The Uchiha Caravan seemed to stretch as far as the eye could see. The supplies gathered, the injured, as well as the Survivors all were being transported in rather large wagons. Those who were not in the wagon's were walking next to them as they traveled to the mountain village.

((You are either walking along with the Caravan, or in a wagon of your choosing. They are large enough that all the PC could theoretically be in the same wagon if you choose to be))

Umbra Uchiha

As Umbra walked through alongside the caravan she kept an eye open for any possible threats that would take advantage of people in trouble. Despite the keen eye that she held for her surroundings, she was distracted with the day’s events and what they brought with them. She suddenly found herself without family and she was honestly not sure what to think about that, they weren’t all that close honestly, but the fact that she would never see them again left strange feelings in her gut. She was also thinking about what the old timer said about the chakra natures. She wasn’t sure what he meant when he told her that she needed precise chakra control to be able to unlock her second element, but the thought intrigued her, and she found herself momentarily distracted in bits and clips trying to figure out how to find out what her second element was. Umbra looked around once more before she started to funnel chakra into her arm, she snapped her fingers softly to bring out the fire element in small amounts, she didn’t want to attract too much attention to herself. Her superiors might just want to take her face off for not being on full guard while she was walking alongside the caravan. She was only getting her fire element, what did the old fart mean? She wasn’t sure how she was supposed to find this other chakra nature that was inside of her… maybe if she experimented with altering her chakra in a slightly different manner while she summoned it? That might work… Umbra paused to look around again to at least attempt to do what she was here to do, then turn her half attention back to the manipulation of her chakra. She started to slowly experiment with her chakra like she was prone to doing when she discovered her jutsus. She was starting to grow dull with the process and was about to give up in favour of taking full watch for the caravan until she felt something different and noticed something that was out of the ordinary when she produced that tiny bit of flame again. It was small, but it was clearly there and when she saw it out of the corner of her eye, her mind had to pause for a moment to register what she had just stumbled across. She had just made a spark, not fire amber, mind you, but something else entirely. Something had reacted to the way she manipulated her chakra and it came out slightly as something else. Umbra looked around again, more out of a sudden worry that someone maybe paying a little too close attention to her or perhaps noted the lack of discipline in the line. When she was satisfied she focused more on what she was trying to do, she was on the verge of another discovery and she was more than happy to evolve it and make it her own like she did with the rest of her jutsu.

Umbra continued to manipulate her chakra, little by little she started to experiment and turn the key to unlocking a new ability. At first her success was minimal as she was able to get a few sparks mixed in with her fire. She paused for a moment, looking around once more to make sure that she was not spotted ‘goofing off’ nor was there anything out of the ordinary near the caravan that might be a threat. Once satisfied she turned her attention back to what she was doing and continued her minute changes in the makeup of her chakra to fully be able to use that second element. She continued to get little to no success for the next little while, but she kept trying and experiment… she was close, she could feel it in her being. Slowly and little by little the fire was holding more and more of the lightning that had awoken from her. She became stuck a little bit when she was unable to get this new element separated from her fire style, because it was mixing with the fire, the lightning element was becoming diminished and not as effective as it should be, and because it was born from her fire element it couldn’t be claimed as its own element. Umbra slowly started to manipulate her chakra to wean off the fire element and feed the lightning more with the chakra that was not being used for her fire. It was actually becoming a tedious process, not so much hard as it was slow and monotonous in its execution. However, she was starting to make good progress and was beginning to see the fruits of her labours. Lightning was becoming more and more predominant in the small gather of fire that she was experimenting with, though the task was draining, she wasn’t wasting too much chakra, much to her delight. She continued to fiddle with this damn thing until she had only a little bit of fire in her lightning element. It was odd that the lightning wasn’t as tiring as the fire was… maybe it was just feeding off the environment more than the fire was. Umbra decided that now was the time to put the nail of this coffin and let the chimera of her creation die off, she looked around once more and concentrated chakra into her hand once more, she manipulated the chakra like she was doing previously, except she took the fire style life blood away from it, allowing it to fully manifest as the element that it was meant to be. She fueled the lightning that was coursing up her arm, she noted that it was too weak and allowed more chakra flow to be consumed by the elemental ability to give it slightly more life to it. Umbra discovered quickly, much like her fire element, that the lightning element was not something that should be played with as lightly as she was playing with it right now. It was something that was going to need ones full control and undivided attention. The lighting that she allowed to crawl up her arm arched onto the ground beside her and licked numbness up her arm that she allowed it to go. Umbra jumped slightly in surprise, much to the amusement of the Uchiha that were following her. She straightened up and masked the embarrassment that she felt with that little slip up. Still, she was relatively pleased with herself and her accomplishments that she achieve. Right now, though, she decided to keep her full attention to the surrounding area for the remainder of the trip.

