Hey everyone, don't know if anyone's this far yet, but I'm having some trouble beating this one chick named Orgulla. I was soooo close to beatin' her the first time I battled her, but MOMO got killed and couldn't heal my people anymore... anyone have any good strategies to beat 'er or any helpful tips?

Do you know Orgulla's zone weakness? What level are your characters?...all of them. And what is your standard party?

Orgulaa's first stance has a zone of BCBB and suggested party is Shion, Kos-Mos, and then Jin. This stance is weak against Ether attacks and thunder. Stock all you characters and then pound her with a combo using everyone (you should have one character move in back if possible) After a while she changes stances, her new zone is CBB. This time replace Shion with Ziggy, very important, and someone like Jr. or Momo if HP is high enough to withstand a serious beating. Again stock and unleash a combo on Orgulla. If she is still alive just keep repeating the process with either stance. Try to defeat her in her second stance so that you can double the amount of gained class points.

Ok here's my big long strategy for beating this particular boss (someone on the zenosaga boards asked for help on it so I figured I'd just copy my post from there):
The first time I played ep2 in June Orgulla took me forever to beat, I ended up spending several hours leveling up and still the battle was difficult. The second time through it took me hardly any time at all, maybe just 10 rounds if that. And when I played it today it was equally easy. The thing to keep in mind with her is speed. One of the more often recomended parties consists of Jin, Ziggy, and KOS-MOS, the biggest downside of the party (and why I rarely use more than one of its members at any given time) is that all three are terribly slow. Orgulla on the other hand is very fast, especially in Manes mode. Using characters like MOMO and Jr. is generally a better idea because they're much faster, I recomend KOS-MOS as the third member because of her high HP and because she can "Air" Orgulla (if you didn't already know, neither Jr. or MOMO can Air/Down), any of the other slow but high HP characters will probably work (Jin might be better than Ziggy because I think he's a little faster -- though the party I tend to stick with is MOMO, Jr. and KOS-MOS). Next make sure you have the following skills/ethers: - Ice Coat - Blade Coat - Spear Coat - Thunder Sword - Fire Sword The more characters that you have these equipped on / learned the better. The first three will greatly lower the damage you take from Orgulla's attacks. And the last two will up your attack effectiveness. Of course Medica, Medica 2, Medica All, and Revert are also extremelly helpful on multiple characters so you can combine ethers (if you don't know how - it's rather simple, when it's one character's turn. boost the other character who has the ether you want to double, go into the ether menu and hit triangle next to the ether you want to use. Another menu will appear showing the effect of the double ether, hit O to use it. Keep in mind, however, that double ethers take EP from both parties and don't work for all ethers). Once the battle begins cast Thunder Sword on each character, keep in mind that it doesn't last forever so you have to act quickly. Promptly stock all characters up to 3 and try to get at least one boost (it's not absolutely nessicary, but if one of your characters' stock is full before the others use him/her to use basic attacks to build up boosts while the other characters comptete stocking). Initiate the combo with KOS-MOS and boost up MOMO (she's weaker against ether in her first form, so MOMO with Thunder Sword still in effect will cause massive damage), have MOMO go through her stock, boost Jr. and have him do the same. If you have any boosts left, continue to boost your characters and attack Orgulla why you can, it might be wise to leave one boost for an emergency if you need to use Double Medica 2. After that she'll probably switch over into Manes mode. Orgulla is much faster and more dangerous in this mode, though it seems that she's a little easier to dodge (though when attacks land they can hurt). If you have Ice Coat and Blade Coat equipped it can help tremendously. Use the same basic stragegy as for the first mode but use Fire Sword instead. Don't hesitate to take a moment to heal your characters when nessicary, Double Medica 2 is especially helpful (having MOMO cast it or boosting MOMO to cast it will increase it's effectiveness quite a bit). Once all characters are stocked to 3 (since the break combo is only 3 zones as opposed to 4 this time, if nessicary you can begin when KOS-MOS only has two stocked). Initiate with KOS-MOS again but boost Jr. first since Orgulla is weaker againt pierce attacks when in Manes mode, next boost up MOMO and have her attack through her stock and continue to boost characters with any remaining boosts. In all likelyhood she'll be nearly dead after that (if not dead already), if she still has a concideralbe ammount of HP left, you may want to repeat the process of stocking and boosting (don't forget to recast Fire Sword or Thunder Sword depending on what mode she's in), though it might be wiser to just attack normaly or stock once to get the break combo. She should be dead in just a few rounds. If you just keep in mind that you want to kill her as quickly as possible you should be fine. After your second big combo don't be too conservative with your HP, if she's under 1000 (or just barely above) don't be afraid to just pound her rather than taking a turn or two to heal, a lot of times the effort is just wasted with her next attack -- also, though I could be remembering incorrectly, I *think* she can heal herself in one form when she's low on HP to something like 6000 so those last few hits really depend on speed. On a related note, if you need to level up, a good spot is at the top of the tube maze. There is a Vive enemy just next to the first yellow tube down. Since it's near the top of the maze (which has a save point and an exit) it's a particularly good enemy to level up with. Simply fight the Vive, go down the first yellow tube down, go over to the first blue tube up, and up one more blue tube and you should be back at the top where you can run past the save point to restore your HP/EP and exit and re-enter for the Vive to respawn. Repeating the process is a relatively safe and effective method of leveling up, it can get a bit tedious, but you don't have to worry about wasting EP or items to restore your stats between battles.
Hope any of that helps (or makes sense, I'm horrible at explaining things like this).

All right. Thanks everyone. Um...just another quick question before I set to work on all of the strategies and such you gave me. What is the recommended level to battle her at?I'm probably far from it. 'cause I have the tendancy to just go through the game without leveling up. sweatdrop And Jin isn't really neccisary to use, right? I hate using him...'cause...well...to me he stinks. sweatdrop
And to answer your 'think' thing, shojokakumeii00, for me, she heals 4500.But in which mode,I forgot. sweatdrop
Thanks for the help,y'all.I'm gonna go level up and attempt to beat 'er.

You guys wanna hear something funny? I fought her 5 times and loset the first 4.. then I won the last one with everyone dead but Ziggy and he had like 50-100 HP left.. Basicly, whoever got the first turn did the final blow... I got lucky and won the match with no EP or items+ left and less then 100 HP. Oh and I also didn't use anything on the guide she posted.. lucky me.. if you don't use that stuff, she is hell but I thought about going back because the dead members didn't get any of the points for beating her but most likely, I won't and just will lvl up my guys on the final enemies. whee
Edit: Oh and the way I killed her was stock boost her up into the air and then beat the crappy out of her. I toke off like 1/4 of her HP that way.

She was pretty simple actually. Just stock everone full, get her in the air or down (a bunch of people on this page mentioned her break) and pummel her untill she is down. Try to steal the awakening II from her.
Make sure you have a lot of Medica All and Medica two.

When she is using her other personality (The stance with the blue sword) put Ziggy in the party and don't knock her into the air, knock her down instead. I got way more damage off of her that way. Using Ziggy (With all his stock fillled up) to attack her awhile she was down, I was hitting her for over 700-800 per hit and with three attacks in a row, Ziggy was knocking off over 2000 hp. For me, boost and stock was way more important than any other battle I fought. Seriously, consider using Ziggy. I was able to finish the battle in last than four minutes.
