Sarah Williams

User Name: Phoenix Skyy
Character Name: Sarah Williams
Aliases: Sarah
True Love: Jareth
Enemies: Cora, Jareth, Mizumi, Irene
Likes: She adores fantasy and adventure, as those are her favorite genres of writing. Her favorite past-time is studying theater and practicing her art. Although she failed getting into Julliard her passion still runs through her veins and continues to act. And besides Jareth, she still enjoys her time in the Underground with her friends and adventures through the labyrinth.
Dislikes: She despises Jareth and his arrogance, when things aren’t fair, and when people take things of hers without returning it.
A little personal history: Her mother left her and father when she was about ten; by then her mother’s acting career had actively influenced her interests. This left her with a strong imagination, a course taken to lessen the pain and loneliness of her mother’s running off. As she aged, her imagination grew, creating fantastical worlds and adventures that later in life would become the books she would write. It was around this time that her father remarried Irene.
Irene proved to be dull and plain, quite unlike her mother who was lively and exciting even if only on the phone and rarely in person. Sarah was convinced her stepmother enjoyed chastising her, as if it was a favorite pastime of the woman. She found solitude with Merlin, the sheepdog, to be a blessing. The older she got, the less she spent time at the house, and rather the park nearby. It was a few years later that Toby was born and she felt she was doomed to be a perpetual babysitter. It was just this attitude, and taking her life for granted, that she wished Toby away and met Jareth face to face.
She rarely noticed the owl spying on her when she read to Merlin, when she practiced her lines from her play books. It was during her time in the labyrinth and discovering the strength of her will that she later came to notice the owl all that time was Jareth. She hated him for causing her so much pain in the Labyrinth, hated him for manipulating her in the Crystal Ballroom world, hated him for stalking her even after she succeeded solving his puzzles. But after some time he left her without a word, left without her noticing until some time later.
Her life was relatively peaceful, she spent most of her time with Jareth gone in drama club, acting many lead roles, and being a hopeful for Julliard. When her senior year came around, she interviewed for Julliard and invited them to the final show for the year. Unfortunate as it was, she was rejected and her dreams shattered. It was assumed by her family and close friends that the change in Sarah's personality was because of this, when in the Underground Jareth had Mizumi create an ablation of her dreams.
Long after Toby was whisked away to Underground, and she returned with Jareth, things returned to fairly normal when she reunited with Moppet, her ablation. Her memories returned to her, many of her emotions, dreams, and ambitions came back with a vengeance and she felt young again. She picked up writing and became popular with many of fantasy adventure series. She knew she could travel between both worlds, but she next got the chance to explore that chance.
Roleplay Sample:
A migraine woke her up. She shifted on the cold surface she was on and whined as she clenched her throat, coughing, hacking, through stale breath. How long had she been out? Her eyes fought to open and then to focus on her surroundings. Where in the hell was she and how did she--?
Now she remembered as she tried to speak. The older woman who lifted her and disabled her from moving. The light emanating from her mouth as her voice was drawn from her, it was painful, she remembered crying but making no noise. A small sphere no larger than the marbles she once played with floated before her. Through her tears she stared horrified, mystified at the small orb as it hovered, split in two, and began to scream without a voice as it returned to her. The pain of it returning was far greater than it being ripped from her. Even with the voice stripping through her throat to her voicebox, tearing everything with a searing heat, she was mute. Her screams were beyond being audible, just as she was beyond help. The other orb carried into the woman and she showed no pain at all. She was making it painful on purpose, Sarah realized, just as she passed out.
But here she was, in a forest, and no way of knowing how she got there. Picking herself up, Sarah dusted the dirt and leaves from her jeans and shirt, pulled the leaves from her hair. How long had she been asleep. Days it felt like, as if her body needed to adapt to the pain before her mind did. The pain was excruciating as it thumped in her temple, behind her eyes, causing her to back into a tree to rest upon. Damn this hurt, so did her throat, her body was stiff with the days of little to no use. With any luck she tossed her in sleep a little. Wouldn’t that explain the leaves in her hair? No... not necessarily. However she got here could’ve done it. how did she get here? That question kept recurring over and over in her head, and the more she tried to think about it, the more her head hurt. Sliding down the trunk of the tree, Sarah held her head in her hands asher elbows rester on her knees.
She silently hoped that soon she could think clearly, not think with pain in her or her throat. Her first move had to be water, then food. But for now, she let sleep take her again with quiet prayer for a migraine relieved, and even if this was a cruel game that he’d pay for, even if he was a part of it all (which she was definitely sure of, he enjoyed torturing her before, why not again?) she hoped Jareth was nearby.
