruki..." Her lips touched his cheeks, and forehead, and nose, before landing on his lips, the taste of salt and cinnamon blending. "I was afraid....I woke, and the world was gone..." Ijimeru's hands tore at his shirt, holding him there frantically, and her eyes brimmed with tears that spilled onto her tattered robes.
"Senri...where is Senri...?" she asked, bubbling over with sobs and frightened shudders. "My poor stranger..." It seemed just a mess, and she held tightly to Haruki, curls scented with the smoke of hundreds of fires, clean and pure.

Through the madness we find, loyalty is no match for power. Say goodbye to your life, left to rot in your darkest hour. Prayers won't help you now as long as you're mine!
Creating another element was a difficult task, more difficult than she anticipated. Senri's confidence almost faltered under the pressure, but she had seen her mother use water release once. Only enough to understand it's properties. She would like to think that what she wanted was a lot like puking up water, only without the gross leftover food that may come with puking. Gross.
Senri allowed herself to focus, not on the fire itself, but her own body. She slowly began to kneed some chakra together in her abdomen. It would have helped much more of she had some water to work with, but then again.....that's why she was doing this. She began to convert the chakra built up in her core to water and took a slow and deep breath. Her chest puffed out as she inhaled for what seemed like ten seconds long. Then, she exhaled, spitting out a great volume of water directed towards the burning structure. What was once a large torrent water shooting out of her mouth, quickly turned into a few water droplets. She then threw her head back and brushed her sleeve across her mouth. The house had been doused, but the flames were too intense and had been spreading for too long. If she tried again she might even cause the house to collapse.
Senri had to break through. She had no choice at the moment. Her water release wasn't potent enough to put out the fire, and the house was too big. It did belong to some nobles after-all. If she broke through the door, the fire might torch the s**t out of her, so....instead she settled with throwing herself at the window. It would be one of her less graceful entrances, but grace did not take priority at this time.
The fire that engulfed the house hissed menacingly at Senri as it threatened to burn her. The heat intensified as it burned the wood to it's very core. The house would collapse soon if she didn't hurry. She darted forward, and unsteadily rushed in the direction of the target, the stranded noble. Fire licked her skin and threatened to burn it, but it was a feeling she had gotten used to, bearing with it was a different deal. She'd have to if she wanted to assist and rescue the noble.
Her Mind's eye was able to pinpoint her targets exact location. 'The dining room...' She confirmed it with a light huff of exhaustion. Her body was weak, but she had so much chakra at the moment. She found it to be quite sad that she couldn't use it to snuff out the fire from the start. Curse her inability to abuse a new technique! For now she settled with dousing her figure with water so she wouldn't burn up.
The doorway to the dining room was almost inaccessible because of the fire that blocked the entry. "Tch" Senri spat at the fiery blockade and grit her teeth. She raised her hand, putting her fingers to her lips once more and made a quick hand sign. She managed to douse the flames with her technique, but only for a brief moment. It was just enough time to dash through before the fire intensified and swarmed the entryway once more.
Senri briefly considered the possibility that she would need to find another way out, lest she get stuck in a bad situation. As much as Senri was capable of surviving virtually anything, she would prefer not to "die" anytime soon. Senri recoiled from the intensity of the heat and the lack of air or vision around her. She placed her hand over her mouth and her eyes fell to the person in need of rescue. It was a girl about Senri's age, maybe a little younger. She was huddled in a little ball under the dining room table, looking as if she was in the midst of suffocating.

Damned. Watch the masses fall. Burn it down, control 'em all! The voices in my head suggest a less than peaceful side. I'll control the world, one person at a time. As I damn the dead, I'm trying to survive. I'm not ready to die!