Ijimeru's feet paddled behind the caravan, her eyes no longer red with Sharingan, but exhausted, her tiny form mulling in its skin. She wanted something different, something to change, but as for now, she was stuck in this form. And all she could do was wonder about Senri. Senri. And the little snake that now resided in her tummy. Her hands wandered to her pudgy child stomach, pinching the baby fat experimentally, before looking to Haruki with a heart-melting smile.

She paused, and looked at the tatters of her robes, and then to Haruki, who was faring no better, before pausing. "Haruki." Ijimeru paused, and couldn't think of what to say, the childish squeak unfamiliar to her. "You...need medical attention. Perhaps...I think I still have of Senri's poison in what little I have left. It would numb the pain."

Haruki walked silently next to Ijimeru, not particularly watching where they were going, he had a fair assumption of where they were going anyway. Tried as he might, he watched Ijimeru with unflinching and unwavering eyes. Never straying too far from her person if at all, however with how tired he was it might just change. As he watched her, she poked at her stomach to which he arched an eyebrow; he wasn't sure if this was because she was unhappy with the new found pudgy nature that is indicative of a child's body.

He himself was unsure of how he felt about that, in fact this was the first girl other than his sister Ai he had been even remotely close to. To top it off, it was a little girl he was bound to, emotionally, and metaphysically. When she spoke his name, his vision regained his focus and clarity that he had not known he lost.

Her voice was very unfamiliar to him, it was high pitched, squeaky even. It caused him to wince a little before grinning even more, her sultry voice was now reduced to this. And with that thought the dagger was buried into his abdomen, twisting around his insides and leaving him in despair and woeful agony. However, even Ijimeru would not see this, all she would see is Haruki's gentle smile. Coupled with that smile she had now that only children could give, his expression was of true emotions shrouding his inner turmoil.

For he was a being of not one, but two pains, sorrows and torments. As she looked at herself and then to him he realized that she was looking for the right words, or simply any words at all. She would likely remain in shock for half of the journey, most of these people were. Haruki, however, was not in shock. One had to be in reasonably good health to experience shock or even five strides away from Death's door.

He pulled at his shirt to reveal the collar of Senri's design, flashing a hollow smile of mischief and mockery.

"I believe that I have had plenty of poison for now M'Lady, yet, your offer is too kind. I humbly decline, in favor of you using it for yourself when it is needed."

The smile died and evaporated from his face, leaving a calm and complacent mask of indifference. It was what he had to do, for Ikurah had been screaming inside of his mind for hours now. Weeping and sobbing, howling and laughing, screaming and raving; all because of Senri's death and her hollow rebirth. His Hebi would not let an idle taunt aside. His Hebi would have punished him profusely for his assault on her bound form! His Hebi... was gone. Her eyes so vacant, no malice, no mirth, no idle curiosity remained within her when he saw her for that brief passage of time. Nothing... and that nothingness burned at his fractured and unraveled mind, like the molten pit of the earth's core.

Haruki looked at Ijimeru before scooping her up under her arms from behind. Using the last of his energy he jumped into a wagon that was filled with box of supplies and sacks of rice and grain with a small clearing. However, he jumped too hard and had to quickly turn so that his back slammed into the grain and not his face and Ijimeru.

