"Hey why is your picture bigger?" "Why because I am the meister here!"   Hal Chaotic and Lucy Solari A lone pair would be found wandering the streets of Death City, clearly Weapon and Meister, judging by the way they stuck so close together... That and said Weapon was swinging the blade on his arm around because he was bored. "Hey Luce, why are we out here anyway? This place is so boring, and there's no one here!" His partner, clearly used to him nonchalantly swinging a blade around, merely sighed as they continued to walk. "Well, we were going to the park, weren't we? But it seems I've gotten us lost... All well! More fun exploring!" The girl smiled happily as she skipped ahead, Hal scowling at the fact that his Meister got lost and acted as if it were no big deal. He was hoping someone would come soon and give her direction. Or else this wasn't going to be cool. "I think that's crap and you know it!" "But your name goes first... Hal! Calm down! The wall is innocent!"

Adriana the Black Blood Adriana was wary as she looked around the area. The streets were fairly busy, but not overly crowded, which she liked. An empty street was ominous and foreboding, but a packed one put her on edge, just because she could never know who was trustworthy and who wasn't. "I've got to be careful of everybody," she constantly reminded herself. Whoever those people who'd put the Black Blood inside of her were, she guessed they hadn't been pleased by her escape... one of them could've been lurking around every corner. Just the thought of it made her shiver uneasily. Things hadn't gone at all like she'd planned after escaping the facility, but at least she wasn't starving and alone. She had a home, more or less, so that's where she decided to head as she walked in the direction of Shibusen- the school that adopted her as a student in her time of need.

"Hey why is your picture bigger?" "Why because I am the meister here!" Hal Chaotic and Lucy Solari Luce stopped skipping once she got back to one of the main streets. Noticing an odd head of hair, she squealed with delight before covering her mouth. A lady did not squeal in public, but this was special. After all, it was very rare that Adriana stepped out of the school without anyone. It was at this moment that Hal caught up, clearly still bored. "Alright we're back to a main road, so it should be easy to find our... Don't do it. I'm telling you from now, don't do it." But it was too late. Lucy had walked hurriedly yet dignified to the one she wanted to see. Sighing, Hal followed at a slower pace. Why couldn't it just be the two of them of one day? All the other people he really didn't like, Adriana was no exception. Even if Lucy told him to back off, she was still a black blood and that meant unpredictability. Therefore, in Hal's mind at least, she was untrustworthy. Lucy began running and squeezed her friend tightly when she caught up to her. "Hello there!" Lucy said softly as she squeezed the younger black blood into her bosom. Lucy sometimes forget her dignified mannerisms when she saw something, or someone, cute. And she found Adriana extremely cute. "Geez, you'd think you'd have learned self-restraint by now." Hal leaned against the wall of the building nearest to them, just within speaking distance of the two. Yup, the sooner Adriana goes on her way, the sooner they could get to the park. "I think that's crap and you know it!" "But your name goes first... Hal! Calm down! The wall is innocent!"

Adriana the Black BloodAdriana yelped in surprise at the sudden assault, but quieted down almost immediately when she heard the familiar female's voice. She then managed to wriggle free, her claustrophobic tendencies getting the better of her generally polite disposition. "Oh... hello, Miss Lucy," she greeted with a small nod, fixing her coat as it had gotten slightly wrinkled from the embrace. "Good day, Mister Hal. I was just going back to the school, so if there's nothing you need from me," she feigned a sweet smile, "I'll be on my way. I hope you both have a lovely day." She turned to leave, but was almost certain Lucy would stop her and force her along, as she often did.

"Hey why is your picture bigger?" "Why because I am the meister here!" Hal Chaotic and Lucy Solari When Adriana shrugged her way out of Lucy's grasp, the Meister sighed. In her mind, Adriana just needed to open up and hugging would back would be nice. But that was Lucy's mind and Lucy liked hugs. "What brings you out here?", she asked in response to her greeting. Hal, on the other hand merely nodded with a glare. Lucy pouted at him. Not to mention he was so far away. Oh well, Hal will be Hal she supposed. Hal smirked as the young girl said she was going back to the academy. "Well good riddance to you, I say!" Hal turned to continue walking to the park. Lucy looked between the two with a scowl directed at Hal, and a look of sorrow toward Adriana. Grabbing them both, she looked to Hal first with her non-threatening glare. "Halberd Chaotic! Must I always tell you to show some tact!? Apologize right now!" Her weapon responded by producing a small container holding thumb tacks. Puffing up her cheeks at his lame attempt at humor, her anger was only met with a small chuckle on his part. "Sorry but I don't trust her enough to show her thumb tacks. I do trust you enough though. I'll follow you in whatever decision you make. Doesn't mean I have to like you taking an experiment around that could kill us." Lucy wanted to slap him for her partner's choice of words, but he was right... slightly. There were risks, but she didn't care. "Well too bad. Because Adri is coming with us to the park for your crude tongue. A slight 'Tch' noise could be heard from the Weapon but he did not say anything to contradict her. "Do what you want, devil woman." He hated when she acted like this. She was too trusting and he hated it. That was the one thing that could ruin the resonance between them. But he had to deal with her decisions even if he didn't want to. "Of course you want to come to the park with us, right?" This was a loaded question of course; Lucy would drag her either way. "I think that's crap and you know it!" "But your name goes first... Hal! Calm down! The wall is innocent!"