"Let no good deed go unpunished,"Umbra Uchiha After learning that she still had a fair amount of time before she had to resume her excavation duties, Umbra decided that she would work on some fire style jutsu, after returning to the surface for some odds and ends that she wanted or planned to use, she returned to a secluded spot for some training. After a few moments of meditation she finally decided on what she wanted to do first. Fire style: The Great Dragon fire technique was said to be a technique that was too advanced for the new recruits to learn, but Umbra was more than confident that she could do this with the best of them. Standing near the water so as not to catch the rest of the encampment on fire, she began to practice kneading her chakra with the oxygen that was in her lungs. She practiced inhaling and exhaling a few times as she worked on focusing her chakra like the boot camp jounin taught her when she was there with the others. Chakra control had always been a bit of a problem with her, but she was starting to get the hang of it, Senri and the others were teaching her whether they realized it or not, she had already noted that the best way to get chakra control was to remain calm and collected, mixing physical and spiritual energy was how chakra was formed, this was basic, what wasn’t basic was actually doing it. Without a lot of practice one couldn’t do this effortlessly. Umbra was at the point where she was building up the later of the energies, practicing jutsu was the best way to do this and that was another point of learning stronger jutsu like this. Umbra’s deep breaths continued, with each exhale more and more heated air started to break into the world. Umbra took one last deep inhale, pushing out, flames erupted into the world in front of her.
She paused her movements and got her hands into the tiger sign again, she inhaled deeply and closed her eyes, she pulled chakra from the pit of her stomach, she exhaled the previous breath and inhaled again before once more taking a deep breath. She filled her lungs full of air, and pulled the chakra from the pit of the stomach and mixed it with the inhaled air that was in her lungs. She started to mix the oxygen with the chakra, kneading it and mixing till she was sure that she had the combustible aspect of the chakra mixed together, she continued to gather and mould it within her, she knew that it needed to be hotter and larger than what she was used to, but that was alright in her mind, it would be good for her to push and stretch her abilities out and make them that much more powerful. She sought utter destruction with this jutsu, so pouring only a little bit of chakra wasn’t going to do it. Fire element attacks were always tough for her, fire was a feeding upon one’s own emotion but, Umbra really didn’t have any sort of emotions, it came more naturally for her as an Uchiha, and she was sure that this was the only reason that she able to use the fire element at all. Now wasn’t the greatest time to think about that though. She closed her eyes and concentrated on the stillness and calm of her inner being, she relaxed her breathing that had been starting to get worked up from her constantly and began once more the seeming arduous task of actually being able to go above her rank and make something that would give her skills a little more balance to them. Right now she was very close combat focused, she needed to branch off and get some distance in her arsenal. War and conflict was all about balance, if one relied on close combat too much then they would be outranged, those who relied on only one trick would be out performed. Keeping this in mind, Umbra wanted to make sure that she was balanced, and perfected in such regards. A warrior who had mastered his elements and counter balanced his weakness was truly a force to be reckoned with.
She filled her lungs full of air, and pulled the chakra from the pit of the stomach and mixed it with the inhaled air that was in her lungs. She started to mix the oxygen with the chakra, kneading it and mixing till she was sure that she had the combustible aspect of the chakra mixed together. She broke the hand sign now that she already had her chakra summoned up and brought it near her lips. She likened the beginning of the jutsu to that of the fireball jutsu that she was taught during her time in the beginning of her boot camp when she told the jounin about herself and the lack of actually training that she had received. The Jounin was not impressed with that bit of information, but eventually warmed up to her abilities enough that she was taught how to do the Great fireball technique. She remembered the initial frustration of trying to learn how to mold and ignite the chakra, but she learned it with ambition and stubbornness, she knew that she would be able to conquer this technique with the same sort of means. She concentrated chakra into the tips of her fingers and breathed out, there was a heated burst and a flicker of flame and made a quick, burst of very heated combustion came but the combustion of the jutsu ate itself out far too quickly for the jutsu to be able to obtain the desired effect. Umbra paused for a moment as she tried to wrap her brain around how to successfully stop the jutsu burning itself out before she got the result that she wanted, all that she had to do was play around with it till she was able to get what she wanted.
