Byakuren was looking through her room when the door to her room slid opening, quietly. A figure stepped in and slid it closed after they had entered. Byakuren turned her head as she heard the silent noises. "Selkie? Is that you?" She asked the person. "Is everything alright? You're very quiet today." She told the person as she began t turn around to get a good view of them.

"Selkie is just fine." The person responded. Byakuren's eyes widened as she saw this person staring at her with a wicked expression. Just then, the floor beneath Byakuren began to peel and pull up, Byakuren looking down at it, half expecting to fall as she move and jumped around to avoid harm. Suddenly, paper shot out from the far, adjacent walls and wrapped themselves around Byakuren, pinning her arms to her side and lifting her up off of the ground.

"What, what are you doing!?" Byakuren asked the person, to which she only received clapping and a laugh from them.

"Mhhmhmhm, Marvelous, MARVELOUS dancing, Hijiri." Her attacked told Byakuren. "As much as I'd love for you to stay so we can discuss, hmhm, matters further, I'm afraid that I just can't. You see," They snapped her fingers and from summoned up a bottle of sake and a glass from elsewhere in the temple. The person held the glass and let the bottle pour itself. "I have some peoples' attention to get." And without another word from either of them, and before Byakuren could even begin to try and say anything, the Byakuren's paper holdings and her were tossed up, the ceiling opening up and engulfing her. Byakuren let out a scream as she flew up, but the screaming stopped once the ceiling closed back up. The person took a sip of the glass of Sake and then tossed it in the air, it disappearing once more, along with the bottle. "And who knows, this may even be more fun than I planned. Mmhmm, Mmhm, Mmhmhahahaha."

The temple began to change quickly as time passed, into a place where it would be very hard to find peace to say the least.

((What do you think? You want in~? Everyone is welcome~))

Well, it has certainly turned interesting.

Ibara stood before the now more than intimidating Myouren Temple that was looming over the village at this point. Just the sheer visceral shock from the disturbing distortion to Byakuren's temple was enough to apparently frighten the villagers away and break worried sweat in Ibara's cheek. The temple's usually warm and welcoming look was gone.

The bartender had heard mild rumors the previous day and one her stroll had decided to judge for herself; this was worse than what the sods had said. Having built her own home, Ibara knew these cosmetic changes couldn't be done in a single night and that made her nervous. Something was going on in the temple, but even with her hat shielding from the direct glare of the structure, Ibara's muscles were tense.

There was no doubt. She had to go inside.

Ibara pulled her hands out of her pockets and pulled her fingerless gloves; the puny gate infront of her would stand no chance to a fully grown oni.

Though the idea of needing help crossed her mind...

More dreams, more nightmares, more visions!

As I awoke today, I found myself pondering a strange sight. A memory of my friend, Selkie, but I couldn't see her face at all... there was some sort of dark haze shielding me from her features. The dream gave me chills, and I started worrying about her, so I decided today I would visit the human village! Besides, my sidekick is off with her mentor - Kazuko-something-or-other - so I might as well keep busy!

But something weird is going on. When I got to the village, everyone was gone, or holed up in their homes. They wouldn't tell me why, but a few gave sideways glances towards the hill the Myouren Temple occupied. I'm going to investigate now - wish me luck, paper!

Lumine Mayflower, Wayward Celestial, stomped up the hill leading towards the Temple that had been like a sentinel over the village. But now, the building looked strange, dark, and gave off a terrible feeling. This certainly wasn't normal, as the Temple was usually filled with such light, and serenity! Could this have something to do with her dream..?

With her sword and backpack in tow, Lumine was halfway up the Temple's steps before she noticed another figure near the top. A tall woman with long dark hair, who had a rather intimidating appearance. Was she the one behind the strange changes to the Temple?