Adriana the Black Blood"Lord Death suggested I go and get some fresh air... and it seemed like such a nice day," Adriana answered with another falsely sweet smile. Then the two began to argue, which frightened her a bit... she'd always hated it when people fought around her. All she could do was watch as the two bickered back and forth, feeling her skin prickle and her Black Blood surge uneasily. Though she didn't look like it, Hal's words were like verbal cuts to her heart, one after the other. She was an experiment, and she knew she was dangerous... but that hadn't always been true. Surely she must have been a normal girl, once upon a time. She began to shake her head no, cracking a tiny, halfhearted smirk at being called "Adri." After slipping out of Lucy's grasp, she took a few steps away before saying anything, her face somber, but neutral. "... No thank you. If I wanted to take this kind of abuse, I would've stayed in that lab," she said calmly in a low tone, the tiniest hint of bitterness in her voice. "I think everyone will be much happier if I just go back to the school... Sorry, Miss Lucy. Bye, Mister Halberd."

Because of Hal, she couldn't make many friends, and this one was drifting away from her too. She wouldn't allow that to happen. So she took off her right glove, and before Hal figured out what she was doing, she smacked him hard across the face. "I will not tolerate you disrespecting my friend, is that understood?" Hal merely looked shocked, mainly because she never really stood up for anyone like this before. The amount of trust his Meister placed in the Black Blood was enough to warrant a change in his behavior. Slowly, the glare came off of his face as he rubbed his cheek. Lucy had been training, so of course it would sting immensely. "I apologize for earlier. I did not understand the trust she put in you, and it was rude of me to insult one of her friends." Lucy smiled proudly at her Weapon, getting on her tip-toes and patting him on the head. Hal blushed and looked away, embarrassed because he rarely had received praise in his lifetime. "I would be sad if you stayed inside all day. I think it's nice you decided yo go out and have a little fun. We can have more if you want." She directed this to Adriana, but even with her polite tone, the look in her eyes said something along the line of 'You ARE coming whether you want to or not.' "I think that's crap and you know it!" "But your name goes first... Hal! Calm down! The wall is innocent!"

Adriana the Black BloodDespite Hal's apology, Adriana was still wary of staying out for too much longer. It was a paranoid notion that somebody could be out to get her, and she knew that, but that didn't stop her from feeling the way she did. Still, she supposed it would be okay, considering she would have Lucy to help her, should she get into trouble... no. It was still a very bad idea. "I would really hate to trouble either of you," she answered plainly, shooting a nervous glance at Hal. He may have apologized, but she could still identify every scrap of disdain he felt for her. The look on Lucy's face tugged a string in her chest though, and she sighed, hanging her head a bit. "... I guess... it would be alright, for just a few minutes... You know, if you truly insist," she stammered dully, casting one final glance over her shoulder in the school's direction.

"Hey why is your picture bigger?" "Why because I am the meister here!" Hal Chaotic and Lucy Solari Hal had noticed Adriana's nervousness and was about to comment when Lucy looked at him. His meister had looked at Adriana's soul to make sure that she truly did accept Hal's apology... which she did not. But there was also a nervousness not related to either of them there, although a small bit of it was directed at Hal. All of this had been communicated to him through a single look: Such was the bond they shared. "Oh I assure you it's no trouble at all! We were just on our way there anyway, when we decided to take an adventurous detour!" She laughed as though she had planned their walking around for almost an hour. Hal chuckled before saying "You mean, we were on our way there when you got lost." She pouted at him for his comment, but he didn't give an inch sometimes. When Adriana decided to come with the two, the Meister squealed in delight and hugged the Black Blood, before backing up a bit, looking flustered. "Forgive me. A lady must never squeal in public." She shook her head as Hal added in "Not to mention no hugs." Another half-hearted glare from his Meister and he stopped teasing her with a chuckle. "But um... Do you know how to get there from here?" A loud smacking sound could be heard as Hal facepalmed. "I think that's crap and you know it!" "But your name goes first... Hal! Calm down! The wall is innocent!"