She thought that she had the chakra mixture right, it was the ignition that she needed to work on. Once more she took a breath and pulled chakra from the pit of her stomach and mixed it with the oxygen in her body. She raised her fingers once more, this time however, she concentrated on the chakra output on the tips of her fingers. She increased the friction that she was using on the tips of her fingers, trying to lessen the intensity of the ignition to see if that was going to help her obtain what she wanted. She also increased the mixture of the chakra mix in her body. With all the preparation done she pushed her kneaded chakra through her lips, she did it slowly at first so that she could make adjustments as she did. At first she just got the same result as the last time, more heated hair, she increased the intensity of her chakra at her fingertips, she started to play and make adjustments to both the intensity of her chakra at her fingertips and then tried once more. This time, she had some limited success with the fire, there was another puff of hot air and a spark of hope in the form of a small, pitiful burst of flame. Alright… well it was a start and she had a long, long way to go to break open this dam of possibility of fire jutsu. She had a feeling that once she got this block out of the way then the sky was the limit as far as she was concerned. Umbra straightened herself out and took another deep inhale of breath. ”Fire Style: Great Dragon Fire Jutsu.”The world in front of her burst into the bright crimsons and oranges of the fire that she was trying to tame, she concentrated on the density of her chakra and the rate of how it ignited, she pulled the ‘particles’ between the oxygen and the chakra little further apart so that they wouldn’t contact so quickly and then burn each other out, it was actually a hell of a lot harder than it looked and Umbra was actually struggling to maintain it. The rocks around the cave in front of the attack started to turn red from the heat and smolder, Umbra kept adjusting and re-adjusting her chakra flow into this till she got it right. It was getting hotter and hotter in the cave, the Bubble of flame started to grow little by little the more chakra she invested into the attack, she could tell right away this was going to be a bit of a draining task than she was hoping for. She kept pushing however, feeding her little pet fire dragon till it began to take an even greater shape in the world. Trying to find the right balance was starting to wind the young woman, she paused and let the jutsu die off for a moment while she caught her breath again. She was starting to get the hang of it, she was actually starting to learn how the fundamentals of this jutsu worked and she was feeling more confident than ever that she would be able to complete this Chunin ranked jutsu, despite being fairly fresh out of the camp. After a few more minutes of rest, Umbra stood up again and inhaled deeply, refreshed at the fact that she was actually making head way and understanding this ability. Once more she made her hand signs and once more she repeated the mantra that would allow her to breathe life back into the jutsu. When she was ready she unleashed her jutsu once more, this time it acted much more like what it was intended to be, the dragon like head roared into existence and then swelled into its full size, Umbra could feel the super-heated air almost suck the oxygen right out of her lungs as it pushed forwards, the size was impressive to her, though it was perhaps a trifle on the smaller side compared to more experienced ninja’s creations. She watched as the intense flame of her jutsu melted through the stalagmites and stalactites to push forwards towards its destination. It barrowed deeper and deeper into the cave before it eventually burnt itself out. Umbra studied the outcome for a moment, it wasn’t long lasting enough… it didn’t have the distance needed for her to balance out her Taijutsu, the attack was supposed to be more long ranged than that. Umbra took a few more minutes to grab her breath and see if she could figure out what was going on with her jutsu so that she could finish it off and do the coup-de-grace on this technique so that others could be learned and her arsenal increased. After a few moments of thought, and some rest and rations she finally figured out what she needed to do in order to make this work fully. She slowly made her hand signs and inhaled deeply, mixing the chakra with the oxygen in her lungs in a precise manner, she mentally evaluated her molding quickly before bringing her fingers to the side of her lips jetting the oxygenated chakra passed the ignition point of her fingers. The Dragon quickly took shape, the sounds of the air rapidly heating made a noise similar to a bellowing roar as the jutsu swelled into shape and it quickly took form, Umbra finished the shaping of the jutsu and sent it on its way down the hall where she had started before. The hole that was previously created was widened slightly more as the new and completed Greater Dragon fire technique pushed its way forwards, the rocks started glowing once more and Umbra watched as it charged down the whole till it disappeared out of site, leaving a glowing tunnel of super-heated rock in its wake. Umbra contined to watch for a few minutes before turning away and starting to move to a different location to get out of the intense heat that was now down here from the attack. They say that this technique could cause thunderstorms, and Umbra didn’t doubt it anymore either. It was impressive that something like that could actually be generated from a person… However, with no real reason to linger here any longer Umbra moved to another place to continue working more on her training… if there was still time that is, it could have been close to lights out or another sort of activity.