A groan escaped his lips like a beaten dog, he was broken, diseased and had not told Ijimeru he was soon to suffer Senri's fate, minus the rebirth. He held Ijimeru close as he lay in the wagon, locking his legs and arms around her form. The kunai still up his sleeve thanks to Ikurah's twitchy behaviour was present and available.

"Prince.....Iji... I think I need to rest.. for a little while... I'm so damn tired.. and I need... to ...."

With a small -THUNK- his head lolled back into the crates and he was lightly snoring.

Her eyes widened at Senri's collar, and at Haruki's simple smile, listening as he spoke of poison...It couldn't be. No. Not that. Anything but that. But as she looked, he was wobbling, scooping her tiny body up in his arms so delicately, and jumping to the wagon with food stores in it, landing heavily on his back, so much so that she could have sworn it had crunched.

Her poor lover, reduced to this, holding her closely to his body, wrapped around her like she would disappear. And here she was more worried that HE would disappear, his eyes rolling in the back of his head as he passed out, tender words attempting to light from his lips as exhaustion and chakra loss kicked in.

Her worst fears were taking root, and Ijimeru began to shake Haruki lightly, until he snored. She breathed a sigh of relief, and began to inspect the collar on his neck. Senri's designs, of course, were perfection. Utter perfection. But Senri had not been herself, not at all...the pact with the snakes had left her nearly lifeless. Those wondrous eyes of hers were dead...

Soon, Ijimeru was struggling from Haruki's arms, pushing him away as her feet fell asleep. But it was to no avail; he was wrapped tight around her body and refused to let go. That's when she remembered Senri's warning...no direct skin contact. She could feel her body sapping him of his chakra, and she struggled and groaned with her tiny body to move from his grasp. She couldn't kill Haruki. Not now. Not ever. Not even if she had to.

Her struggling was vain and she screamed with tension, her own chakra finally dropping to normal with a loud pop, leaving her in Haruki's arms, in little more than shredded rags, in this hell hole caravan. She pushed herself out of his grasp, and lay splattered on the floor, her rags barely covering her body. And, with a shiver, she launched herself from the food cart onto the road, legs wobbling again at the new found lengths.

Once she was out, she moved about the carts, looking for something more decent than the rags she worse, and she found it-things in her size, scavenged for what was left of her home. And once she had changed, Ijimeru moved back to the cart with Haruki inside, fretting over him. Her gloves kept off most of the contact, but she was still fearful of what might happen if she touched him for too long. But the collar on his neck reminded her of Senri.

And usually, when it came to Senri, the things that she made were made to kill, not disable.

Haruki awoke with a start to see his Ijimeru fretting over him. That couldn't be right she was now in the form of a child, wasn't she? He wiped the sweat from his brow and blinked his eyes to clear his vision. Sure enough he was conscious and this was indeed Ijimeru. Forgetting they were alone his voice cracked rather hoarsely,

"Princess? How.."

His voice fell silent as he mouth and throat made him aware of just how dry it was. He tried to clear his throat and felt as if a cucumber wrapped in sand paper was expelled from his esophagus into his mouth. Weakly lifting his hand to stave off Ijimeru from his violent coughing fit.

He looked at his hand, vision blurry but one thing was clear enough, his blood coated the inside of his hand. Trying to hide it from her he decided to let Ijimeru see his prize. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a scroll. Within that scroll he opened it stopping at two symbols, both read "scroll". One of them was elegant and written in blood, while the second was written in ink.

Reaching his clean hand towards to the ink drawn character, he released enough chakra to release a secondary scroll. It seemed Haruki suspicion and caution was boundless. Unraveling the second scroll, there were two characters, both read box. Releasing them both in turn, they were left with two metallic cases between the two of them.

He opened the box on the right first, containing his water and food rations that he had received from Senri while on the island. He handed the lion's share of both to Iji, taking only what he needed to speak clearly and keep the hollow void slowly devouring him from the gut out sated.

