In Quint's room there is a warm feeling, the light blue walls going well with the white carpet, and the soft lighting. On the far side of his room are his recreational things, a top of the line computer, next to that a 50 inch plasma screen TV with all of his games, from the 360 down to the (Atari) 5600.

Near the door to his room was his desk, where many files and papers were, all having small scribbles of data and drawn symbols. It is there where he spends many hours coming up with new alchemy transmutations, a small lamp helping him see during the night. His bed lied on the wall next to the desk, as his best ideas usually came up during the night. The bed, a queen size matress, always looked like someone from a high class hotel made it.

The room itself is lit by theater style lights, able to brighten and dim as much as Quint needs them to. He always kept up his room, vacuuming and dusting every few days.

Unlocking the door to his room, Quint stepped in, still excited from the day's events. His computer, already booted up, told him that the album from Rammstein was finished, and that his guild in World of Warcraft was going to run Blackwing Lair tommorow. This put a smile on Quint's face, he would probably go and listen to his new music while there.

In the mean time though, he wasn't very tired, so his PS2 was turned on, DDR Max2 already inside.

"Are you ready?" The announcer from the game asked, right before the song ".59" started. Quickly his feet went to work on the steps.

The song finished, and the crowd cheered from their imaginary stands.

"Wow! It's a new record!" The score added up along with the bonuses, giving him the "A" he felt he deserved. Breathing hard, he walked over to his computer, where he launched World of Warcraft and logged into the forums of his guild. On the forums he signed up for BWL, and signed onto his 60 Priest, Dandra.

He thought briefly of Morrigan, wondering what was going on there. Suddenly a whisper of "Want to do DM West?" popped up, and all was forgotten. He really wanted the Mindtap Talisman.

Quint felt a small, warm breeze against his back, which was odd considering he didn't have any windows open or a heater turned on. In fact, a small, deeply red-colored hole had appeared in his apartment's floor, soon after which a half-dozen bats crawled though and lined themselves with, widening it. After a small pause, Morrigan floated up though the hole as it closed after her.

"Knock knock, darling," she said, announcing her presence.

The drop. A slight dissapointment; Quint didn't get the item he wanted. Thus, the next hour would be for naught. Sighing, Morrigan startled him a little, he was expecting knocks from the door.

He swiveled around in his chair, greeting Morrigan. "Hey, how's it going? Just the person I wanted to see.."

He turned back to answer to the party, "I'll be back in a second, gotta take care of something." He liked being a priest, the instance begins and ends at a priest's whim.

"Now," He was facing Morrigan again, "Like I said, I have something to tell you. First.." Quint got up and grabbed his chair from his desk, placing it behind Morrigan. "Please, sit."

"Oh?" Morrigan asked, taking a seat. "Let's hear it, darling." She already had a fair idea of what he was about to ask, though she might wrong. Quint seemed more capable than most people regarding a lot of things, so he might end up surprising her.

((By the way, was this meant to be in real time with The Aensland Estate, or did you want your apartment to have it's own time-line? We could start over if I messed it up for you. ^^;

I just thought that because you made and arrived at your apartment when you left my estate.))

A knock came from the door, and soon after it opened, Aonice popped her head in, noticing Quint and Morrigan. She blushed a second and spoke. "Hey! If your busy i uh, could just come back later" She said only slightly nervous, some Gauz from the fight earlier still wrapped around Aonice's stomach, hand and foot, but all the smaller injuries had dissapeared.

"Finally."

Turning from Morrigan, he warmly greeted Aonice at the door. "Not busy at all, come in, please."

With all parties present, Quint spoke, a deep authorative voice coming from him.

"As you are both well aware, this island is heavily fortified from any invaders or attacks." He looked towards Aonice, for she was the island's caretaker, and it was her that put up many of the defenses they had now.

"But, what I saw the other day caused me to worry.." His voice trailed off, "A little."

Grabbing a remote from his desk, he pushed a couple buttons, and on the large screen were pictures of some kind of...monster. It was massive, pale in skin, and had three heads for tails that seemed to act on their own. With huge ten feet arms, he moved similar to a gorilla, using his arms to support his size, while his overall pudgy body seemed to discreet some kind of red acid, it burning everything around him. The pictures and tapes showed how much destructive force he had; tearing down the highest of buildings, eating and trampling people with a speed unfit for his size, and his immunity to solid bullets, rockets, and even small grade nuclear explosions. On the videos the beast would yell out a name, and while it was unclear because of its erratic voice, Quint paused the movie to say the name that the monster couldn't.

"Quint." He spoke softly, turning off the TV. He walked over to the front of it, facing both women.

"That. That is the thing that wants my head more than anyone else on this planet." He took a long pause before continuing, "And it's coming here."

Gatz knocked on the door and invited himself in.

"Hey Quint--" Gatz looked at the girls and gasped.

"--Morri's actually left the estate to go somewhere else on the island! Quick, get a picture!"

He pulled out a camera and snapped a polaroid photo of the somewhat reclusive sucubus. Once it delevoped in a few minutes, it would clearly show her against the backdrop of Quint's room.

"It's like getting a picture of Bigfoot scuba-diving off the coast of Hawaii..." he chuckled to himself.

Aonice didn't seem to be taking the whole presentation rather seriously, "I doubt that things getting here unless it knows how to swim" She raised an eyebrow at quint, "And it doesn't look like it can either,"

"... I feel like I missed out on something important..." Gatz said, pocketing the photograph.

"It would be awesome if he couldn't swim.." Quint said to the skeptic Aonice, "But he doesn't need to breathe. Thus, he could get anywhere to get to me."

He saw Gatz pop in, snagging a once in a lifetime photo of Morrigan. Quint laughed a little, then popped back to the matter at hand.

"So, I have a problem. Which is why you two are here." He referred to the two women. "I need help. I've tried before to kill this abomination that I brought onto this earth, but I was unsuccessful." He lifed up his shirt and turned around, a large scar crossed from his lower left side to his upper right.

"That is a souvenir of the last time I failed, and I fear that the next time I try might be my last. I cannot let this...thing live any longer. Will you help me?"

"Not really," Gatz said, musing out loud. "We could always shoot you into space. Whatever you're talking about would probably have a hard time reaching the terminal velocity needed to escape earth's gravity. But I suppose you'd rather stay on the planet if you could..."

"So, what the heck are we talking about anyways? I heard the word 'abomination.' I'm pretty good at dealing with those..." He grinned. "... seeing as I'm one myself, of course..."
PostPosted: Sun Mar 12, 2006 2:26 pm

Quint didn't want to include many others into his problems, but since Gatz was already here, Quint decided to let him in on the situation.

"This...abomination is something I created. I was the one toying with existance, and this is the burden that was put upon me. It now seeks my life, it thinking that killing me would help it achieve completeness. So now, I," He took a quick pause, "Hopefully we have to kill it, before it destroys not only this island, but others as well."

"Yeah, the whole 'meddling with existance' thing always seems to come back and bite you in the rear, doesn't it?" Gatz said sympathetically. Then he added, "It's a great party trick, though, if you can find a group of people who'll survive it."

"So, exactly what all can this nasty little bugger you whipped up while playing God do? Make a french fries?" he asked candidly.
