 They had been friends for ages and yet whilst he had actually started to feel more for Keahi and he hadn't actually done anything about it besides gift him with what the other probably thought was nothing but 'friendship gifts' so he sent a text to him asking him to meet him at the park, under the Cherry Blossom trees, there he had set up a picnic with all his favorite foods and drink with a rose set down in his place and then climbed the tree and waited for him, sitting on a branch, why? He was bored of waiting, he had to do something to pass the time.

 Keahi had no reason to expect anything out of the ordinary today. Nevertheless, because it was Blythe he was inclined to do things out of the ordinary. For example, his family was not inclined toward clothing. Because of Blythe, he had learned at least to appease him by wearing it. He still felt uncomfortable and restrained, but it was one of the few ways he could express some of the things he had pointedly not inherited from his father. Like his mother, he loved ruffles and fine fabrics and design, so naturally fashion was something that had begun to grow on him. The discomfort was a small price to pay. And besides, he still went nude at home. Blythe did not need to know that. He could believe all he wanted that he had reformed the foxcat. It was a lovely early spring day, and he was looking forward to seeing the cherries in bloom. More than that, as usual just seeing a text from Blythe had left Keahi's heart tripping all over itself. It had been this way for years, but because Blythe had never indicated that he felt anything more than friendship toward him (beyond perhaps the silly joke, ha-ha...), well, he contented himself with just this. He could never feel anything less than grateful for finding a friend in the buttercat. In a way he had set Keahi's mind free, and for that he would gladly wait forever. The trees finally came into view. The wind picked up a cascade of petals that as he approached, surrounded him, their delicate snow-pink contrasting with the wine-red and black of his fitted shirt. He looked around and saw only an abandoned pic-nic setting. No Blythe anywhere. Standing under the very tree Blythe now sat in, he called out to him, "Blythe!

Blythe had decided to go naked for once, given his friend was inclined to that more then he was, it was rather a liberating experience but he wasn't about to let on that he liked it, no, he still liked his clothes but maybe, sometimes, he would go naked...when no one else was at the Guest House which is hard to actually tell when that was with so many coming and going it was hard to find a right time to go naked or do anything else in privet. Blythe laid down on the branch of a tree and picked a branch of blossoms and waved it back and forth across the others head, lifting it every so often just to tease the cat hybrid but given that whilst he was a Buttercat he was also a tad clumsy so not paying attention he was starting to fall off the branch he actually did fall and whilst cats are meant to always land on their feet but, in this case, this cat didn't land on his feet and was thankful he just was on a lower branch "ow!" He said as he moved his neck from side to side and pushed his shoulder blades together to make sure he hadn't done any damage to it, thankfully though he was pretty certain he was alright, a bruise or two maybe but other then that he was sure he wouldn't need a chiropractor. "Hi..." he said in sheepish agony and opened one eye and smiling at the other "glad you could come" he said as he started getting up.

Keahi wasn't sure what shocked him more, that Blythe had fallen so hard out of a tree of all places, or that he was completely naked. Because it was Blythe, whom never went around naked (not to Keahi's knowledge!) it was most difficult not to stare. Most. Difficult. Thankfully Blythe was preoccupied with making sure he had not broken anything, so Keahi was able to get his wits about him and kneel beside him to help him rise. "Blythe! Are you all right?"

Blythe nodded "yeah, I am fine, maybe a tad bruised but fine" he said as he finished getting up and properly taking notice of the cat hybrid in front of him "so, someone has figured out what clothes are" he teased the other as he geld out his hand to the other "come, lets eat, we can talk over food" he said, not wanting some of the hotter food to get completely cold.

Keahi sighed with relief, then watched silently while Blythe looked him over. When he was finished, Keahi chuckled, "And that my dear is all your fault, of course." He followed, but a little surprised that the picnic had been for them both. "Oh why didn't you tell me you wanted a picnic? I would have helped!" he chuckled, then knelt down, taking note of some particular foods that he recognized as being favorites. He noticed the rose too and picked it up. A rose out of season is just as lovely... "Blythe, is something going on?"

"It pays to know a Gardner who can basically grow anything in or out of season...granted he uses magic but still, it works wonders when you want to gift someone" he said as he shook his head "my treat, besides, I didn't cook this all on my own, Kuri, one of the co runners of the house I am living at, helped me make the bulk of this. The hot stuff should still be hot, it just came out of the oven pretty much as I needing to walk out the door, I swear that rabbit knows how to time everything perfectly" he said as he placed a plate in front of him and himself and poured them a drink each "and just so you know, clothing suits you, should become a regular thing" he half teased the other.

