Dawn Landers I'm still clueless about a CHD something, but I will put on red because it's my favorite color. thanks for wearing Red! CHD is Congenital Heart Disease. I had a hole in my heart, a missing heart valve and a leaky heart valve! I still have a Leaky heart valve. As for the one I did not have my doctor made me a heart valve!

I have a question! ....Maybe a few. biggrin
1) Are there any restrictions on what you can do? (medically) 2) What are your odds of having a safe and healthy pregnancy for yourself/child? (I ask this because of the stress the body goes through to push a child out, I was wondering if it is safe for your heart.) 3) When you think of your complications with your heart what words do you associate it with? (i.e. God, survival etc.) 4) Is it more important for you to have a nutrious and healthy lifestyle because of your heart? 4a) What types of food do you eat to keep your heart healthy in other areas? 5) If you had to take away one life lesson from your heart condition, what would it be? 5a) What would you want people to learn from your situation with your heart?
I tried keeping it all heart related, and personal to you as a survivor of congenital heart disease. ^_^

This is great thanks for asking! 1) Well I have a pacemaker/defibrillator now, Medically I cant have MRIs CAT scans (not as bad but still could mess my machine up) 2) I have not discussed that with a doctor. I sure there are Risks though. 3)God did it 100 Percent. they went to pull the plug after trying and trying to get me off of a breathing machine but nothing worked, as soon as the plug came out of the wall i was breathing on my own! I like saying i am a survivor. With my non christian friends that how a conversation starts. 4) having a healthy life style does help! 4a) I am a vegetarian and Ive cut out meats. I eat different types of beans instead. I feel better, not as tired. 5) let me think about this one. Ill get back to you smile 5A) also let me think and get back to you smile
