Chris hates playing with a plectrum. He only played live with one when he had an injury on his finger that had turned into a gaping wound. I'm not too sure about home playing and studio stuff though, but I'm pretty sure he hates it.

I'm not too sure about home playing and studio stuff though, but I'm pretty sure he hates it. yup thats true, plus playing with a plectum gives a different sound. yeah i see what u mean ive only seen him once use a pick but bass by muse is alot easier to play with fingers i only use a pick onTSP casue i find it better

And I had a friend who kept her thumb nail long so she could play guitar with it. Then it broke, poor girl.

chris plays piano sometimes but not very often
and even sometimes guitar
and does backup vocals
he also didnt want to play bass when they first formed their band
but now hes pro at it because he agreed to playing bass eventually =D

Yeah, I think it was after Reading that a doctor told him to stop doing that so much (he said this in one of the two interviews I've ever seen with him talking. XD)

Actually Chris uses a plectrum in a few songs: Assassin, Map of the Problematique, Knight of Cydonia, and more.