Umbra concentrated her fire chakra into her chest and took a deep breath. She needed to come up with some more ranged attacks to counter balance her close combat focus. She breathed out and exhaled a small burst of flames, doing a few more of them to get the chakra moving in her body while planning on how to do her next jutsu. Perhaps something along the line of the Phoenix flower jutsu? That did have some range but the problem was that it was a hard to control jutsu and it wasn’t overly accurate as a result. Wheels started to turn as to how this was going to work, if she did something like that in a single, controlled blast of fire then it would have a similar effect that she was going for. She would make it a lot less draining than the Fire Ball jutsu and potentially as rapid-firing as the Phoenix flower, she thought about it for a few moments then started to slowly make her hand signs, piecing together her little puzzle for a moment before she raised her hands into the tiger sign and she pushed some of the kneaded chakra out through her mouth, the introduced oxygen gave birth to small pellets of flame that didn’t even make it to its intended target. Umbra’s face twitched a displeasured look for half a second before returning to its usual stoicism. This was obviously going to be a little trickier than she though. She played around with the idea a little bit, it was going to be a bit of a balancing act with the chakra, too much and she would create another Phoenix flower attack, or a fire ball, too little and the chakra would be too small to even make it to the target. She once more pulled a deep breath into her lungs and wove her hand signs and tried again, she once more finished her signs and gave a blast of fire that was substantially larger than the last the large bullet made its way towards the target that Umbra set up and quickly set it ablaze. It still wasn’t what she was going for though, she needed to make it a little more smaller, a little more controlled. She tried again with her hand signs, she molded the chakra into roughly the size that she wanted and she was about to try again when she paused for a moment and let the chakra be reabsorbed back into her body for a moment. She sat down for a moment and sat crossed legged on the ground, she closed her eyes for a few moments and concentrated on what she was trying to accomplish. She was going to be wasting chakra if she continued to just spit it out till she got what she wanted. It was better to pause and reflect on what one was doing instead of just throwing things around willy-nilly. Inhaling deeply she started to think of the best way to accomplish this jutsu.
What she needed to was work on her chakra control, by finding just the right balance she could easily pull of this sort of jutsu, right now though, her chakra control wasn’t quiet as fine-tuned as she needed it to be to achieve this sort of Jutsu. She either used too much, or too little. Finding the balance was the pain in the a** that she needed to remove. She started to once more knead her chakra in her lungs she did so little by little, bit by bit so that she could get a better feeling for what she needed, she tried and experimented till she started to get a better feeling for the amount of chakra that she needed to make this work. It needed to burn long and hot to reach the target, she needed it to come into contract with the target and be as much of an irritation as she could. After all, this was more to cause the target to keep their head down while she or her team mates closed the distance between the target so that they could finish the job. She continued to knead and add to her chakra, getting a better feeling for the jutsu that she was going for. She kept building and releasing till she got what she thought that she was looking for, she opened her eyes and stood up, looking over to the target that she had set up she took a calming breath and slowly started to make her hands signs slowly and deliberately. After she gathered what felt about right for the attack, she took a deep breath at the correct hand sign and exhaled her attack, the area around her sparked with the light of the fire as it ignited and carried on towards the target, she watched as it made its way towards the target. When it caught up with the target the fire bullet exploded into tiny fragments of heated sparks. Though it looked brutal, it wasn’t likely going to do grievous damage, irritation and maybe some shrapnel burns perhaps, but nothing that would need serious medical attention. Not totally satisfied with the results just yet, she continued to fiddle around slightly with the chakra combinations she got it down to where she didn’t have to worry about throwing away chakra needlessly. After a few minutes she was able to figure out what she was doing wrong and started to tinker slightly with how to fix it. She got a better feel for it, finally, when she was confident that she was able to do this correctly the next time, she once more drew in chakra, one more time, she inhaled deeply and kneaded the chakra with her deep breath. Finally she made her hand signs once more. Focused on the target she sent one more fire bullet towards the red mark in the middle, when it came into contact it burst into its smaller fragments, leaving the a small, blackened circle with even smaller smoldering pockmarks in the target.
