I tried to dictionary.com it but nothing came up.

What are these? Or what is the definition??
Its mentioned quite a bit in the Which Witch is Which? book.

Deosil: sunwise/clockwise
Widdershins: counter-clockwise

Widdershins: counter-clockwise

This is only for the Northern Hemisphere.

Deosil means "sunwise", and Widdershins means "against the sun". So if you're in the Southern Hemisphere, deosil is counter-clockwise, and widdershins is clockwise.
