To most of the people of Tarthesis, life is boring. For some it feels like the gods are making a game of their life. That's because they are, the gods of the realm have a great deel of fun spying out interesting people from the mortal plane and chosing them to 'champion'. No one really knows what the gods do after that but many think that they just play a little game, groups of gods against each other for whatever goal is decided upon.

The longest game ever played just ended when 5 champions ended a war between the countries of Elthis and Ganta. Around the world the other people who were championed felt their lives slip back into normality while these 5 got to keep their newfound luck, fortune, skill and abilites. This means one thing above all else, a new game is about to start and hundreds of people across the world will find their lives getting more interesting very soon.
