Greetings brothers and sister in Christ on this Palm Sunday.
How many of us ever really stop to think about how many prophecies need to be fulfilled for Jesus to come again to carry out the church from a world torn apart by wars, strife, earthquakes, tsunamis, pandemic illnesses and famine?
When Jesus comes again for us to meet Him in the air, can you even possibly imagine what it will look like?
The apostle Paul, wrote about what many believers call the rapture of the church.
The word "rapture" is never mentioned, but there are Bible verses that teach us to expect this carrying away of believers in the final days of Earth.
Let's look at 1st Thessalonians 4:13-17,
4:13 'But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope'.
4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.
4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
It may be much later than any of us could imagine.
Jesus could return tonight.
Today is the hour of salvation.
The trumpet of God could sound at any moment.
The new heaven and the new earth might be a heartbeat away.