He leaned his head back for a moment, relishing in the break. Haruki had no idea of how long he had been asleep, but any amount after a week without stopping was better than continuing on. He opened weary eyes to gaze at Ijimeru, who looked distraught over his appearance.

"I am sorry to make you wear such sorrow over my appearance, had I the strength I would have conjured a guise to spare you the fret."

Her form was oddly wrapped. Exposing skin as she was fond of doing, yet covered in the main points of initiated contact from her end. As if she still wanted to show off, but did not actually touch anyone, while still allowing touch. His eyes were bloodshot and worse, but his incriminating gaze still penetrated even the minute details.

It was then he remembered her touch now caused lingering effects, much like the rogue, only of lives did she steal their essence from in order to sustain herself. Else it would consume her until control was lost. Eyeing her with concern, he resealed the case on the right and placed it back within the scroll he retrieved it with a small puff of smoke.

"When was the last time you fed? ... You must keep up your ...strength my love.... I can still feed you.."

It was clear that Haruki was putting on a brave face for Ijimeru. He was drained, had it not been for the sleep and that first mouth full of water, he would have looked like someone embalmed him while alive. He chapped lips showed the signs of his dehydration, and it looked as if he had lost twenty to thirty pounds. He was gaunt and looked ghastly, but he was still willing to feed his princess.

----------------------------------------------TRAINING------------------------------------------------
Awaiting her answer he opened up the second case by apply his thumbs to the seals and releasing chakra into them. With a click and the sound of gears tumbling into a coordinated alignment, a metallic dance of sorts, the locked opened their grasp to reveal the prize from inside.

His precious earnings, through treachery and deceit, risk and pride and above all meticulous planning; he had won this box.
"Some assembly required indeed..." He picked up the various bits of metal, rods and screws, bolts and washers, all of them a conglomeration of unspoken chaos; refusing to give him an even the slightest inkling of an idea to which direction he need to approach this.

Well men don't need directions anyway! He began by meticulously placing all of the pieces in assorted piles, separating them by height, thickness, weight, functionality and purpose. To anyone else it would seem as if his piles were sifted through at random, but Haruki could see it all. There was an invisible pattern and a method to their madness.

Ikurah just underneath the surface, watching through Haruki's eyes without usurping control of their entity. After that was finished Haruki began to assemble the pieces one by one, interconnecting them and slipping pieces together. Screwing bits into place here and there, he activated his Sharingan and could suddenly see everything in stark clarity. As if he had been in a dimly lit basement, wearing someone else's prescription sunglasses; not everything was in a fuller technicolor and so sharply in 3D. He rapidly began to assemble the contraption together with a smile as his wearing arms sped along with renewed vigor under the mirthful red gaze of his Sharingan.

There it was. The acute smell of blood lingered in the air, for just a moment. And though she had been gone for just a few minutes, no longer than perhaps a quarter of an hour, Haruki looked extremely emaciated. He looked like he was dying, her poor crow. The luster had gone from his eyes, though he still tried to take care of her. His voice nearly caused her to burst into tears. Her poor lover, reduced to this state.

"Haruki. You are not strong enough....Senri has fed me enough for one day." Her hands gestured to the water skin near him, and she picked it up. "You should take better care of yourself..." Ijimeru's eyes misted red, tears of blood seeping from her eyes. The earlier events had taken their toll on her body, and she was exhausted. But Haruki, he was in pain, and her bloodied tears cried themselves, mixing with salted droplets that ran in rivulets down her cheeks.

He instead began to open his scrolls, the scent of blood hanging sweet in the air. Ijimeru's curious eyes stared over the monstrosity he was building. He activated his Sharingan, again, too much in one day. His body couldn't handle it. And though HAruki had diligently worked, quickly and efficiently, Ijimeru wouldn't have him killing himself in front of her.

The new attire provided ample space to hold things, though keeping them hidden was another story. So when Ijimeru pulledthe senbon needles from the straps of her new uniform, it became apparent she meant business. Her eyes, still bloody, turned to Haruki, and she held a needle tightly in her hand as she spoke softly.

"Haruki. Stop."