After a quick rest Umbra decided to try a different tactic with learning this next jutsu, she fetched some oil and found a relatively uninhabited part of the training area where she wasn’t going to be disturbed and she wasn’t going to be seen unless someone was looking for her very, very carefully. She wanted to work on her chakra control more than anything, but she was also still experimenting with the element of fire. So she was going to try and combine the two of them, but instead of wasting chakra that she might not have developed yet, she decided to cheat a little bit and manually start a fire instead of actually making fire with her chakra numerous times. It would save her a lot of time, energy and she could fully concentrate on what she couldn’t do instead what she already knew that she could do. Though, this might take some forethought and mental planning too. This technique was a little more advanced that what she might have been use to in terms of chakra control, if she could manually keep the fire going and manipulate small streams of it, then it would only be a matter of trial and error until she got it. Fire based attacks took a lot out of an individual. Umbra lowered her small jugs of oil beside her as she began to slowly meditate on how this was going to work. She would need to be able to manipulate the fire without chakra connecting to her body, but was it possible to control her chakra once it left her body? How was this going to work for her? She thought about it for a while but wasn’t sure if she was going to be able to figure this out without actual trial and error… With a little more rest, Umbra stood up and poured the oil in a circle around her before lighting it on fire. She closed her eyes for a moment, letting the flame that she was going to try and tame dance around her chaotically but still tamed. She reached out with her chakra after she opened her eyes, having them closed while standing in the middle of a ring of fire while playing with your chakra was probably not the best idea that she could have had… Regardless, she tried to figure out a way that was going to need disconnect herself from the source of chakra but still be able to control it, with her flame beheading jutsu, she channeled her fire away from her body and onto the sword that she was carrying, it stayed lit while she was battling for a period of time until she dispersed it into a ring of fire. Hmmm… maybe she should start with something like that till she got the hand of things. It seemed like as good of place as any to start with a task this seemingly complicated. Well, here goes nothing…
Umbra connected her chakra to the ring of fire, she connected with it via a thin rope of chakra, very much like how she used her sword in conjunction with the element. She watched as it crawled towards her, her chakra taking hold of it despite its foreign origins. Umbra practiced a little bit with the controlling of the element, it was actually a lot harder to do without a surface for a guiding point, She struggled with the element a little bit, it was like trying to give shape to a wet, limp noodle. Umbra concentrated, making it slowly twitch and rise and fall by her mental commands. This was definitely not going to be an easy process. Sweat started to form at her brow, a mixture of the intense concentration of the task at hand and the fire that she was standing in the middle of, she did her best to ignore it as it slowly ran down her face. Umbra was making progress little by little, she was slowly working on strengthening her ‘chakra rope’ while at the same time making it thinner but overall stronger. Her breathing was starting to get a little bit laboured due to the chakra exercise that she was doing. She was quickly discovering that this was something that was a balancing act, she needed to keep the flame going, but by strengthening her chakra rope but thinning it out caused the flame to start to go out, her eyes narrowed when she noticed this and started fiddle around with the chakra that was thinner but still fed the fire of her jutsu. She tinkered a little more with her chakra, with a lot of work and more fine tuning that was mentally sound. Umbra gritted her teeth and continued in her quest for this ability and how it was supposed to work. She was making headway, but it was slow and rather agonizingly paced out while she continued to try and strengthen her chakra rope but still have it potent enough to actually be able to support the fire that was trying to feed off of it. Slowly, bit by bit, she was starting to make some headway and move towards her goals, she could feel the strain of doing this, and was grateful that she didn’t actually use her chakra to start this fire. Umbra’s head felt like it was put in a vice, the pressure of a headache was starting to form around the base of her skull and her temples from the strain of doing this jutsu. She muscled onwards though, determined to find that last little piece of the puzzle that she was missing. She was also making some great leaps with her control over the rope of jutsu, it more or less did what she was after, though there was still some issues of minuet control over the thin ropes of flaming chakra. However, her control was definitely nothing to frown upon, she at least got the general idea of what she was doing and what made this sort of thing work to her advantage. She wouldn’t be able to do precise maneuvers with this technique but it was still operational.
Umbra let the fire rope go, returning the fire to the dwindling circle that she was in the middle of. She lowered herself to the ground for a breather, taking her breastplate off and tossing it outside of the fire, then pushing her arms out of the chest of her padded under armour. Her tight black tee-shirt was much more comfortable and cool, desperately what she needed them. Letting her hair down and taking a deep drink of water, Umbra tried to think about what she was going to do next, at the rate she was going, it would take forever to actually get through with this jutsu, she still needed to find a way to separate the fire and have it stay lit while away from her, a fat lot of good a mid-ranged jutsu did if you couldn’t get the thing five feet away from you… She needed a connection with her chakra that would be fine enough that she could escape the flames coming to meet up with he, and yet, strong enough that she could maintain the fire and control it at the same time. There was quiet the little riddle going on here. Umbra frown a little bit, now that she was in a more private spot she wasn’t so uptight with keeping her emotions in check, maybe a little emotion could make her flames burn a bit hotter in this circumstance? Nah… it was important for a warrior to keep their emotions in check at all times. Umbra ran a hand through her hair while she tried to think of a way that she could solve her dilemma. It was easier said than done though, she tried to think of what her pre-boot camp instructor would have told her or suggested that she do… as she was thinking a thought suddenly occurred to her, what if she was to treat the fire extensions like they were a genjutsu? Not the most easiest thing to accomplish, granted, but if she was able to establish some sort of connection like that then she would be able to control the fire and be able to have enough of a link to it that she could upkeep the fire and still keep it away from her… this… was going to be a long uphill climb to get this one though, she had a really heavy feeling that this was going to be a really big pain in the butt to try and get the hang of. After a few more minutes of getting her breath back, Umbra stood up and was about to re-kindle her fire when she decided to try and do this from the beginning, now that she had gotten more or less the hand of what she was doing, she wasn’t going to waste vast amounts of Chakra.