"Hey, you!" Lumine called out breathlessly as she reached the top stop, doubling over to grasp her knees as she panted. "S..stop right... right there!" She wiped sweat from her brow and put a hand to her sword's hilt, ready to draw it despite still being out of breath. "Who goes th... there! Huh? What happened to the temple??"
PostPosted: Thu Mar 21, 2013 10:34 pm

Her thoughts were cut off, Ibara gazed over her shoulder, her blue eye piercing past the shade of hat's brim. The girl was out of breath, but she had a sword. "You will have to do."

Ibara put a foot down a step pushing her hat a bit higher."I heard of a strange occurrence going on in this temple. I didn't believe the rumors so I came here myself. Seems sometimes the gossips are true ," She pointed behind her shoulder,"I was just about to head inside, but I wouldn't mind some help if things were to get bad. Byakuren Hijiri is a friend of mind, as well as Inaba Selkie, and the fact this is happening here at the shrine concerns me." The bartender stood fully on the step now,"I want to stop whatever is going on in there, and seems like so are you. I wanna keep this low profile, I rather not have my name in the village, but a single partner would do well."

"Trust me, I want this fixed; and I can't lie."

Ibara turned and walked up to the gate. She reeled her fist, then impacted the gate blowing the door off its hinges,"You can come with me if you want." The secretive bartender stepped inside as the dust was sill setting. By the time it was all calm she was holding the door up and about ready to replace it on its place,"But you have to chose now. Byakuren would be annoyed if I left the door open."

Whether Lumine went inside or not, Ibara replaced the door, hammering into solid place....

"Huh?" Lumine blinked, looking dumbfounded as ever. "I'll do for what?" She listened to the woman explain her side of the story, but her hand remained at her sword's hilt. "Trust you..? Why should I trust you?! You could be the one who'd behind the strange things happening and-- hey! Don't leave when I'm trying to talk to you!"

Without another thought, Lumine closed the distance between herself and the bartender as the latter threatened to close the gate, leaping between the gap as she forced it back into place.

Lumine had landed behind the bartender on her hands and knees, then spun around to face her. "Hey! What gives, you weirdo? Why the haste? You got somethin' to hide?" Cautiously, Lumine drew her sword part-way, flashing the crimson (painted) blade. "Hey, you better watch out! I'mma hero, ya'know? The coolest one there is, so don't try any funny business!"
PostPosted: Fri Mar 22, 2013 3:35 pm

After Lumine said "funny business", a laugh came from all around the two. The temple shook slightly and as it did, everything near them began to move away from them, the walls too. The temple's ceiling also began to rise, the walls with it, creating a huge world inside the temple. "Aww, no funny business?" The voice came again. "Well then, you're not going to be in for a good time. Mmhmm, mmhmhmhmhm." As the voice finished, stems began to sprout up from the ground, buds growing on them after the reached three feet in height. The buds bursted open after a few seconds and from each came a puffy white cloud.

The clouds floated up into a spiral formation and soon enough a figure began to make its way down them like stairs. "I hope neither of you mind my... redecorating." The figure told them. "But I've seen this place the same for so long that it's become drastically boring." She told them. The cloud stair case actually ended a distance before the floor, but as the figured reached the end, she began to walk down nothing in the same, spiral like way.

She stopped at the bottom, but only her silhouette could be seen by the oni and the celestial. "I hope you don't mind, but I'm still redecorating, so watch your heads." And as she said that, a torrent of flower pots, each holding a small flower, each of a different color, in them. The flower pots whipped towards the head area of the two, but the torrent of pots ended as quickly as it began. "And if you think this is weird of "funny"," She said with a smile. Sunflowers grew from the ground all around the three of them, large ones. The figure stuck her head behind one and pulled it back out, her head not there when it reappeared. Suddenly, the sunflowers circling the two girls all grew mouths, faced them, and all at once said, "This is just the beginning."

Outside in the graveyard, the tombstones uprooted themselves and spirit pyres appeared and began to float around, providing an eerie light to the graveyard.

"Glad to see you stuck around, blue-head, I don't mean to be mysterious or anything but--" Ibara had had her back to the sudden show since she was facing Lumine. Once the walls moved, her eyes darted to the sides and when the voice began to talk, "That is one theatrical appearance, I'll give you that much." She turned around, ready and looking at the ominous silhouette,"Name's Hinarasu Ibara, sky-head... guess introductions have been cut short."

