A skip. A hop. And a jump! The green acha buck stepped gaily through the forest, his eyes scanning the area around him. He hesitated for a moment; what did Creeping Moss tell him again? His tail flicked, trying to wrack his brains to remember their earlier conversation. Unfortunately he had been too preoccupied in creating a song for their offspring that he realized he hadn't listened to a word she said!
Oh, he was gonna get it now.
He remembered there was something about legendaries being able to transform into other animals, but he didn't know what kind of animal. It didn't help that the forest was teeming with many different kinds, so any one animal could be a legendary in disguise. Ebbing spotted a small brown beetle scuttling up and over a fallen trunk not too far away, and with his ears tucked against his skull, he approached the small insect slowly, holding his breath.
"H-HELLOOOOOO, O GREAT ONE." he bellowed as greatly as he could (how did one really greet a legendary anyways?). "I have come to ask for a favor!" he said, his nose practically pressed up against the beetle.

One could say that Cue Queue crept up behind him, but in actuality there was hardly such a need. She merely walked right up to his loud gold rump, stopped, and stared at him shout at a beetle.
"I'll probably hate myself for asking later," she said, after much deliberation, "but might you be looking for a Legendary?"

The buck kept his eyes on the small brown beetle, "Why yes I am!" he said, "You see, I met this dear, sweet doe named Creeping Moss and somehow it turns out that I have become a father!" Ebbing's tail flicked around wildly in the air, "Me! A father! Can you believe that dear beetle legendary? I have been composing songs all day for each of our children! Would you like to hear all of them?"
The beetle opened its wings, seemingly having had enough of the acha's jibber-jabber, and flit away. Ebbing frowned, watching the beetle fly away, and sighed. Creeping Moss would not be happy if he came back without a blessing. With a loud and theatrical sigh, he turned around, finding himself face to face with an actual legendary. His blue eyes grew wide, as he stared at the figure in front of him in awe.
"I-I, uh, I was gonna ask the beetle legendary th-that was on that trunk, b-but he flew a-a-a, yes." he replied dejectedly. "C-can you help a buck and his beautiful doe out?"

"Yes," she said, after another appropriate period of silent staring, "beetle legendaries are not known for their tolerance for inane chatter. And before you ask, no, I would not like to hear the songs you have been composing for your children."
"Now, what help, specifically, might you and your beautiful - an irrelevant opinion, by the way - doe need?" Though, naturally, she could well guess, but there was no harm in making them work for it.Gekokoko Even the RP title is hilarious! QAQ

Ebbing blinked rapidly, his mouth gaping open slightly. "O-oh." he merely replied. Had he offended the legendaries now? If the beetle legendaries didn't like chatter, would he not get the blessing he came for? He didn't know what was worse; being condemned by the legendaries or seeing his favorite zikwa doe angry.
"Um...um..." the acha put on his best and brightest smile, "We would like a blessing. And if you could bless us..." he trailed off, his mind whirring for compliments to throw at the legendary, "B-because, you are very beautiful and we would be honored to be in your good graces, O Great One."jun d LOL i couldn't think of a better title orz

"Didn't I just -" tell you 'beautiful' was an irrelevant opinion was her instinct to retort, but she had the distinctive feeling it was a hopeless battle. It was the same distinct feeling she was getting about the entire situation, this Acha buck, and perhaps also his beautiful doe.
"Never mind," she tossed her head just that tad irritably, feathers rustling, "what sort of blessing are you after?" She might normally have asked and why would you need it, but in this case, finding a sharp branch to stab her eye out on might be less painful in the long run.Gekokoko It is perfect title, and Ebb is perfect Acha, oh gosh! XD

Ebbing's eyes lit up, "Well you see! You see, she is pregnant! She-she with my children." he placed a hushed emphasis on his last few words. "And well, we would like your blessing! Oh yes." the acha nodded vigorously, his ears flopping up and down wildly.
"We just want to ensure that my dear doe will stay safe while she is pregnant and there will be no problems for us and the children." The acha sighed wistfully, staring off into the distance as if he were the star of a melodramatic play.
"You can do that for us...right?" he asked rather timidly, dragging his foreleg against the ground.

That did stop her short. It was not something she had seebn coming from the flighty creature - most prospective parents had a laundry list of desires for what their precious children should grow up to possess, but this...well. Alright then.
"I can do that," she said, almost grudging, but nevertheless, " bless: you'll all be just fine. Though while I'm at it," she added, as the glow of the moment faded and the increasingly insistent pounding in the back of her head returned to remind her of how the rest of their conversation had gone, "I'm going to toss in a few more of my own: may your children be blessed also with fortitude" that they'll need to live with you, "and wits" or at least, more than their father has, "and - just, good luck to them in general, they're going to need it, unless they turn out pretty much like you, in which case I disclaim all responsibility. But, yes. Your doe will be safe, your children will be safe, you'll be safe, and I'll be off to do something about this headache, have a nice day."
And - well. She was.Gekokoko Ta-dah! I hope it was good for you too. XD Thanks for the fun! (Edit: And I'm sorry to double-quote you but I meant to say and forgot earlier: d'awww, that was actually really sweet of Ebb, I was all 'awww'd! ;A; )

If it was possible, the acha's eyes started to shine a little brighter. "Th-thank you thank you dear legendary! This is much more than I have asked for! I will teach my children your name and they will forever shout your name in praise to the high heavens!" he continued to babble on, much too elated to really get a hold of himself in this situation. Oh his dear doe would be so happy with him, the legendary had even given their children extra qualities, qualities he didn't even know she could grant.
"I hope your head feels better!" he said, jumping over a large tree root, ready to head back to see Creeping Moss, "Toodle loo! I hope to see you again!"jun d Yes! this was a lot of fun thanks so much Jun! <3