Umbra made her hand signs, took a deep breath and exhaled flamed, she quickly took control of them, just like she had practiced, there was an ring of fire around her that she quickly manipulated into a smaller right, she began to test her theory about whether or not the chakra would be a strong enough connection if she treated the rings as though they were under a genjutsu. She reached out with her chakra after she held the tiger sign, she slowly brought the rope into a ring and meticulously started to weave her chakra around it just as she planned to do, she had to concentrate hard, genjutsu was not her things and this was proving quiet difficult to actually do, other people might not have had much trouble with this, but she certainly did. Eventually she got the formula just right and practiced maneuvering it around with the chakra string-like manipulations that she created. She found it easier for whatever reason if she moved her hands and used them to direct the ring of fire towards the direction that she wanted it to go. When she was feeling comfortable with what she as doing, she reached into the fire with her chakra again and began manipulating more and more rings. Sweat poured off of her brow as she strained to maintain concentration, but she was actually starting to get this, her reactions were slow when she build up three of them, they could be manipulated but it took a hell of a lot of effort to do. Her hands were starting to tremble slightly from the effort. It was hard to tell if she was reaching her limit because of the strain of such a marathon of training or if it was just this jutsu almost being too much for her to handle, she guessed that it might have been a mixture of both, with care and vast amounts of effort she was able to create and maintain five rings of fire, though she could hardly move them at this point. Her knees trembled under the strain and weight that her body had started to take on due to exhaustion. Pushing saliva down her dry through she did her best to move all of these rings at the same time, they moved slowly and with great effort, but she was at least doing it. She even managed to send then going at different angles at the same target. They damn near crawled there, but they still managed to go to the location that she wanted. When Umbra tried to get another ring of fire going however, the whole jutsu fell apart, the rings that were in air fell to the ground and fizzled out before, she too, fell to her knees on the ground. If she had more chakra at her disposal then she would be able to have been able to move those rings more completely and swiftly, she was sure of it."Let no evil deed go unrewarded." Through the madness we find, loyalty is no match for power. Say goodbye to your life, left to rot in your darkest hour. Prayers won't help you now as long as you're mine!
Senri approached the girl with haste, she didn't bother with formalities or greetings. Time was of the essence and she just wanted to get the kid out of harms way. Without saying a single word, Senri extended her hand out to the kid, while keeping her free hand over her mouth to keep herself from inhaling too much smoke. The girl had hardly acknowledged Senri's extension of help, it was a miracle she was still conscious. It was more of a convenience than a miracle for Senri. It meant she didn't have to attempt to carry the girl. She doubted she even could in her condition.
Senri grimaced as the girl refused her help with a turn of her head. 'For hell's sake...' They didn't have time for this s**t. She motioned to grip the girl by the hair and drag her, but was thrown to the floor when a portion of the roof caved in behind her, throwing her off what little balance she had. Senri groaned and let out a hoarse cough as she tried to push herself up again. Strangely enough getting up was harder than it looked. It made her a bit angry considering she was a shinobi....this shouldn't be hard for her at all. Then again with her condition being just as shitty as Haruki's sensory jutsu, this complicated things.