Well, if Blythe wasn't going to answer him, Keahi knew better than to press the issue. He opened one of the containers (scalding himself) while he listened. "Well I appreciate all of it, absolutely. Maybe next time Inari's in town I'll have to do the same for you. He's traveled the world picking up all kinds of fun recipes," he grinned.
He also indulged the buttercat in his teasing. Keahi had been wearing clothing and getting used to it just for Blythe and if he didn't know that by now he never would. However, that is not to say that he would not comment. "If I look good in clothes, I have to say nude suits you as well. I knew you had some tattoos, but I did not realize how many there were."

((I totally missed that last part of your post ^^; And yay for happy kitty hybrid! XD Granted Blythe is happy as well albeit on the inside he is all O//////O XD)) "I should of gone with him! He is doing what I would LOVE to do but alas my funding is either paid for by myself when I go on trips or Muraki lends me the money and I pay him back so much a week from my pay, it takes ages that way but at least I know I can go to him whenever I want to take a trip if I haven't saved and he will fund it for me" he said as he looked at the hybrid next to him "though I would love to! Tasting exotic dishes would be fun!" He said as he took a sip of his drink. Blythe blushed a little "thank you but don't get used to it, it isn't an every day thing like you would probably want it to be" he said smiling at the other "and yes, my tattoos, something I got when I was younger, I was foolish and yet as much as I like them I do sometimes regret them" he admitted truthfully, he has lived with them this long so of course he loves them just that when he got them he wasn't in the right frame of mind so, as a kid, he should of waited till he was older to REALLY know what he wanted, oh well too late now. "And to answer your last question, this is just because" he said, deciding to not let anything be known, if he was wishing to plant a kiss on that hybrids lips before the picnic was over he had to at least keep some things a surprise.

Keahi pictured traveling so extensively (he never had) and nodded with a grin, "Wouldn't it be fun to actually go to the source to try all the exotic food! The atmosphere must be impossible to reproduce."
He glanced at Blythe and blushed darkly, wondering if he had shown some crude expression in his surprise at seeing his friend running around nude for the first time. He couldn't help feeling the way he did but it had never been his intention to make him uncomfortable (or worse, feel disgust about the foxcat). Thankfully the subject moved smoothly toward the tattoos. As attractive and tastefully they had been made, just imagining all the cosmetic surgery involved in removing all of them made him feel a little ill. "Why do you regret them?"
"Just... because?" He glanced around at the picnic spread, at all the effort that had been put into this (not to mention favors he must owe on account of it), and couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, whim or not I appreciate it, I really do." And, because he was who he was, how difficult it was to restrain himself constantly, and because he really did feel grateful, he leaned to the side so that he was shoulder-to-shoulder with Blythe, and kissed his cheek.

((LOL I agree! Blythe is a sexy kitty and granted he is mine anyway I too would want to run off with him. XD )) Blythe nodded "yes, it would! That is why I like to travel a lot...if I have the money, Muraki is kind to lend me it but still, I don't want to ask him all the time for it but maybe we could take a trip, it would be fun to travel a bit together. Maybe ride the gondolas in Venice or attend a Japanese Tea Ceremony or see the Great Wall in China or even go hang out with kangaroos in Australia! Then again, we could just take a year off of everything and do a word trip and spend a couple of weeks here and another couple there just experiencing everything the world has to offer" he suggested, it would be a dream come true but the only one who would be able to pay for that is Muraki and I would take five lifetimes to get the amount just for the tickets alone let alone accommodation or sight seeing or whatever but at least he could dream. "As I said, I was a kid when I got them, I never have liked the idea of tattoos, tasteful or not, I just never liked the idea of permanently marking your body but these, at least, have grown on me, I have gotten used to them and I do like them but still, at times, I do regret getting them only because sometimes they actually do still disgust me when I look into the mirror but I deal with them, happily live with them and love them because whilst I do hate them I don't want to fork out all that money getting them removed so it is easier to accept them, live with them and love them then forking out that money." He said as he blushed a little when the hybrid kissed his cheek and looked a way "it...it was nothing, really, Kuri was happy to help" he said as he picked up a chocolate covered strawberry and nibbled on it "you are welcome though" he said as he looked at the food, trying to calm himself down, it was easier to ponder what to eat next then look at the other male right now. ((I would say how Blythe is feeling but I think we already know. XD))

