User Name: ZoieAmandaSaxon
Character Name: Lady of the Lake, Vivien
Aliases: Kyla Eaton
True Love: N/A
Enemies: Regina, Morgana, Cora.
Likes: Swimming, dancing in the rain (dancing in general, but the rain makes it look more interesting), magic, ballet, movement, science, and stories (history and fiction).
Dislikes: Staying still, droughts, lies, fire, English class - too many depressing stories and too many legends she refused to believe, Shakespeare's tragedies, Legends of King Arthur's court, and sappy romance novels.
A little personal history: Born on the island of Avalon to a high priestess, the young Vivien was trained in magic since she was able to speak. The priestesses of the island all raised the young girl, which made it impossible to tell who her mother was. Not that that mattered much. Her powers grew everyday and by the time she was 15 the witch had powers that had surpassed the wildest dreams of the priestesses. When Uther Pendragon called for a ban to magic the priestesses were all killed off one by one, until none were left and Vivien was the only one on the island.
The young witch kept watch by using the water in the lake to spy on Uther and his kingdom. She watched without meddling in his kingdom. This was meant to happen, all of the chaos the king was creating had to happen for the Once and Future King to come to power. From her island she watched the young Arthur grow from a child to a teen. The most powerful king the world would ever seen. Someday she knew she would have to help the boy, but that was in the future.
Years went by with the witch alone on the island, with very few visitors. Usually she saw a human on the edge of her lake once or twice a year. They were always looking for help with something, assuming she would help them without any price. There was always a price for magic, and usually these humans were too scared to pay it. Once in a while she would help one of them, and the price would be paid.
Finally it was time, Arthur was crowned King. Beside him his loyal servant, Merlin. Of course she had seen the servant before, and he was no ordinary human. He was another powerful being. Much more powerful then a normal warlock. She had kept an eye on both Arthur and Merlin when she noticed the magic surrounding Arthur. Merlin was a good thing for Arthur, constantly protecting the prince. They were good together, but they wouldn't be enough to stop the evil that was coming for them. She could see the fights the two would have to fight to protect Camelot.
Time passed quickly after Arthur was crowned king. Things ran smoothly for the most part. Morgana kept trying to take the throne, which was a problem, but one Merlin could handle. There was something more coming, something worse. Trying everything in her power to protect Camelot the Lady of the Lake worked hard to keep it from coming. The curse was coming, something much worse then they had ever seen before. But she had failed the curse had taken them. She had lost all memory of her home and of her magic. She had become powerless.
At least she was happy in Storybrooke. She had a false life of being a dancer here and a student. She was a senior in high school and had apparently danced her whole life. Life in Storybrooke was safe and the girl was only 17. She only had a part time job of teaching ballet to children but some how managed to pay rent for the small flat above one of the shops in town.
Roleplay Sample: The curse was coming, Vivien could feel it and see it. Currently the witch was sitting on the beach of Avalon staring down at the water. Running her hand over it, muttering soft Druid words causing an image to appear on the glassy surface. The image was one she had been seeing more and more. The castle in Camelot with a dark purple cloud moving towards the castle. That cloud would be their downfall. Some how she had to find a way to stop it. The curse was coming some other realm. One that she knew nothing about, and their magic was much different than the magic here.
How could she possibly stop something that was beyond the magic in their realm? Sure, Vivien may be powerful enough, but how could she fight something she didn't know a thing about? And how could she do this without help. Apparently somethings were beyond even this witch's powers, and that was saying something. She had yet to tear her eyes away from glassy surface in front of her. It was almost like watching a train wreck happen on repeat. There was no way possible for her to stop it, that was dawning on her. She had no idea what would happen after this curse hit them, the vision always stopped when the cloud hit the castle.
Shaking her head. She should check on Camelot, make sure things were at least alright before this curse it. Make the last few months happy for those in her realm. That was all she could do for them. It really was, and it was difficult to think that. She could hardly accept that. There had to be something she could do to help them, she thought as she ran a finger through the current image. This time she brought up the image of King Arthur and Merlin. Real time images were just so much clearer and she could actually do something about them. Sometimes magic just was difficult, and frustrating, especially since she couldn't warn them of what she saw.