Senri turned her attention back to the kid, making sure she was still okay. Ironically she had the safest hiding spot in the whole ******** burning structure. Not for long though, the table could only provide shelter for so long, and there was the smoke and fire to consider. Senri quickly picked herself up, her legs still wobbled as she forced herself to stand. The water on her skin had started to finally evaporate, leaving her to practically bake in the burning house. The smoke was so bad it became almost impossible to see anything, but for now she didn't need her vision. She didn't need her eyes to use her sensory jutsu, or her instincts to quickly get the ******** out of dodge. Senri snatched the kid by the wrist and yanked her out from under the table. The kid was too inebriated by the smoke to really do anything aside from letting Senri yank her around like a rejected doll. She glanced around with a stoic look on her face, and a sense of calm despite the situation. She looked for an opening of some sort, or a detour she could take since the way she came was completely blocked off. There was a sliding paper door across the room...or at least what was a sliding door. Senri took off with the kid and hoped to god there she wouldn't find a dead end.
She could hear the house creaking as it burned so intently. They were running out of time, it could collapse any minute now. Her grip on the kids hand tightened and she turned on her heel, taking off down the blazing hallway. There was a room up ahead, hopefully there was some sort of way outside. It had felt like Senri had been stuck in this place forever, she could only imagine how the kid felt. If she really cared to know, that is. Just before they entered the room, Senri turned with her back to the flames and wrapped her arms protectively around the kid before jumping through the flames. It felt like her whole body was tied to a burner on a stove. She was sure she wasn't going to come out unscathed. That was a given considering the situation.
Despite the burns she suffered, she never once got distracted by her wounds, or the fact that breathing was no longer a luxury she had. Though, she had been holding her breath for quite some time now, but the kid... Senri glanced over to check up on her- she was alive at least. Senri let go of her hand for a second so she could look for a way out. It was hard to see and she needed to be really close just to catch vision of the wall in front of her. She started feeling around for something- anything. Luckily for her she managed to find a window. Her heart almost burst with relief, but it was crushed as soon as she tried to open it. The window seemed to be locked or stuck. She searched around the frame for a lock of any sort, but to no avail. She'd have to break through it somehow. She wasn't strong enough to use her fist, but maybe there was something she could throw at it. Senri glanced over to the kid and saw she was no longer standing. She was just laying on the ground, not dead, but close to being unconscious. 'God dammit.' Senri thought as she knelt over by the kids side and slid her arms under hers, trying to pull her to her feet. Senri wasn't strong enough to carry her at the moment, so they presently had a problem.
"Get up!" Senri strained as she tried to pull the kid to her feet once more. Not only did she get absolutely no response from the kid, but the house started creaking again, only this time it sounded more like thunder. Oh....that wasn't good at all. Chunks of wood and pieces of the ceiling began to fall around them. The house was in the midst of collapsing. With some quick thinking, Senri gripped the kids upper arms and lifted her the best she could. Her hair took the form of two medium sized snakes and wrapped themselves around the kid's body, securing her figure just enough to cover her legs, arms and head. Then with one heave with her snakes, she literally threw the child across the room and out the window like a bullet. Unfortunately that move was her last, it was all she had time for before the whole house collapsed with Senri still in it. God dammit...she promised herself she wouldn't have to shed her skin again...

Sharingan, One Tomoe: InactiveHaruki looked at Ijimeru for the first time putting his arms out just enough to ensure that she didn't kill him. The collar held those ridiculous glass spikes out long enough to kill him if someone was breathing incorrectly near you. But the kisses and her eyes so tortured; but that was not the only thing to be concerned about.
It looked as if she had taken a beating, an unnecessary one, one he had planned to pay back in full; his grit his teeth as he swallowed the rage down. Right now he needed to focus, that could not happen if he was to tantrum about.
Finally her mouth rested on his. The world vanished beneath the wet embrace, cinnamon flooded his taste buds and it eased him into a more relaxed state. She started to mumble frantic nightmares and nonsense, tearing at his clothing as if he might not be real. He narrowed his brow in confusion and that was when he looked around him and actually saw it.
The village broken and destroyed, the people hollow and defeated; the clan was brought to its knees. Haruki stopped everything he was doing and thinking; the realization hit him like a metric ton of bricks, and his kneeling sank into a somewhat useless seiza position. That was when she asked her Senri was.
A stirring moved within him, and he tried to shove it aside for later. He concentrated on his princess's task. If he was a sensor remotely worth a damn, he should be able to do this. He focused looking for that familiar chakra. How to though? He was dead on his feet and he knew it, his vision had started to become fuzzy, nothing could be smelled beyond fire, ash and blood. Just death everywhere. For being a ghost town, there was so much noise and not a sound to be heard worth hearing.