"Oh, that would be so nice..." He knew Blythe liked to travel, and did so quite frequently. In fact that was probably how he could put up with Keahi devoting himself so much to the cat pack (which, technically he had no jurisdiction over because of his mixed heritage). The foxcat could fantasize all he wanted but the fact of the matter was, this was probably the first time Blythe had ever mentioned wanting Keahi to come along with him. He was just too speechless on the matter to respond any more eloquently, he was too busy picturing it all.
It was too bad about the tattoos. They really were lovely but what Blythe told him now made sense. He had heard that people often regret their tattoos. They outgrew them, or they were never suited to the individual to begin with (or worse, had been drunk at the time, or drunk on love, one of the two), or it conflicted with a job... such a permanent mistake to make. "Would it be possible to have them changed so that they disgusted you a little less?" he ventured.
Blythe's reaction was vaguely surprising. Perhaps he was nervous because he had actually put more into this than he let on. If that was the case, Keahi should eat it with more gusto, to show how much he liked it... With that in mind he happily dug into his plate. "Mm, so good..."

((Ooo yay! I not be the only one who wishes to do a lot of Anthronapping then! Though I be bad that there are others I wish to Anthronap as well *eyes half of Raven and Jan's lot for a start*)) Blythe nodded "it would be..." he said softly, trailing off, thinking of talking to Muraki about this, that rabbit always lent him money for his trips and he has paid him back ever cent with usually 100% interest but this time, this time the trip would be different and he didn't want to just take Muraki's money without paying him back and he would but he was curious at least to see what he would say if he was to just to propose such an idea to the undead rabbit and see how much it would cost etc. "Probably, I would have to talk to a tattooist about it but I am sure it could be done for half the proce at least of what it would cost to have them surgically removed but, as I said, they have grown on me and the disgust thing is just a momentary thing really, it comes and goes and doesn't come back for a good while so I can live with them really, I have gotten used to them." Blythe looked at the other and giggled "you know, you don't need to kill yourself by choking to death" he said as he placed a hand on his arm in hopes it would stop him "please, eat slowly, I wouldn't want anything to happen to you" he said, finishing his strawberry and starting on a piece of sushi "it isn't a bad thing to eat slowly you know" he said smiling at the other. (Blythe: *Kisses his cheek, thinking he is cute when he is clueless* ^.^ )

(LOL! I haven't looked at those boys in ages xD )
"Then maybe I should talk to my father about it. He's been dropping hints that I should go abroad. I think he could help us out." He was certain Ignatius would have lots of suggestions for places to visit along the way.
He nodded, it would most likely cost a lot less to change them than to remove them... and scar him. He watched Blythe curiously. He really could not relate to going back and forth whether he hated or loved or merely tolerated them. It sounded like someone who didn't like some other feature about themselves, like their nose or height or feet. Perhaps that was all it was. He smiled; well, he liked them anyway, and whatever Blythe did or did not do about it, he would be all right with.
Choking? Keahi paused with a bite of food in his mouth. He had hardly touched it before. So then was it mostly for show? Well that was disappointing, everything smelled so good. "Ah, all right... I'll eat slower," he managed finally, then proceeded to nibble on a meat roll.

((I went through the old guild the other day and stopped at the old journal sub-forum, had to go through Jan and Raven's, couldn't help myself. XD
Sort of glad those two have left/semi left (I think Jan MIGHT still be around once in a blue moon) I know they are best friends in real life but I swear Jan just had to offer art to Raven and Raven was all 'ooo yes please!' Though, being her friend is a sort of given she would get it but others around here back in the day as well that were like that, always wanting Jan slots etc, it was rather bad.
Not that I blame them, Jan is a fantastic artist, but still, as much as she has pretty are it was terrible everyone went to her. ))
"Well that would be helpful, I will have to talk to Muraki but if it all works out we have packing to do!" He said a little excitedly, knowing he shouldn't get his hopes up but still, it would be perfect for them both! "Good, I want to take you away with me not your dead body...er...not that I am that morbid" he said as he finished his piece of sushi and started on a piece of quiche "and heres a question, if we go, where should we start and what mode of transportation? Cruise or flight? I think a cruise would be nice and relaxing but plane gets there quicker."
((Blythe: Well, there are other things I wouldn't mind doing to you but er...those can wait. ))