Adriana the Black BloodAgain, Adriana just watched for a moment as the two teased and sent looks back and forth. She couldn't help but chuckle a bit, quickly covering the brief smile with her white-gloved hand. She seized up immediately as she was being squeezed by Lucy and her surprisingly-strong arms once again. She sucked in a sharp, nervous breath, but patted the girl's back gingerly. "I can certainly show you the way," she answered after she'd been released, then turned on her heel and began walking in the direction of the school. "It feels a bit strange for me to be leading you," she commented dully, more to herself than them, "considering that I owe everything, even having a simple place to stay, to the two of you. I suppose this could be seen as an attempt to repay the favor." She figured that they must surely think her insane, talking to herself like this... then again, the hallucinations that commonly overtook her mind were proof of that being true. She shrugged away the thought, continuing the walk silently down the street.

"Hey why is your picture bigger?" "Why because I am the meister here!" Hal Chaotic and Lucy Solari Hal raised an eyebrow at Adriana's chuckle, but didn't say anything about it. Lucy was about to thank Adriana when she said she would show them the way, but was just within range to hear Adriana speaking to herself. "Oh don't thank me! It was Hal that saw you. He said something like... 'No one was there to help me when I was alone. I don't want her to suffer the way I did.' It was very poetic the way he said it." At this point Hal was a tomato; could his Meister ever learn to keep things to herself? Jeez. "Hold on a sec, Adri, my Meister just asked me to stab her." His hand turned into a sharp point: his spear form. Lucy's eyes widened in mock fear and she began running circles around the black blood as her Weapon chased her. When he finally caught up, his hand transformed back and he pulled her close... and gave her a hardcore noogie. "I hate you." Lucy chuckled as she responded with, "Love you too." She was so used to trying to be cheeky she didn't realize the implications of her statement until it was too late. It was her turn to blush as she hid behind her new best friend. "Let's... Let's just go... Okay?" Hal was busy cracking up as his partner buried her face into the younger girl's jacket. "I think that's crap and you know it!" "But your name goes first... Hal! Calm down! The wall is innocent!"

Adriana the Black BloodAdriana stopped dead in her tracks, eyes suddenly wide. He said that? she thought to herself disbelievingly as she glanced at the boy over her shoulder. Then she shook her head. If that was true, he wouldn't treat me so coldly now. Or... are Black Bloods really that bad...? She was suddenly startled out of thought when Lucy suddenly hid behind her, but refused to let herself look surprised. At a time like this, dignity was the only thing she had left. "... Let's just hurry back. I don't want the teachers at the school to think I've gone and run off. I know my caretaker would throw a fit." She brushed the hair out of her eyes as she cast a quick, nearly-genuine smile at Hal, though it's size was more like that of a meek smirk. In less than a second it was gone, and she was taking the lead once more.

In all honesty, he had a little harbored resentment for the girl. Years of looking for a home, begging for people to take him in so that he could have a bed made him bitter. This girl had been lucky Shibusen gave her sanctuary. But if Death saw everything through his mirror, couldn't he have saved Hal years ago? This is what truly irritated him about the situation. This girl had found Death City so suddenly and just like that, had a new home. He supposed it was childish, but he still felt that way. Lucy could sense his irritation but was still to embarrassed to look at him. "I just hope that Death Scythe fellow isn't too mad for us taking your time like this." Hal cracked almost every bone in his body, trying to relax his muscles as he though about clobbering the Death Scythe that brought them here. "He messes with either of you and I show him the fastest way to hell." Hal returned the quick smile, and decided to walk up front next to Adriana. "I think that's crap and you know it!" "But your name goes first... Hal! Calm down! The wall is innocent!"

Adriana the Black BloodWas she wrong, or did Adriana feel like there was more to Hal's resentment than he was telling? That couldn't be. She was a science project gone wrong, and that was all. Still, it was nice to see him warming up to her... more or less. Being seen as nothing but a nuisance and/or monster really got tedious after awhile. "Who's Death Scythe?" she asked bluntly, cocking her head to the side a bit. She'd been in Death City for a very short time, and getting all the names straight made her head spin. "Is he dangerous...?"