Haruki was looking at his contraption, all the pieces falling together, seeming familiar yet the purpose illusive to his understanding. Like trying to grasp find sand, you know that it is sand, but you have mere granules to look at when the sandbox contains the bigger picture. With all that he had accomplished, Ijimeru explained how he could feed her because he did not have the strength. This was true but he wouldn't accept anything less from his duty.

However, as she explained that Senri had fed her enough that she was fine, he seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. He had taken no real look at himself, or had even noticed his state of being. Yet, when he looked up and saw Ijimeru's pinkish bloody tears running with the consistency of tears, diluting the purity of the substance into and entangled mesh that ran down her face and ruined her complexion, it filled his heart with sorrow.

He was causing this. Her renewed source of pain was his doing, he started to speak to her and in the middle of his sentence was interrupted.

"I cannot simply... Princess I need to still be.. hrrnng.. How?! It was because we stopped that we lost her, it was because in this poor excuse for a warriors body that I failed to pull her from hell myself. I was slow, weak and inept, because of Haruki and because of this ******** curse! So I ask again, how can we stop now, knowing how weak we really are?"

His pupils inside the red iris Shraingan were blown, Ikurah looked... off. He was more zealous than she had ever bore witness to him. He was, memorized, enraptured and completely obsessed with this design for power. More so than that of a typical Uchiha, it was like he had lost something or was trying to right some wrong and needed the power now more than ever.

The question was what? What loss could he have suffered, the Stranger had nothing precious, and no possessions. Everything available to him was technically Haruki's first. And Ikurah was never one to care about the chaos he committed unto existence itself, so what could be driving him so. Ijimeru through shock still probably had no idea how madly in love he was with Senri.

More obsessive and all consumed into the idea of her being than even Haruki was to Ijimeru. If Ijimeru ever asked for Haruki's eyes, it would be the one thing to break him, the one thing he could not do and therefore undo himself because he could not willingly hand them to her while alive.

Ikurah was a different zealot of harsh insanity and cloud misguidance. Senri needed only to insinuate with an idle gesture she wanted something from him and he would give her, everything. Yet, she never asked, and he always tried to give offerings to the dark goddess of the serpents. Like the last worshiper of fallen god Ikurah was ever faithful and committed to Senri. Simply for the fact that she noticed him. The first person in all of his existence to not dismiss him as someone else or another person's problems.

His stare into Ijimeru's eyes was almost offsetting. The Stranger stared through her, into the depths of her soul and beyond, into the undeceiving darkness that held the real creature of their being. He sought an answer from her there. Before dropping his gaze and continuing to piece together his contraption with alarming speed for someone who was starting to resemble gandi in a teenagers body.

If Ijimeru was planning on pinning him down, or disabling him now was the time to do so.

"My reasoning is sound, if I am strong I am not weak, if I am not weak, I do not lose things. That is all, simple really... hehehe.. ahem, pardon the ahhAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAHAaahaha.... HEM.. crazy.. pfff=fft-ffft-ffft-ftt."

It was clear now more than ever that something was very wrong with the boy and the two personalities warring over control of the diminishing vessel, to which it seemed clear was not big enough for both of them to remain.

Umbra Uchiha

As Umbra continued to walk alongside the caravan, she was still trying to unlock her sharigan through sheer will power and force. No matter what she tried though, she wasn’t getting anything out of it but sore and itchy eyes for her trouble. Umbra puzzled over what she was doing wrong, her ignorance came from not actually having a family that could use a sharigan, she couldn’t learn from their experience nor was she told the secrets that a lot of the other clansmen were privy too when it came to learning and experience. Umbra pulled up her right hand to cover her right eye, giving it some shelter from the glaring light and giving it a chance to cover. Umbra’s eye reflected annoyance and frustration though her stoic mask remained untouched. She looked around to make sure that there was nothing going to happen anytime soon, but eventually relaxed a little bit, she wondered who this Ijimeru was? She was supposed to be her superior but she had no idea who she even was, let alone what she looked like… well, she knew of Ijimeru, she heard rumours of the bratling that was humbled by a genin. Not a hopeful or promising thought to her if her so called superior was taken out by someone who was her own underling. Umbra lowered her hand and continued to march alongside along the caravan, the wind was starting to get a cold bite to it and winter cloaks were starting to get passed out among the soldiers, Umbra took the wolf pelt that was given to her so that she didn’t freeze, she threw it over her shoulders and continued her disciplined march forwards. She remembered the words to the old man that she talked too previously about the place that they were going. Was there going to really be an emerging of the clans or was it going to end in some level of conflict? Would this branch of the clan be accepted into the other or would there be a power struggle right off the bat? It was hard to tell, but perhaps something good would come out of all this despite what the old man had told her previously.