It wasn't like he could touch the ground and just magically find her. No, no it was so simple. He could just know where she was, after all ... he found her; why couldn't he."Sshh, shh.. It's all right. Eye will find her, I promise. She is fine I am sure of it."He started to build the chakra in his... well he was sure where to send it. So he just started to gather it, he was already about out of it so he just started to compile anything he had left. He needed to know where she was but how would he locate her."Crows Haruki, you call yourself a respectable shinobi. You hace been out for five minutes and can't find a single person do you know anything?! This would be so much easier if I was prone to this sense birth, or had some old guy to blind me and tell me to reach out with my feelings"That was when it hit him, that was it. Sensing operated on a near immaterial level of existence that didn't involve the physical interaction that normal senses accounted for. With that in mind he had a direction. Channeling all of his chakra into his mind he stretch out thinking one thing, "Hebi"He started to feel, he couldn't describe it but it was like light he couldn't see. He stretched out to his limit of his feeling afraid that she wasn't here. That was when he found her. His eyes snapped open and then he realized they had been shut."I found her this way M'Lady."He stood up despite the screaming in his legs and the suffering his body was begging for him to end. He held out his hand and waited for her to collect her scroll; then he turned and dashed off towards a Hebi's location. He had been running for a few minutes, stopping only to check for a more precise location.
His eyes grew wide with concern. The building was burning, a rather large burning building. Haruki let out and exasperated sigh of the cosmos against him."Of course she is in a burning building... Aah, this has certainly complicated things. Come Princess, we have work to do."Not stopping to see if she was following or not he ran up to the inferno. The wood was deteriorating quickly, checking one last time he was sure of it now more than ever; Senri and another person was on the other side of that door. If she died, not like it was easy, Ijimeru wouldn't forgive him.
The fire was intense, the heat was excruciating; it was entirely likely that he was going to receive burns and his clothes were likely to get ruined. With that in mind he tried to mind the collar, he leaned back and kicked the door. Unfortunately it didn't break right away, all it did was hurt his leg. So he kicked at it again, and again. Working himself into fervor,Of all The days that I Chose to play Hero with needles stick out of my NECK and yet, this Door PERSISTS!!!He finally busted the jam on the nobles house, coughing as he got a face full of smoke. The fire had burnt half of his right pant leg and a nasty burn on his leg but he ignored that."SENRI!!! *cough* *cough* crows with this! M'Lady please be careful!"No sooner did he say that the roof caved in. A soft horror grew out of him, and his blood ran cold. He screamed out but it wasn't his voice."HEBI!!!!"Training Complete - Chakra Sensing Technique C - rank 509/500 Sensory bonus included Range 500 meters

Haruki had tried for her, kissing her lips with all the grace he'd bestowed upon her, before looking around, holding her close as he could. That collar...what was that for? She did not know. It must have been part of whatever task he was doing before she summoned him. And, just as dutifully as ever, when she asked, he began to search for her Senri. He found her just as easily, draggin her into the fray of the chaos ensuing around them.
What Ijimeru had not noticed, however, was that he had lead her to a building, once a noble's home. And on top of that, it was on fire, smoke billowing from within it. Senri was in there, working so diligently, that Ijimeru was shaking in her steps to see not a trace of her friend. Haruki was beating down the door, dragging Umbra behind him in an effort to help. And just as he had opened up the door, the roof caved in, on top of Senri.
A scream pierced through her throat, and Ijimeru tore past the house, dousing herself and her robes in water, before attempting to go inside of the home's ruins, her hands scaleded by tiles and beams from the roof. Her screams echoed as she began to dig, the earth shaping itself beneath her hands in searing hot ashes. It did not matter if her own hands were scarred, burned, useless...Senri mattered the most. And Haruki. And Ijimeru could not let either of them go. "SENRI! SENRI! SENRI!"
Horrified shrieks echoed as she dug into the rubble, her own arms and legs scalding with flames as she looked desperately for her friend. "SENRI!" Her throat ached, and the trails of tears poured down her face, as she dug earnestly for any sign of her friend. She couldn't lose Senri. Not Senri. Anything but Senri. Not Haruki either.
The further she dug, the more damp it became. Was there water under this building? It soothed her hands as they sunk into mud, and she scrambled, digging into another pile of rubble. "H-HARUKI! HELP ME! HELP ME!"
