It's quite unorganized, desks just sit someplace and stay there unless you personally want to move them, no one ever seems to mind. Blackboards are also scattered around this rather circular room and a few shelves with books, quills and ink. Cupboards are also scattered on the walls. Fourth Year Lesson Plan For Ancient Runes.  Sam walked into Ancient Runes for the first time that year. She didn't usually skip class, but this year she just couldn't be bothered. She knew it all anyway. Her father had taught her everything he knew when she was a child. Wandering around she looked at the books and found the bags of runes. Picking a bag up, she looked inside. Hmm. Nice set of runes but definitely not as good as my own set. She smiled and transfigured a chair into a meditation mat and sat down in the lotus position. Pickng up Fehu she placed her hands in her lap with the rune nestled in her hand and began to meditate.

Sam slowly brought herself out of the deep meditation she'd been in. She picked up the next rune and carried on meditating

Norberto Reflect Ancient stories, myth and moon He walked in quietly and watched her meditate with fascination. She was very good at it, for a fourth year. The professor sat near her and crossed his legs, his own pouch of carefully carved runes on his lap. He made no sound as he waited for her to finish. All come down to Ancient Rune

Drawing herself out of the deep meditation Sam noticed another presence in the room and whipped out her wand spinning on her bum to face the man. "Who are you? And how may I help you?" she said, with a fierce tone in her voice.

Norberto Reflect Ancient stories, myth and moon He frowned slightly at the girl "I'm the professor of Ancient Runes." he told her, not reacting at all to the wand that threatened him. "I was only wondering how you were getting along with them. The runes, I mean." he nodded towards the collection she owned. All come down to Ancient Rune

(Yeah, I'm here. Just been on my holidays lol) "Oh," Sam said, relaxing. "Sorry, I just don't always feel safe around people I don't know, so I get kinda jumpy. My apologies. And, I got along with them very well. Although, I do get along with my own set far better." She smiled. "Oh, yeah, my name's Sam by the way. You must be Professor Reflect?"

Sam smiled. This was familiar territory, something she could discuss with no qualms. "Yes, my father taught me alll he knew. I've been doing predictions since I was seven. The first thing that I ever predicted was one of our house-elves dying of dragonpox. I told my father and the house-elf was saved. He's been eternally grateful ever since," Sam said. ///////////////////FLASHBACK/////////////////////// "Papa! Papa!" Sam cried as she ran into her father's study. "I had a prediction! It was a sad one, though. Twinkle died!" Jumping into her father's lap, she began to cry. "Hush, little one, tell me what you saw, miss nothing out," he soothed in his baritone voice. Sam nodded and said, "I was meditating like you told me to do and I saw some pictures. Twinkle was on a brown bunk bed and he looked horrible. He was covered in green spots and was coughing. The other house-elves were crying and then he told them goodbye and closed his eyes. It was at night and the moon looked like a waning crescent. Do something Papa, please!" Her father nodded and clicked his fingers. One of the house-elves appeared and bowed. "Yes, master, how may I be of assistance?" he croaked.
"Tell Twinkle to go to his quarters. I'll be there within five minutes. Send Pokey up here to look after the little mistress."
"Yes, master," the elf croaked then disappeared with a crack. Seconds later Pokey was upstairs, leading Sam off to the nursery and her father was leaving his study.

Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just... my dad died a couple of months ago and it's kind of a sensitive subject at the moment. But, don't worry, it was my fault for bringing it up. Life has to go on and it's definitely not all sunshine and rainbows," she said, smiling.

"It was an impromptu visit, so I didn't have time to get them. If I'd gone back then I may not have come back because I might have been waylaid by one of my housemates. They don't always take a hint unfortunately," she said. "It was easier to come here and use a school set of runes. I'll probably get mine out later. What made you choose to teach Ancient Runes?" she asked, changing the subject. It wasn't one of the most popular subjects to teach. Actually, I'd be quite interested in teaching it myself. I wonder if I could get an early Pupillage with him?

Norberto Reflect Ancient stories, myth and moon The professor smiled "I feel that there's still a lot unsolved in this area, and if I want to find more out, I have to continue using and searching with them." he opened his own bag of runes and set them out "I'm still trying to develop different ways of reading runes and using them. It's a complicated business." All come down to Ancient Rune