~Fire is my soul.....~

Takeo awoke with a start. His last memory had been of finding a large lake that was a red brown color and hearing some fighting. After that everything else was dark. He took stock of where he was now. Fabric was surrounding him and his head felt like someone had shoved a nail through it. Thankfully someone had bandaged his head up for him. He could feel movement as though he was in a wheeled wagon. Wait, where was he?
He moved slowly to the hole up ahead in the wagon to get a look at where he was. A man was driving the wagon just outside the flab so Takeo got his attention by tapping his shoulder. "Hey, where is this going? What's going on?"

Mitsuko sat in one on the wagons with her mother. Her father was out walking with the guards instead.

Her mother was talking about some more advanced genjutsu she'd teach her when they got to a new site for the village, Mitsuko just nodded in response. Right now, genjutsu wasn't what she wanted to do. She wanted to get out and help the guards, she was dying to actually fight something since she hadn't trained in over a week now.

She tuned back into the conversation, hearing her mother say a few words that got her interested again. "Your sister was always dedicated to using genjutsu, it was her means of stopping a fight without killing someone for her."

Mitsuko looked over at her mother with a smile. "Yeah, but she had her sharingan fully unlocked. I don't even HAVE mine." She joked.

"Someday you will, and that's why i'm teaching you genjutsu." Her mother said, an even bigger smile forming.

As Takeo sat up and touched the man driving the wagons shoulder; the man turned and looked at the boy with a confused look. Wondering how in the hell he didn't know what was going on.... maybe he got hit on the head harder than some of the others; then again he didn't know that the boy had been out of the village at the time of the attack. "We are on our way to the other Uchiha Village" the man said simply to the boy. "And you were knocked out cold at one point or another; explaining why you were here rather than walking around"

He was continuing his tirade, begging, pleading with her to continue his work. And yet, he was switching, uninhibited by constant motion of his personalities jarring, the two people locked in his emaciated body struggling for control. Ijimeru began to cry harder, though she would not sniffle or make another sound. And once again, just for Haruki and her Stranger, she repeated herself.

"I told you, dearest. It's just Ijimeru. Never Princess. And I asked you to stop, please."

She was nearly begging him, falling to her hands and knees. Ijimeru began to crawl towards him, and as he begged her to not mind his crazy, she raised the needles in her hands, blood coursing hotly in her veins. She'd asked him, she'd tried. And her beloved would kill himself, or she would end up doing that for him. Ijimeru only wanted the best for him, and she wished to show him this. So she did what she had to, so they would survive.

Ijimeru stabbed him, through his hands, using the needles she had in hers to pin him onto the wall, narrowly avoiding the tendons and major muscles that would form hand signs. Here Haruki was, crucified onto the back of the wall of the cart, blood in his palms. She began to laugh, and sat back in horror of what she'd done, rocking her body softly in time with the bumps in the road.

"I'm so sorry, Haruki. I had to. I had to, you understand? I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry my love."

Her hands covered her face, ashamed of what she had to do. The pink streaked on her face, and Ijimeru felt like her mind was on the verge of shattering. First Senri, now Haruki...how many more people would she have to hurt that she cared for? Who else would damage themselves for her sake? Her frame began to shake, sorrow pouring out.

No home, nothing other than a name and a useless title, and barely useful people...what was going to be left of the great Uchiha?