"...Boring? Wait... How long have you been here--?!"
As the pots ran towards them the bartender brought her arms up to try and protect herself, though it was quickly over. She had lost track of the attacker so when she looked up, her eyes had to dart around. By the time the bartender whirred around, it was right into one of the jagged sunflower. Startled, she grabbed the stem and wringed it, leaning back to avoid being bitten by them,"These are nowhere as pretty as Yuuka's."

'Yo, sky-head, I think we should head to Byakuren's office. I have the feeling that she isn't okay.........."
PostPosted: Sat Mar 23, 2013 6:45 am

Lumine nearly jumped out of her skin when the third presence made itself known. "H-Hey, what!? Who said that--?!"

The following display of absurdity left the Celestial awestruck. She stood, rooted to the spot, until the flower pots came hurtling her way. Lumine flinched, yet reacted by drawing her sword fully, taking a step forward, and lashing out with the painted blade. The strike met only air, however, as the illusion faded just before the projectile pots reached them.

It took a moment to recover from her wild swing. Lumine squinted past her blade towards the shadowy figure, unable to make our their appearance just yet. "'Redecorating?' You're a terrible redecorator!! Who'd want their house looking like this? And what's with these flowers, huh?" She idly swiped at a row of sunflowers nearest to her. "This place looks horrible! You need to start back at square one!"

Content with her retort, Lumine propped her sword against the ground and leaned on it like a cane, putting up an amused front. "What a joke, right-- ....uh, Ibara was it? Oh yeah! My name's Lumine, by the way - Lumine Mayflower! And I," she returned her attention to the shadowed, headless figure, completely ignoring Ibara's advice. She swept up her sword and aimed it at the figure with an arrogant smirk. "Am here to find my friend! So you better stay outta my way!"

Though they couldn't see it, the figure gave an annoyed looked after Ibara said that the flowers weren't as beautiful as Yuuka's, but quickly changed it to a smile, which all the flowers showed. She snapped her fingers and once more she had her ehad, and the flowers lost their smiles. "Of course you'd love HER flowers more than mine." She said. A pulse could be felt through out the temple after she spoke. The floors boards began to shift and quiver, and soon enough it broke up from the floor and was instantly replaced with a field and a pathway of... soap. "And I'll have you know," She began once more. "I've been here for long enough."

Lumine said that the redecorating she had done was awful, causing a laugh from the figure, a great, echoing laugh. "Oh hoho, but that's the entire idea of redecorating, to make it look better, and if you remember not even a minute ago I said that I was just in the middle of it." When Lumine mentioned a friend, she became curious, but began to laugh once more, clouds popping up from stems in the newly created field. "Well, I'll tell you this much; I've taken care of everyone inside this temple, and you may see them again, but you may not want to." She told the celestial.

When Ibara said that they should head for Byakuren's office, the figure snapped her fingers and giggled. From down the hallway, way across the room, the door to Byakuren's office slid in along. "You mean this office?" She said, giggling once more. With a snap of her fingers, the door flew up along the wall and into another, newly created door, which poofed away. "Oops, my bad." The figure said.

"Like hell I would, her sunflowers don't look ready to bite," Ibara released the flower she had been holding backing to stand back to back with Lumine, "Hey, kid, stay close. This place is out of wha--- What the hell?" The floor peeled away beneath them. Fearing that the place would lead to any sort of fall, Ibara turned around and picked up Lumine. There was no fall though, but there was soap everywhere,"Shi--" She slipped and landed flat on her back, dropping Lumine across her stomach. "oof!... sorry, I thought something else was going to happen...!"

Ibara gently put Lumine off her, digging her nails and heels into the soap she was able to stand, albeit shakily. Her blue eyes pierced into the shape,"Taken care...? You will regret this. If you did anything to Byakuren or Selkie, I will personally shove your arm through your chest--!" Ibara's eyes flashed orange and her knuckles made loud noises as she clenched her fist, and when she was taunted with the door, the oni bared her teeth.

