Story line: Yami and Yugi are back together after retreaving yami's memories and finally learning his name and past. Yami, now known as Atem, is starting to take on more "king like" traits: stubon, arrogent, spoiled, demanding. however, something isn't right. its not that hes taking on these traits, but hes becoming some what evil. could something have happened in the past that changed yami's future? and what will happen to poor yugi?

Yugi stumbled into the bathroom of the house for what was probably the tenth time in the last hour. This was one of the few places he could run to and be alone anymore. This was his one sanctuary away from the madness in the house. This was the one place that Atem didn't seem to barge into when Yugi was inside -at least not yet anyway. Yugi locked the door and then leaned heavily against it hoping to keep the other from being able to get inside. Atem had been so....mad...and Yugi had just barely gotten out of his grasp to avoid another beating. Where had things gone wrong?
He slowly lowered himself to the floor, using the door as support and he sat there, his knees pulled up to his face and his tears rolling hot down his bruised cheeks. He didn't like this at all. They had been having such a happy life together before he obtained his memories and in the time that had followed. Where had it all gone sour at? It was almost like it happened overnight to Yugi and he didn't know what to think or what to do.
He stood up then and looked at his reflection in the mirror wincing as he brushed his tears away from the most recent bruise. The once happy youth now looked anything but and he was starting to worry that he would ever be happy again. He lowered his head and gripped the sink beneath his hands tightly as he started to cry once more unable to stop, his whimpers and tears echoing in the room.

Atem was sitting on his bed, looking at himself in the mirror in his room as he wrapped his hand in a bandage. he seemed to be staring at it in a trance.
"that brat hurt my hand again."
he said to the reflection in the mirror. he narrowed his eyes as his lip curled up in a devilish girn. a little bit of blood had not been covered by the gauze that he was wrapping it with. he looked down and licked the small spot up and continued wrapping.
"his head is getting harder and harder."

Yugi looked towards the door after several moments of crying, which did nothing to help him in the end. He wondered were Atem was and if he was maybe waiting in the hall for him, lurking in the shadows as he had been given to do of late. Yugi placed his hand on the doornob and thought about going out but he didn't move. His hand slipped off the handle as he sat down on the toilet and covered his face.
'Atem...'
He thought as he sat there and took another shivering breathe, trying to gather himself back up before he left once more. But, here he was safe and didn't have to fear. Of course he knew he couldn't stay here all the time and that eventually he would have to leave his safe haven. But not at the moment....not for a while anyway.

Atem tied up the gauze that was now around his hand and stood up.
"im thirsty..."
he muttered to his reflection as if it could hear him. after all, that was all that occompanied him in the room. his reflection and his shadow. a shadow that seemed to have taken a life of its own sometimes. he walked intot he dark hallway and noticed that there was a light coming from the bathroom. a small sliver of light that came out from the bottom of the door.
"so, is that where you are hidding."
he muttered to himself once more as he grinned once more. he sat down on the ground, resting on the wall, waiting for yugi to appear.

'Why did things come to this?'
He thought as he rubbed his eyes a little and looked down at his hands. It hadn't been so long ago that they had been happy after all. Yugi had thought he was going to have everything now -at least all he had ever wanted. But that didn't seem to be the case. He sighed and looked at the door.
'I should go back before he comes looking for me.'
Yugi sat there several moments more before he turned the light out and took the door nob into his hand. He flipped the lock and then slowly opened the door. Maybe without the light coming out of the room he wouldn't draw too much attention to his hiding place. The last thing he needed was for his last place of safety to be taken from him. Then he would have no place to hide at all.
He walked out into the hall and closed the door behind him and started to walk slowly down the darkened hall, he didn't see anyone but then again he never seemed to see Atem if he was lurking about. So he just went about his way, heading towards his own room which he couldn't hide inside sadly.

Atem had closed his eyes so nothing could be seen of him and just waited. he could hear yugi leaving the bathroom and he couldn't help but chuckle. he didn't move as yugi walked by him, letting him think he had gone under yugi's nose once more. once yugi was farther down the hallway, he opened his eyes and chuckled at himself.
'hiding from me are you?'
he thought to himself as he stood up and followed behind yugi quietly, sneaking behind him. once yugi made it to his room, he just stood in the doorway, leaning there, waiting for yugi to notice him.

Yugi shivered a moment as he had walked down the hall, he got that strange feeling that he always seemed to get when the other was near...and then once he was in his room he turned around quickly and looked at Atem with a frown.
Oh...there you are.
He gave a half smile, trying to put up a brace front. But he took a few steps back right into his desk making his lamp clammer to the floor once more and he jumped as the sound turning his back on Atem as he leaned over to pick it back up.

atem chuckled at yugi, not saying anything, and giving him a clever smirk. just when yugi turned his back on him, atem snuck up behind him as if he just appeared there. when yugi straightened back up from picking up the lamp, he wrapped one arm around yugi's stomach so the other wouldn't move. in fact, he held him there tightly, making it hard for yugi to move.
"now, what have i told you about turning your back to me, little one?"
he asked, running his other hand up his arm and neck as if suducing him.

Yugi heard the chuckle and he frowned that chuckle seldom meant anything good for Yugi and he felt a shiver run along his spine. But then that shiver increased when he realised that Atem had him tightly in his arms. His body stuffened in fear and he felt his heart beat increase as the fear trickled down his body and into his heart. He never thought he would fear the other but it had come to that stage of course. He couldn't speak an answer as he just stood there in the other's arms, too afraid to speak words of any kind.

atem held yugi tighter, squeezing his chest so he would have trouble breathing.
"where have you been hiding my little kaikou?"
he asked him with a chuckle as he ran his bandaged hand through yugi's hair.
"you wouldn't hiding from me would you?"
he whispered in his ear

Yugi stood there in his grasp a moment before he felt it tighten and he gasped in a small amount of air. The tightening hurt Yugi as he was bruised on his chest and waist as well and he winced slightly but he was more concerned about not being able to breath. He bit his lower lip as he heard the other talk and he shook his head.
I wasn't hiding. I had to go to the bathroom.
Of course he had alreayd used this excuse alot of late and he bit his lower lip a bit more as he closed his eyes, longing for that touch on his hair to be more kind. Though he did moan softly at the touch since he couldn't help himself.

"really?"
he asked in his ear once more, caressing his cheek as he tightened his grip on yugi once again, waiting to hear another gasp before he did anything more to him.
"going to the bathroom. so your bladder is as small as you are?"
he chuckled as he nuzzled yugi's hair a bit, being rough, teasing yugi a bit just because he knew yugi wanted him

Yugi's closed eyes tighened even more and he willed himself not to moan or react in any way that would make the other happy. He knew he enjoyed tormenting him like this being all cuddly but not really meaning anything by it...
Maybe it is...
He whispered softly with another hiss of pain. He tried to pull free then which made him wince a bit more but he tried none-the-less.

again atem tightened his grip on yugi once more.
"tisk tisk tisk, trying to run from me?"
he asked, the hand that was once wondering around yugi's body, now held him around the waist. he then kissed yugi neck a few times before he bit yugi's neck hard enough till he started to bleed.
