So over the years its plain to see that our NPC's have not had the best run in love and dating advice. LMAO poor things. So It made me wonder if anyone had any really funny stories to share about love, since its valentines... heart So how about it guys? Horror stories, funny stories, really bad advice, naff valentines presents?

I've been with the same person for the past 10 years (we met in H.S.), and so while I count it as a lucky thing that I've been spared the majority of what I'd consider a fair allotment of dating horrors, I don't have very many funny stories. I could probably share a few interesting things about our relationship, but I'm all too aware of the permanence and public nature of the internet, so I will give you this small summary of what my "getting fancy" has boiled down to. It made me giggle when I realized it: "Hey, it's Valentine's Day! I'll use the GOOD hairgel and really spike my hair up!" >_>

Yes, I suppose that makes sense! I just haven't used hair gel in sooooooo long! But I did have gel with different levels of strength.

I was mostly just babbling to get the thread going XD I used to have waist long hair, then shaved it off, and then grew it out just long enough to discover the joys of jabbing your enemies with spiked up hair X3

That's the best thing I heard all day! You make me want to get my hair cut short again. I am trying to see how long I can possibly get it before I go insane! I don't know if I can pull off REALLY long hair though. Not many guys can. Oh boy, I just realized that I keep posting back in a thread that has nothing to do with me! I have no romance horrors. Though Maybe I have a few horror stories without the romance xd

You shower, you towel dry, you smear some gunk in it to make it stand up, and voila. You're done. I think no matter what, you have to have a certain face-shape to pull off long hair. I look really bad with it, and I also hated the maintenance. My partner had waist-long hair, but it looked a little crazy loose and needed a braid. Looks much better shoulder-length, now, I think. Oh, but you reminded me of the horrors of growing it out. I tried, after I cut it all off that first time. I thought "I'll grow it out again, maybe try something new." Ugh. I couldn't do it. Once it hits that shaggy phase it's just.. game over. Buzz it off!! Good luck with growing yours out! I think it's okay to veer off topic? Since the point is to chat, anyway? And we can always veer back on track if someone pops in with a story.. Though I AM curious about your non-romantic horror stories. Share share! X3

Short hair is more convenient and everyone used to tell me that I looked better with shorter hair but I have always liked mine a little bit longer. Then one day I missed a haircut and I haven't felt the need to get another one. That was last October! xd My hair is the longest it's ever been and now I just want to see how long I can get it. It's an experiment of laziness and curiosity! rofl I'm 20 its time to try something new! Yeah, I am still at that shaggy phase. In fact I have been told I look like the character from scooby-doo! Whiskers and all! Off subject but certainly pertinent! Thanks! I need all the luck I can get! Yeah! I am sure its okay to drift, perhaps I will come back with a story tomorrow! I have to jump-start my memory!

I have just had my hair chopped myself. I look dreadful with it long I think... @ryuko maybe start a horror stories thread? lol. I have a mushy story... Me and my bloke do romance our way... Like for a surprise present he came home from work one day with a near complete set of Pokemon TY plushies for me heart

Agh, this flu is still leaving me all muddle-headed >.< Oh wow, since October? That takes dedication. I'm sure you'll make it at that rate! :3 Are you going to be growing out a beard, too? That is fantastic! If he takes the time to figure out what you're into enough to be able to buy you things from it, that's great, I think.

I've been together with my special lady for 3 and a half years, and it's almost all been online. Seen each other a few times, but mom still doesn't like her much because of how the relationship started -w-" Doesn't change the way I feel about her any, though.

@ Nights: Haha, good to know Nights! I'm a very off-topic kinda guy. I'm afraid to start any thread like that on my own, seeing how little has happened to me in my twenty years. Funny stories is probably more my thing, though I think I have a few romance stories that belong to other people. They should be a worth a telling. Aw, that is sweet. A guy who knows your fandom and understands you. xd @ sequentverdure: Ah! Sorry to hear about your illness! I hope and pray you get better soon! The flu is no fun at all. Haha, it hasn't really gotten too long yet, it just happens to be the longest I have ever let it grow! Ah, yes, I am growing out my beard--such as it is-- as well. Hair only seems to grow on my chin making me look even more like This guy@Alex: Major props dude! You are blinding us with the purity of your love! It doesn't matter how the relationship starts, just the amount of effort put into it. biggrin

He not only understands but enjoys too... a while into the relationship I mentioned Pokemon, he was OK about it (I was always getting stick for it from my ex's like how lame I was) so I brought him Black and the limited edition DS so we could play together, a week later I got a phone call from him ranting about jiggly puff ( I was confused as you can't get them in black till near the end) He had enjoyed it so much he went and watched the cartoon! I was proud and happy. He loves Pokemon now its bliss! heart [quote="sequentverdure] Yeah we share a lot of interests but the things we can't we still talk about. We are happy it makes the other happy and will listen and try to give support/feedback its all about harmony. 3nodding We are a pretty good fit. (IMO)

That's a riot! What an excellent example of giving your love's interests a chance! Now, if only I could find a woman who Loves Jesus, Likes Doctor Who and Listens to New Order. Haha, only the first one has any kind of importance whatsoever! heart