"You wanna play games? Alright, I'll play~" Ibara grinned and held a fist up. It ignited in the temperance energy and before even Lumine could move or say anything the bartender slid to the wall where the door had vanished and busted a hole up in the wall,"If you don't give me the door, I'll tear this whole. Place. APART~~~"

"Hey, whoa whoa--AH!" Lumine cried out, squirming as she was picked up by the tall woman. "Put me down, ya big oaf! I-- WAAAH--" Then she was promptly dropped, landing flat across the same woman's stomach. Lumine hat floated gently down and rested on her bottom. "...Nice going, weirdo."

Lumine took her hat before Ibara pulled her off, replacing it firmly on her head and searching about for her errant sword that went flying in the ensuing chaos. Trying to stand or even move on the soap was a joke, forcing her to crawl about on her hands and knees until she found it. Grasping its hilt again, she looked up just in time to see the door to Byakuren's office disappear into the ceiling, and the woman rushed forward with a sort of energy about her being, tearing into the wall.

Lumine sat up on her knees, clutching at her sword, only staring a bit in awe at the sight. "Um... h-hey! Ibara! Be careful that you don't bring the temple down on our heads, ya'know?"
PostPosted: Mon Apr 01, 2013 5:45 pm

The figure could not hold in her laughter as the two slipped around on her new soap roads. "Oh, you two are a great laugh, you know!?" She told them. When Ibara went monster, she raised a brow and gave a smile. "You should be careful, not only is this Byakuren's property, but it is also my domain now~" From the hole Ibara created came a puffy white cloud that floated over top of Lumine and began to pour sake down on her, making the figure giggle once again.

Sensing that Ibara may not give up, the figured sighed and said, "Fine, have it your way, but be warned, what you want may not be what you're looking for~" With that she jumped in the air and vanished in a burst of light. Suddenly, a door appeared in the middle of the room, along the soap roads. A more mocking, soft laugh could be heard echo through the room after it appeared.

The loud that was over top of Lumine would follow her until she went through the door (or left the temple grounds).

"That's more like it," Ibara snarled, mostly ignoring the comments from that mocking shadow. Grabbing onto the wall, she pushed off the wall, running and sliding into the wall, just barely stopping by crashing into the door she wanted to reach.

"Come on celestial hurry this way, before this weirdo decides to play more games." the oni waved for Lumine to come her way as she grabbed onto the door's frame and opening swinging the door open. She held her hand out in case Lumine needed a hand to make it to the door."COME ON. FOR TODAY."
PostPosted: Thu Apr 04, 2013 10:03 pm

"AAH!" Lumine exclaimed, clamoring to her feet in a frenzy, and taking her sword along with her. "Hey, I've already had my bath today! This isn't funny!!" She began to dance around, trying to run and dodge the persistent sake rain cloud. The thought of trying to slash at the cloud never crossed her mind.

She tugged down on her own hat, trying to guide its brim to shield more of herself from the rain as Ibara called out to her, clinging to the door's frame. Squinting past the stinging alcohol, Lumine reached out to grasp Ibara's hand, pulling, and throwing herself into the room beyond and away from the cloud's reach. She rolled across the floor inside (assuming there is a floor to roll on), and came to a stop a couple feet in.

"Ugh... this place is a joke..!" She complained, once more pulling herself to her feet and raising her sword.

The two would find themselves in the graveyard outside of the Myouren temple, the door slamming shut behind them and becoming a regular old door once more. The graveyard was definitely strange, as spirit pyres floated through the air and the trees, the land from beneath them pulled up causing them to float as well. The whole scene had a sort of dim light to it, the spirit pyres providing a dim, eerie blue glow to the scene. In front of the graves there were rectangular holes, as if it were dug up or ready for a burial.

In the graveyard, there was a youkai, walking and looking at the ground, not fazed by this new sight. They mumbled to themselves as they continued to walk.
